I'm Not Afraid of My Wife Being 30 Years Old, I'm Afraid of Her Knowing Everything

54: I’ll be your older brother, and I’ll definitely make you famous!Wen Jiajia, who was eating crab roe buns, pointed at Xiao Mi:

”Ask her. I’ll go wherever she wants to go, I don’t mind!”

Jiang Hao looked at Xiao Mi, who was drinking eight-treasure porridge:

”Sister Mi, where do you want to go today?”

Xiao Mi actually wanted to go shopping.

But because she had overexerted herself last night, her legs were a bit sore today, making her feel frustrated:

”Sigh, I was still a bit too intense last night. Otherwise, I would have been able to go shopping properly today.”

However, Xiao Mi was too embarrassed to say those words out loud, so she found an excuse for herself:

”I’m a bit tired today. How about we find a place to have some tea?”

Seeing Xiao Mi say this, Wen Jiajia said with a half-smile:

”Weren’t you quite wild last night? Now you know what tired feels like? I don’t think you’re tired; your legs are just too sore to walk, right? Yesterday when we left, you were saying how you’d take advantage of the break to go shopping these two days, but today you want to go for tea. Are you even up for it, Sister!”

Having her inner thoughts exposed by Wen Jiajia, Xiao Mi didn’t get angry; instead, she admitted it generously:

”Yo, as expected of my good Sister, your insight is really sharp. Hehe, you’re right, my legs really do hurt. But since you’ve put it that way, I’ll risk my life to accompany the gentleman today. Didn’t you want to go shopping too? Then I’ll go with you. Hurry up and eat; we’re going to the mall right after!”

Even though Wen Jiajia was teasing Xiao Mi, she was also quite concerned about her:

”Don’t push yourself, Sister. If it’s really no good, we’ll just go drink tea and play mahjong. We can go shopping anytime; it’s not like we’re in a rush.”

Just as Wen Jiajia finished speaking, her phone rang.

She picked it up and saw it was an unknown number.

”Who is this? Why are they calling me so early in the morning?”

Xiao Mi took a glance:

”Pick it up and see. If it’s nothing, just hang up.”

Wen Jiajia nodded and answered the call:

”Hello, who is this?”

A middle-aged man’s deep voice came from the phone:

”Is this Miss Wen? I am President Cao from XX Media Company. Um, we’ve met before. I’m calling today to ask how you’ve considered that matter. If...”

Before the other party could finish, Wen Jiajia exploded with anger and cursed:

”Consider my foot, you old geezer! Don’t you f-ing try to scheme against me, Wen Jiajia. Even if I, your grandmother, were to go out and be someone’s mistress, I wouldn’t be yours, you bald, creepy creep! Why don’t you find a mirror and see what kind of trash you are? You think you’re worthy...”

Wen Jiajia gave the person on the phone a harsh scolding, then hung up without waiting for a reply, blocking the number as well.

After putting down her phone, she said with an indignant look:

”That old geezer. I hate even hearing his voice; it’s truly disgusting!”

Xiao Mi quickly comforted Wen Jiajia:

”Jiajia, don’t be angry. Anyway, you’re not going to work there, so just ignore that old fossil.”

Wen Jiajia nodded:

”Yeah, not angry, not angry. It’s not worth it, no need. Eat buns, eat buns!”

While they were drinking last night,

Wen Jiajia had told Jiang Hao about it.

She had been scouted by an old man from a media company during an interview, and he had proposed to keep her as a mistress.

Jiang Hao hadn’t paid much attention at the time, but he didn’t expect the old man to actually call. He really wouldn’t give up.

Jiang Hao thought for a moment and asked Wen Jiajia:

”Sister Jiajia, with your looks and figure, your account’s follower count and streaming revenue should be very high, right? Why did you think of going to work at a media company? I heard that the water in media companies is very deep and the contracts are very harsh. You might end up getting trapped without even making any money.”

”You might as well be an independent Streamer. You’d make money and be free; there’s no need to look for trouble, right?”

Jiang Hao knew Wen Jiajia was a Streamer, but he hadn’t asked for details and didn’t know her ID, follower count, or earnings.

Wen Jiajia shook her head:

”Xiao Hao, you think streaming is too easy. I do have confidence in my looks and figure, but you have to know that with the help of beauty filters and slimming effects, there are a lot of beauties on the platform. Some Streamers, in order to attract attention, specifically buy prosthetics online to enhance their assets.”

Wen Jiajia made a gesture in front of her chest and said to Jiang Hao:

”You must have seen those news reports, right? With those kinds of prosthetics, even if you’re as flat as an airport, you’ll look like a busty girl once you put them on. Then, with the beauty filters on, what appears on the camera is a big-breasted, beautiful woman. For someone natural like me, my own advantages aren’t that obvious anymore.”

Jiang Hao did know about this.

There were far too many of these artificial beauties on the internet.

Famous ones like Chuchu Baby and Qiao Biluo—didn’t they all use beauty filters to fool people?

Once the camera was off, they were nothing.

Xiao Mi echoed Wen Jiajia’s words:

”I’ve heard some colleagues mention that if you want to stand out in the streaming industry, you either sign with a media company and have them spend heavily to promote you into a top-tier Streamer—but these almost always involve signing harsh contracts where you lose your personal freedom and become the company’s cash cow, making it extremely difficult to get out.”

”Of course, you can also be a free Streamer without joining a company, but then you have to encounter a wealthy ’Big Brother’ to support you. The price you pay is having to serve the Big Brother well and accept his various demands. Jiajia has encountered several Big Brothers before.”

”They asked Jiajia for offline dates, but she refused them all. If she were to run into a villain or an unsettled man, it would be a huge problem. In the end, those Big Brothers all ran off, and only some casual viewers occasionally give small tips. Although she doesn’t make big money, it’s enough to eat. It’s mainly the ’won’t starve’ type. Want to become a big hit?”

Xiao Mi and Wen Jiajia shook their heads simultaneously:

”It’s hard, very hard!”

Jiang Hao also knew a bit about the streaming industry.

Becoming a top-tier Streamer was incredibly difficult.

Especially for a female Streamer with some looks; it was basically impossible to become top-tier without sacrificing something.

Jiang Hao looked at the somewhat dejected Wen Jiajia and comforted her:

”Sister Jiajia, remember to notify me next time you start a stream. I’ll come to support you and be your Big Brother. Who knows, I might accidentally make you famous, right?”

Hearing Jiang Hao’s words, Wen Jiajia smiled:

”Oh, I’m your Sister and you’re my brother, yet you actually want to be my ’Big Brother’? You’re turning the natural order upside down! But then again, if you have spare cash, you might as well open a media company. When the time comes, you can sign me. As long as you pay me on time and don’t make me sign those indentured servitude contracts, I’ll follow you for the rest of my life and stick with you.”

Xiao Mi also joked from the side:

”Me too, me too! As long as you open a media company, Xiao Hao, I’ll also come work for you. With mine and Jiajia’s looks and figures, even if we don’t become huge hits, becoming minor hits is definitely no problem. We definitely won’t let you lose money.”

Although Xiao Mi and Wen Jiajia were joking, Jiang Hao was actually tempted:

”The balance in my card is almost twenty million. Leaving it there is just leaving it there. Why not really try opening a media company? When the time comes, I’ll sign several more beautiful Streamers. One every night—no, three every night—wouldn’t that be wonderful?”

The more he thought about it, the more he felt it was feasible.

Jiang Hao slapped the table:

”Deal, I think this is worth a shot.”

Xiao Mi and Wen Jiajia were startled by Jiang Hao’s action and said in unison:

”You don’t have a fever, do you?”
