I'm Not Afraid of My Wife Being 30 Years Old, I'm Afraid of Her Knowing Everything

85: Let’s go out and play another dayXia He really didn’t know anything about cars.

Listening to the Female salesperson’s introduction, she was completely bewildered!

Chen Qiao knew a little bit, though, and gave Xia He plenty of advice.

Fortunately, the Mini’s exterior and interior design really appealed to women.

Xia He was all about looks anyway.

She didn’t care much about performance.

As long as the car looked good, it was fine.

After looking at all the cars in the showroom, Xia He took a liking to a blue and white Mini Countryman.

Jiang Hao, who was there to offer advice, saw that she really liked this car and asked the Female salesperson, ”Is this car in stock?”

The Female salesperson nodded. ”Sir, we happen to have this car in stock. However, the price will be a bit higher. If you can accept the price, we can get the paperwork done today!”

Jiang Hao understood exactly what the Female salesperson meant.

News about having to pay extra to get cars from luxury brands like BBA was common on the internet, and Jiang Hao didn’t mind.

If it’s expensive, so be it; as long as he could drive it off the lot today.

Jiang Hao checked the price; the top-trim model came out to a little over 300,000, which wasn’t too expensive.

Jiang Hao asked Xia He beside him, ”Older Female Cousin, have you decided? Is it this one?”

Xia He nodded. ”Yeah, this car is really good-looking. It fits my aesthetic.”

Chen Qiao asked the Female salesperson, ”By the way, is it possible to test drive this car?”

The Female salesperson nodded quickly. ”Yes, you can. Do you two want to test drive it now? Do you have your driver’s licenses with you?”

Xia He shook her head. ”I didn’t bring mine.”

Chen Qiao asked Jiang Hao, ”Do you have yours? If you brought it, you can take Xiao He for a test drive.”

Me, test drive it?

Jiang Hao didn’t want to test drive it at all.

He wasn’t the one driving this car, so why bother?

He asked Xia He, ”Do you have a photo of your driver’s license on your phone?”

Xia He quickly said, ”Let me check!”

She picked up her phone and scrolled through it, and there was indeed a photo of her driver’s license. ”There really is a photo.”

The Female salesperson beside them told Xia He, ”Ms. Xia, a photo is fine. Do you need me to go ahead and process the test drive for you now?”

Xia He asked Jiang Hao, ”Xiao Hao, why don’t you go for the test drive?”

Jiang Hao smiled. ”You’re the one who will be driving this car, so you should be the one to test drive it. See if the handling and everything else meets your requirements. If you’re satisfied with everything, we can get the car today and you can drive to work tomorrow.”

After some discussion, it was decided that Chen Qiao would accompany Xia He on the test drive.

Jiang Hao didn’t go; instead, he sat in the customer reception area to drink tea and rest.

He had only been resting for a few minutes when a video chat request suddenly popped up on his phone.

Jiang Hao thought it was Shen Zhi or Xiao Mi calling.

He picked it up and saw that it was actually An Ning, whom he had added as a friend only yesterday. He couldn’t help but frown.

”Why is this Little Lass video calling me? Could it be about her classmate’s summer tutoring?”

Jiang Hao pondered for a moment and figured it was most likely about that.

He and An Ning had only added each other yesterday, they weren’t very close, and there was nothing else it could be.

Jiang Hao answered the video call and greeted An Ning on the screen, ”Hello, beautiful!”

An Ning must have placed her phone on a table some distance away, as he could see her upper body.

She was wearing a pink short-sleeved shirt, and her shoulder-length hair was tied into two small braids resting on her shoulders. Combined with her naturally beautiful, makeup-free face, she looked pure, lovely, and charming.

An Ning waved at Jiang Hao in front of the camera. ”Hello, Brother Hao, are you free right now?”

Jiang Hao held his teacup up to the camera and swirled it. ”I’m just having some tea, so I happen to be free. Tell me, what’s up?”

An Ning suddenly leaned her face closer and asked Jiang Hao, ”Brother Hao, are you at a 4S dealership looking at cars?”

Jiang Hao was curious as to why she asked that, so he asked An Ning, ”You’re right, I am at a 4S dealership looking at cars. How did you figure that out?”

An Ning pointed behind Jiang Hao. ”There’s such a big ’Mini’ logo behind you, and since you don’t work at a 4S dealership, I guessed you were looking at cars. I didn’t expect I’d actually guess right! How about that, am I clever?”

An Ning giggled after saying that, looking playful and cute.

Upon hearing An Ning’s words, Jiang Hao looked back and indeed saw a ’Mini’ logo behind him.

”This Little Lass has sharp eyes. I didn’t even notice it just now, but she did.”

Jiang Hao gave An Ning a thumbs up in front of the camera. ”Impressive, truly impressive.”

After chatting with An Ning for a bit, Jiang Hao asked her, ”An Ning, you must have called me for a reason, right?”

An Ning nodded. ”Didn’t I mention to you yesterday that a few of my classmates are looking for a training center for summer tutoring? After I got back last night, I chatted with them and told them about my younger sister going to your sister’s studio for tutoring. They decided they wanted to come too, but their parents want to visit your studio first. See when you might be free to arrange that? I’ll have them and my sister come over for a visit.”

Jiang Hao didn’t expect An Ning to be so efficient; she had already arranged this so quickly.

”It’s clear she really cares about this. This Little Lass is truly great; she’s worth getting to know better.”

Jiang Hao pondered, ”I happen to have a few parents visiting the studio this afternoon around 3:00. I might as well arrange for them to all come at the same time. That would not only save time but also make the parents feel that the studio is capable and reliable.”

Thinking this was feasible, Jiang Hao told An Ning via video, ”How about this: our studio is holding a small communication event for parents around 3:00 this afternoon. You can have your classmates bring their parents over to visit and sit in. That way, they can get a direct understanding of our studio. What do you think?”

An Ning thought for a moment and told Jiang Hao, ”Wait a second, let me go ask my younger sister if she wants to go out this afternoon.”

Jiang Hao asked An Ning with a smile, ”Does your younger sister never go out? Has she become a homebody?”

An Ning laughed, ”You hit the nail on the head. My younger sister is really a homebody. I try to get her to go out with me, but she won’t go, which is making me a homebody too.”

Jiang Hao’s eyes lit up when he heard this, and he told An Ning, ”How about this: when you have time, let’s all go out together. It’s boring to stay home all the time. Bring your younger sister along. If she gets out more and meets more people, maybe she won’t be such a homebody and won’t have such social anxiety.”

An Ning’s eyes lit up. ”Oh, that’s a good idea, but I have to discuss it with my younger sister and get her permission. I don’t have time today, though; I have things to do in a bit. Wait for me for a second.”

An Ning got up and left, but didn’t end the video call.

Jiang Hao could faintly hear An Ning and An Jing talking.

A few minutes later, An Ning returned and told Jiang Hao, ”I just confirmed with my younger sister and those classmates. They will bring their parents to visit your studio this afternoon. Brother Hao, you have to make sure everything goes well and don’t drop the ball, or else my classmates will beat me to death.”

Jiang Hao made a gesture. ”Don’t worry, it’ll be perfectly fine.”

An Ning had other things to do, so she ended the video call with Jiang Hao shortly after.

Twenty-something minutes later, Xia He and the others returned from the test drive.
