Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1618: Chapter 1612: Too Sensible Chapter 1618: Chapter 1612: Too Sensible Sometimes Nangong Shulan felt that these children were as sensible as adults, requiring no worry at all. But it was precisely because of this that she felt even more pained—they were just children, so young, what could they truly understand.

“Teacher, please have some water. Children, come inside; don’t stay outside.” Nangong Shulan had to entertain the guest while keeping an eye on the children outside. She was afraid of neglecting them, so she felt more at ease calling them inside.

“Got it, Grandma. You chat with the guest, I’ll watch them.” Yu Ze glanced at Nangong Shulan and then at Ye Junhua.

No one knew what circumstances the teacher’s family was in, but regardless of the reason, it wouldn’t be appropriate for Grandma to neglect the guest and lose manners.

“Alright, Grandma understands. Thank you, Yu Ze.” Nangong Shulan smiled and thanked her grandson. Among the children, the eldest grandson was the most sensible one.

“No need to thank me.” Yu Ze’s childish voice was so cute and endearing, making everyone who heard it feel warm inside.

“Are these all your grandchildren?” Ye Junhua looked at the several children entering the room; they were well-behaved, polite, and well taken care of.

Especially the child who spoke earlier, incredibly smart. In his many years of teaching, he had never seen such a young child who was so sensible and polite.

Even in his family, known as a literary family, there were no children like this. The more he looked at Yu Ze, the more satisfied he felt.

“Uncle, do I look good?” Yu Ze saw the approval in Ye Junhua’s eyes and couldn’t understand what he was satisfied with, which made him feel puzzled.

“Yu Ze, you should address him as Grandpa or Teacher, not Uncle.” Nangong Shulan was at a loss with her grandson. This teacher was of her generation, and calling him Uncle would downgrade him a generation, which would be impolite to the guest.

“Oh, hello, Grandpa.” Yu Ze glanced at Nangong Shulan, pursed his lips, and then finally opened his mouth to greet.

“Hello, Grandpa.” Seeing Yu Ze greet him, the other children also chimed in together to greet.

“Hello, everyone. Big sister, you have taught your children well.” Ye Junhua finally voiced what he wanted to say.

Good children should be praised because they inherently lack confidence. Frequent commendation can yield unexpected results, a hundred times more effective than scolding them.

“Teacher, you flatter us. Is there something you need from our family today?” Nangong Shulan asked. After sitting for a while, the teacher still hadn’t stated his purpose, leaving her feeling uncertain.

“Actually, it’s nothing much. My daughter and your Ling Ai are good friends. She wanted to visit her friend, and I was a bit uncomfortable letting them come over alone, so I brought them along. In the meantime, I wanted to see what kind of family raises such outstanding children, so I could learn some lessons.” Ye Junhua replied, half-serious and half-joking.

“Teacher, your words make me blush. You are an educator teaching and nurturing others. If anyone should be learning, it should be me learning from you.” Nangong Shulan felt a bit embarrassed. Since her daughter was young, they never really managed her much; it was all up to her own discipline. Now, hearing the teacher say this, she felt an unexpected sense of shame.

This child was practically brought up like she was free-range, and receiving such a high evaluation from the teacher really surprised her. Although she always knew her daughter was an excellent child, she did overlook her at times.

“Let’s learn from each other and not push compliments back and forth. It’s all for the well-being of the children. I learn good methods from you for better educating the children, so there’s no need for humility.” Ye Junhua felt a bit helpless. After all the talking, they were just exchanging compliments between themselves.
