Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1624: Chapter 1618: Worrying Oneself to Death

“If I were your mom, I would worry myself to death.” Qin Jiale shook her head. Having daughters like this must be exhausting. She wondered what they were all doing and where they were going.

“No way, next time you come over to our house, you’ll understand. To be honest, our families all know each other.” Ye Zishu also knew that in the eyes of others, this might seem problematic, but they had all grown up together.

They got to know the Cai Wenzhao family while shopping, and gradually became familiar, leading to more interactions. They connected with the Xu Shaoqin family through her mother, and Xu Shaoqin’s family was friends with the Guan Xiaojun family. Thus, one family connected to another, and eventually, everyone became acquainted. Additionally, they were fated to study together, so their families never worried when they were together.

“Alright, I don’t quite get how you all think, but as long as your parents know what you’re up to, that’s fine. Now, how about you all go out and play while my mom and I cook for you?” Qin Jiale nodded. If she did something like that, who knows how worried her parents would be?

“Sure, but can we stay and help out?” Xu Shaoqin felt a bit embarrassed about eating without contributing.

“Okay then, see if there’s anything here you know how to make and do that.” Qin Jiale wasn’t sure what they could do, so she let them choose for themselves.

“Let’s not stand on ceremony then, you all pick something, and I’ll choose to handle the vegetables.” Ye Zishu had helped her mom with this at home, so she could do it.

“Alright, let’s get to work, ladies.” Guan Xiaojun glanced around and then encouraged everyone to start.

“By the way, do you want to eat fried rice? I can make it for you, want some?” Qin Jiale remembered Ye Li saying he liked it, and since he was visiting her house today, it was a perfect opportunity to make some.

“Sure, is it the kind you brought to school last time?” Guan Xiaojun asked Qin Jiale.

“Yeah, that’s the one.” Qin Jiale nodded.

Last time, she had brought it to school intending to give it to Ye Li, as she had promised him. However, once at school, she hesitated, feeling a bit awkward about being seen by classmates, so she didn’t give it to him. Instead, she brought it back to the dorm, where her foodie friends saw it, and she shared a bit with them. Of course, it was just a small taste, not enough to finish it.

Thinking back to how they wanted to eat but were also reluctant to take her share, it warmed her heart. In her previous dorm, it would have been snatched up quickly without a thought to leave her any.

So, today was a great opportunity as they were all together. She decided to make enough for everyone to enjoy, and maybe even take some home.

“Great, you should teach us too. I feel like we’ve really hit the jackpot having you around; you can make anything, and we’re all lucky to have such delicious meals.” Among them, Ye Zishu was the youngest and the pickiest eater with a discerning palate.

“As my sister would say, as long as you do it with your heart, you can learn by watching.” Qin Jiale was taught by Qin Xue, who showed her the ropes.

The hands-on teaching involved Qin Xue doing it once for her to watch, then letting her try it herself. After practicing a few times, she got the hang of it.

“Lele, I think your sister sounds amazing. It would be great if we could meet her someday.” Xu Shaoqin always heard about all the great things Qin Jiale’s sister did and was even more impressed after hearing about her cooking skills. She was eager to meet this legendary woman.

Qin Jiale’s sister had completely piqued Xu Shaoqin’s interest, and she wanted to see what kind of amazing woman she was.
