Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 594: Void Forged Trinket

”So did you like the staff?” Fiona asked after realizing Xu Feng seemed to be in a daze.

”Fantastic or great is an understatement to describe it.” Xu Feng responded with a baffled tone.

The mere fact that Convergence could be used up to level 70 was already an astonishing feat.

An average player might start to think that once they reach level 70, the weapon would be useless, but they wouldnʼt bother to read the description at all.

The item description listed it as upgradable, meaning once he was about to become level 70 or close to achieving it. He could seek for Fiona to upgrade and enhance Convergence further.

”Alright, Iʼve finally completed this annoying commission.” Fiona stretched her arms and yawned.

”Iʼm never agreeing to work on crafting a growth weapon.” She added, clearly exhausted from the work.

However, Xu Feng was perceptive enough to realize her change.

”You say that, but Iʼm sure the promotion to a Masterʼs level must have been amazing.” He teased her.

Nodding, Fiona was not one to shy away from her achievement.

”Indeed, it was nice, but because of that, I gained quite a bit of enlightenment. You lucked out because I went overboard with the crafting of Convergence. My father nearly cried in tears when he saw how much resources Iʼm using and wasting.” She explained coolly.

Hearing that, Xu Feng finally got the gist of the situation and why Thorinʼs hatred was directed at him.

Thanks to his commission. Thorin not only lost his daughterʼs attention but even all his hard-earned resources and possibly lots of money for something not worth it.

After all, the payment he made couldnʼt even cover 10% of the overall cost required to craft Convergence.

Just when Xu Feng was about to bid his leave, Fiona suddenly brought up a concern.

”Oh, by the way, if youʼre feeling grateful then mind investigating the outskirts of our village. Iʼve heard thereʼs been some unrelated people entering here through a loophole. The villageʼs been on edge since then.”

As soon as she finished her words, a system notification appeared.

ʼVoid-Forged Trinket?ʼ Startled, Xu Feng didnʼt expect Fiona to be that generous. A trinket was an accessory that could be attached to certain equipment and increased their ability or attributes.

And for once, his Convergence Staff could be equipped with a maximum of three accessories. In other words, Fiona was going to reward him generously if he were to succeed in the mission.

Such a reward couldnʼt be a coincidence.

”You really know how to tempt people to work for you, Fiona.” Xu Feng sighed and clicked on the [Yes] button. Only a fool would refuse such a mission, especially when it was a continuous chain mission from the initial insurgents.

He had thought the issue was resolved already back then, but it appeared there were still some remnants left over.

ʼNo wonder I didnʼt know there was any follow-up mission regarding the insurgent. The remnants escaped to Willowbrook Village, so only those lucky individuals were able to receive this mission.ʼ He once again realized the significance of discovering hidden locations first.

Although it was a very tedious effort, Xu Feng had to strive his best to discover a more prominent location to remain ahead of others.

To lose multiple days of progress due to being hospitalized was really starting to bite him on the back.

It was a good thing that Carmen was still capable of managing the Vanguard Guild while ensuring her level was still at the top. Otherwise, it wasnʼt a surprise for the Vanguard Guild to fall off from the top.

Though it pretty much did now that it was starting to lose the limelight and credibility, with nefarious people still daring to blast the guild for not honoring its words.

Carmenʼs method was somewhat effective, but not all anonymous users could be found, and it was also practically impossible to shut everyoneʼs mouth.

They got freedom of speech after all!

”Okay, start investigating, and donʼt bother me.” Fiona yawned and continued, ”My father has been quite displeased with the person who commissioned me. So itʼs best that you leave before he starts targeting you. Though he might change his thought process if he learned that person helped resolve the crisis in the village.”

After she said her piece, she headed downstairs, and Xu Feng mentally took note of her advice.

ʼWhat a nice hidden reward.ʼ He smiled, having understood that to get Thorinʼs approval, he must eradicate the unwelcome guests from outside.
