Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 673: Ridiculous Post

When Carmen suggested having OneManMedia do a live stream, she wanted to first boost the guildʼs dwindling morale. Secondly, she wanted the public to notice the presence of another boss above their Guild Leader.

By doing so, she could essentially warn off any ulterior motives who still wanted to plot against them to think twice.

Of course, she wasnʼt doing it without thinking of Eclipse Novaʼs position, but with the current situation.

The opponents were already streaming the event, so unless Eclipse Nova didnʼt have any intention of showing himself, what was the point of him personally coming to Star Falls City which he had neglected since day one?

”Hmm, live streaming huh.” Xu Feng pondered for a moment and decided it was best to display an overwhelming strength once.

The Branch 4 of his Origin Cleric skill had an insanely high cooldown duration. That was the only downside of having such an overpowered skill. It was a method to ensure that he couldnʼt abuse the skills constantly and could be considered a ”nerf” in gaming terms.

Nevertheless, the cooldown duration could be reduced further as he leveled up and enhanced the skill itself. However, that was for the near future.

”Very well, you can have OneManMedia prepare himself for the broadcast. I believe itʼs time to let these people know why they shouldnʼt mess with the guild that I tasked my protege with.” Xu Feng declared, completely immersing his role as a supposedly competent senior.

”You will make a move?” Astonished, Carmen surely didnʼt anticipate Eclipse Nova to be capable of stopping the current siege alone.

Based on reports she had received, she was certain that the enemies this time were extremely prepared. Having learned the lesson from Lethal Corp, it appeared that the enemies had gone all out to recruit numerous NPCs.

With that being said, the NPCs would be the most problematic part to resolve as opposed to the players.

Had it been just players alone, then Carmen could at least unleash her aggressiveness to frighten the remaining players from proceeding. However, NPCs were different and they would do whatever they could to complete the job they were hired for.

”Mhm, I shall make a move myself. Consider it a repayment for my absences at Star Falls City.” Xu Feng nodded and confirmed that he wished to act alone.

Sometime later, the Vanguard Guild made an announcement to the sullen mood of the remaining members.

”Hey Blade, our guild finally decided to make a move!” Skyfire Mist exclaimed when he was busy browsing through the guild post, hoping for something to be posted.

”Really?” Lightning Bladeʼs eyes widened as he hurriedly opened the guild post and wondered where he would be deployed.

Ever since his damnable cousin had caused him to be humiliated, his status and rank in the guild were ruined. Thus, to regain his lost status and rank, the only way to do so was to gain a ton of contribution in this battle.

”Hmph, I cut off any relationship with that cousin of mine, so I need to kill at least 500 enemies.” He continued but came to a pause once he started reading the post.

His face looked no different than a dazed dork who had just been shocked by the most unexpected news ever. y Virtual Library Empire

Aside from him, there were many other members who wanted to use this as an opportunity to rise in rank and turned dumbfounded after reading the post.

”Huh? We are on cleaning duty?”

”What cleaning duty? This is more like scavenging duty!”

”Did our guildʼs higher-ups turn dumb in the process? How were we supposed to loot the enemies if we arenʼt even allowed to charge forward?”

Many people became confused by the ordeal, and couldnʼt comprehend the decision.

However, their confusions were soon resolved after another post was made.

[Listen up, Vanguard Guild members. To those of you who remained in the guild despite the grim situation, the higher-ups have taken notice of your loyalty. Therefore, everyone who is present will receive 1000 Guild Merit Points and 20% of the overall loot we will gain. If youʼre doubtful, then please find any high vantage point in the city to spectate or open OneManMediaʼs stream.]

As soon as everyone finished reading the post, the majority of them rushed out of their buildings and searched for the highest vantage point to spectate.

Meanwhile, those who were late and couldnʼt have a spot ultimately decided to turn on OneManMediaʼs stream.

Simultaneously, the same post that was made in the guild also ended up in the Game Forum, with a huge announcement coming from OneManMedia.

Outskirts of Star Falls City

As MIST and other guilds were engaging in battle against the NPCs affiliated with Star Falls City, they became alerted by the announcement.

”Commander PotionHoarder, we have bad news. The Vanguard Guild finally made a move.” A player rushed forward and immediately reported the situation.

”What? 20% of the overall loot gain?” When PotionHoarder took a step back to browse the post, his eyes widened in shock and disbelief. It wasnʼt that he was impressed or frightened by them, but rather amused and even somewhat speechless.

”Ah, I think the Vanguard Guild is scared shitless and resorted to such a lowly tactic.” He scoffed coldly.

Without a doubt, PotionHoarder became positive that the Vanguard Guild was on their last straw. They were doing whatever they could think of up their ass in the hope to lessen the pressure and deceive the public.

Sure enough, besides PotionHoarder, the other participating guilds such as Runewatch, Riverbane, and Veilborn, all sneered at the ridiculous post.

”Heh, I bet the Vanguard Guild is hoping that the monster waves would hinder us, but little did they know the monsters wonʼt attack us.” Watcher Skye from the Runewatch laughed hysterically.

”Aish, who can you blame but their ignorance? Theyʼve been so arrogant and think only they have privileged information to the Divine World.” Lanester from Riverbane chimed in.

”Alright, letʼs have our streamers highlight this post and put the nail in the coffin. This will be Vanguard Guildʼs final word before their exit in the Divine World.” A higher-ranked member, Kralos from Veilborn exclaimed.
