I'm Not Afraid of My Wife Being 30 Years Old, I'm Afraid of Her Knowing Everything

83: It’s because the size is too small!”Buying me a car?” Hearing Jiang Hao wanted to buy her a car, Xia He quickly said,

”You don’t need to buy me a car. I can just take the bus and subway to work. A car wouldn’t be very useful for me. You already spent hundreds of thousands on me yesterday, and buying a car would cost even more. You’ve already spent so much money on me; I’d feel terrible if you spent more. You still need to save money to buy a house.”

Xia He kept trying to persuade Jiang Hao not to buy her a car.

From the look in her eyes and her tone, it was clear she genuinely didn’t want him to spend money, rather than just pretending.

Jiang Hao didn’t need to worry about money at all now.

Just yesterday alone, he had farmed quite a bit of Favorability from Xia He, Chen Qiao, and the others, and the funds in his system had increased by another few hundred thousand.

This money was more than enough to buy a car.

Jiang Hao held Xia He’s hand and expressed his view:

”Older Female Cousin, your studio is a bit far from where you live, and you have to transfer between the subway and bus. Recently, there have been frequent thunderstorms, making commuting inconvenient. It would be much more convenient if you had a car to get around.

Most importantly, parents often visit your studio. With a car, you can pick up parents who find it inconvenient to drive, which will not only improve the studio’s overall image but also make these parents recognize the studio’s strength...”

Xia He agreed with what Jiang Hao said.

Having a car would indeed be much more convenient, but she didn’t want him to spend more money on her:

”Xiao Hao, what you said makes sense, but I can’t keep spending your money, right? The studio has already started operating. It won’t be too late for me to buy a car after I make some profit in a while...”

Before Xia He could say anything more, Jiang Hao pulled her into his arms and kissed her fiercely.

”Xiao... mmm...”

Jiang Hao gave her a long, deep kiss, leaving Xia He nearly suffocated.

”Xiao Hao, you... can’t you be a little more gentle? I almost couldn’t breathe. You’re so bad...”

Jiang Hao wiped the corner of his mouth and chuckled:

”You are my woman now, so you have to listen to me. It’s settled that we’re buying a car. Get ready, we’re leaving for the 4S dealership right now.”

Jiang Hao’s actions were very domineering.

Not only was Xia He not dissatisfied, but she felt incredibly sweet and happy instead.

”It feels so good to be pampered by someone. So happy, so sweet...”

Under Jiang Hao’s overbearing insistence, Xia He finally agreed to buy a car.

However, her condition was that the price couldn’t be too high; if it was too high, she wouldn’t want it. Jiang Hao agreed to her request.

Just as the two were getting ready to leave, Xia He’s phone rang.

She thought it was that gambler calling, but it was a call from Chen Qiao, so she answered it.

Before Xia He could speak, Chen Qiao’s voice came through first:

”Old Xia, have you and Xiao Hao woken up yet?”

Hearing this from Chen Qiao, Xia He blushed deeply:

”Grandma Chen, what are you saying? What do you mean ’have you and Xiao Hao woken up’? Can you please speak properly? It’s already this late; of course I’m up.”

Chen Qiao laughed on the other end of the line:

”Alright, alright. You didn’t go home last night, so I know who you were with. It’s not like it’s something shameful. Xiao Hao is handsome and wealthy; you should be secretly happy to be with him. I’m so envious I can’t even express it.”

Xia He and Chen Qiao were college roommates, and they had a very good relationship.

Chen Qiao also knew a little about the relationship between Xia He and Jiang Hao, so she wasn’t curious about it.

Seeing that Chen Qiao had guessed who she was with last night immediately, Xia He didn’t try to argue—no, justify—herself.

However, she didn’t dwell on this topic and asked Chen Qiao:

”Why are you calling me? Where are you?”

Chen Qiao didn’t harp on the previous topic either and told Xia He:

”I’m over at Kaifa Road, not far from where we had dinner yesterday. If you are nearby, do you want to go to the studio with me? We still have to pick up a few parents to visit the studio this afternoon.”

Upon hearing this from Chen Qiao, Xia He raised an eyebrow.

She was just about to go out with Jiang Hao.

Whether to bring Chen Qiao along depended on Jiang Hao, so she couldn’t help but look at him.

The phone was on speaker, so Jiang Hao had also heard the conversation between Xia He and Chen Qiao.

Jiang Hao nodded, signaling for Xia He to agree.

Xia He understood Jiang Hao’s meaning and told Chen Qiao on the phone:

”Then wait for me at Kaifa Road, and I’ll come to pick you up.”

After chatting a bit more, Xia He hung up the phone.

After hanging up, Xia He looked at Jiang Hao, feeling a bit melancholy:

”It’s over, it’s over. Grandma Chen knows about us. She’s definitely going to tease me about this. I won’t be able to hold my head up in front of her from now on. It’s so embarrassing...”

When Xia He said ”hold my head up,” she didn’t mean it in a shameful way. It was just teasing between good friends.

Jiang Hao didn’t care about this:

”What’s the big deal? Our relationship is open and aboveboard, okay? It’s fine, she won’t be able to tease you about anything...”

Xia He pouted and said:

”Fine, fine, I’ll just think of it that way then.”

A few minutes later, Jiang Hao drove Xia He away from the hotel.

Because it was still raining, the road was a bit congested.

The trip, which should have taken seven or eight minutes, took nearly twenty minutes to reach Kaifa Road.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Xia He identified Chen Qiao standing on the side of the road with a blue umbrella and waved at her:

”Chen Qiao, over here, over here.”

Chen Qiao also saw Xia He waving at her from the car and waved back in response.

She trotted all the way to Jiang Hao’s car, opened the door, and sat in the back seat.

Once in the car, Chen Qiao sighed:

”It really is more convenient to have your own car on a rainy day like this. It’s just too inconvenient without one.”

Chen Qiao seemed to think of something and said to Jiang Hao in the driver’s seat with a smile:

”Boss Jiang, since our Xiao He is with you, you mustn’t bully her. She has been working very hard for the studio these days, running around all day and not even eating well. Look, her chest has even shrunk a size; it’s really heartbreaking.”

As soon as Chen Qiao said this, Xia He’s pretty face heated up:

”Grandma Chen, you’re so annoying! Your chest is the one that shrunk!”

Chen Qiao chuckled after hearing this:

”Hehe, no matter how much my chest shrinks, it’s still bigger than yours, tee-hee!”

Xia He was so angry she was grinding her teeth, but she couldn’t refute it.

After all, hers really were bigger than her own. It was so infuriating!

Jiang Hao listened to the two teasing each other and smiled, saying:

”Sister Qiao, don’t worry, I will definitely cherish Older Female Cousin. That’s why I’m planning to take her to buy a car now, so it’ll be more convenient for her to commute and such.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Qiao said with a surprised expression:

”Oh my, Boss Jiang, you’re really going to buy Xiao He a car? You’re so generous, it makes my Mi Mi ache with envy...”

As soon as Chen Qiao said this, Jiang Hao, who was drinking water, almost spit it out.

”What the hell, your ’Mi Mi’ aches? Is it because your undergarment size is too small and it’s chafing? Do you want me to buy you a larger size...”
