Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1611: Chapter 1605: Out of the Ordinary Chapter 1611: Chapter 1605: Out of the Ordinary “Mom, I’m heading out now. You and Qing Zhu take your time chatting.” Qin Jiale wanted to see if she could catch some shrimp and bring them back so she could make something delicious.

She also planned to make some dried shrimp to take to school, where her foodie friends kept talking about wanting to eat the food her mom made.

Qin Jiale, holding a basket, walked towards the door, and when she passed by the children, she stopped.

“Darlings, be good and listen, okay? Auntie will get some good food for you.” Qin Jiale squatted down and softly asked the children.

“Auntie, can we come with you?” Cohen didn’t expect Qin Jiale to be going out.

So he wanted to go out too, feeling restless waiting for his parents here every day.

“Not today, sweetie. Auntie’s going to the river to catch fish, shrimp, and whelks for you. It’s too dangerous there with the water, and Auntie can’t keep an eye on you all. Let’s wait for another time, and Auntie will take you out just to play, okay?” It wasn’t that Qin Jiale didn’t want to take them; it was truly dangerous there.

Going there, she’d need to catch whelks and shrimp, and couldn’t keep an eye on the kids. What if something happened? So, the best solution was not to take them.

“But we want to go too.” Cohen looked at Qin Jiale pitifully.

“Yu Ze, what do you think?” Qin Jiale glanced at the children, finally focusing on her eldest nephew.

“I won’t go, and neither should the younger ones.” Yu Ze understood the implication of Qin Jiale’s question, so he cooperatively refused.

“You heard what Yu Ze said, right? Be good and wait at home for Auntie, okay? Otherwise, no goodies for you.” Qin Jiale stopped to talk to them because she was worried that they’d follow her as soon as she left.

If that happened, the kids’ safety would be even more at risk without her knowing.

“Auntie, hurry back. My brothers and I will wait for you at home.” Jingtao also cooperated well with Qin Jiale.

“You’re such good kids. Auntie’s heading out now, goodbye!” Qin Jiale waved at the children and thought she’d better go sooner and come back sooner.

“Why didn’t you all go along with me? If we all said we wanted to go, Auntie would have taken us.” Cohen looked at the little kids, irritated. Why were they holding him back?

“Because Auntie’s going to do work, and if we go, we’d distract her and she wouldn’t be able to concentrate. What if something happened to her? Have you thought about the consequences?” Yu Ze spoke to Cohen with an unusually mature tone and words for his age.

“Well, even if we go, we might not necessarily cause trouble.” Cohen was a bit frightened by Yu Ze.

“You said ‘might not,’ but we’re all kids, so small, without any safety measures. If anyone falls into the river, they’d surely drown. Do you want to see that happen?” Yu Ze looked steadily at Cohen.

If others saw Yu Ze like this, they’d surely be shocked. They’d think this kid’s on another level.

“Alright, I was wrong, okay?” Cohen thought for a moment about that scenario.

Though he didn’t quite understand what drowning meant.

But seeing Yu Ze’s serious expression made him subconsciously admit his mistake.

Though it felt odd, he thought Yu Ze made a lot of sense.

“Grandma is already working hard to take care of us. If we don’t behave, what then? How will we explain our situation to Mom and Dad when they return? Am I right?” Yu Ze’s behavior at this moment was nothing like someone his age.

But these were young and naive kids, so they didn’t think deeply about it, otherwise, Yu Ze would definitely give himself away.

And this is something Qin Xue and Xue Ling had always wanted to keep hidden.

They just didn’t want others to see how unique Yu Ze was.
