Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 552: Defense Upgrade

When recalling the power of those battle robots, even Xu Feng felt a sudden chill. Their destructive ability was not one to be joked with.

The only great part was that these battle robots wouldnʼt actually take command from their protectors.

They would only protect when danger arises, otherwise, they would just remain dormant.

Just imagining a player gathering these battle robots to start a war— it would have become extremely chaotic.

What made these battle robots scary was the fact that it had the ability to turn invisible, but mentioning it now was pointless. They didnʼt start appearing until the major update at around the sixth or seventh.

ʼWho knows where they come from.ʼ Xu Feng shrugged and began taking pictures of the security and began adding his input on how to improve and increase the defense.

Time quickly went by, and there was already a long list of the possible modifications and improvements listed.

As Xu Feng glanced at the time on his smartwatch, he realized it should be time for him to log in to the Divine World.

”She should be done with her appearance by now, right.” He murmured softly, walking toward the empty gaming capsule.

As the gaming capsule opened up, Xu Feng first inspected everything to ensure no foul play. Thankfully, it didnʼt seem like Allison was a professional in things related to the capsule.

Having checked everything was well, Xu Feng made sure to turn on the option for the capsule to wipe out everything on the inside once he logged out. It was better to be safe than sorry.

Sometime later, Xu Feng returned to the Divine World.

”Feels just like home.” Refreshed, Xu Feng hurriedly glanced at the Game Forum to check on the latest news.

Without any surprises, the forum exploded with the Vanguard Guildʼs deed, followed by the Lethal Corp announcement.

”Hoh, the Lethal Corp is gutsy.” Amused, Xu Feng wasnʼt surprised that the Lethal Corp started claiming Brian was merely a low commander who had taken a small part of their combat force to commit a siege against the Vanguard Guild.

That was the consequences of a failure. Not only did Brian get reprimanded fiercely by the Lethal Corp, but he must also come forward and publicly apologize.

He would take the blame and probably get demoted despite merely following orders from the higher-ups, who clearly couldnʼt be touched because of their status or power.

Aside from scolding Brian, they also downplayed the Vanguard Guildʼs achievement, stating that they only defeated a ”small” part of their force.

”I just want to see how long you can be arrogant for, Lethal Corp.” Xu Feng closed the Game Forum, uninterested in the excuses that Lethal Finance used.

People arenʼt dumb or ignorant to blindly believe their claim. Otherwise, the Lethal Finance stock wouldnʼt be on a downward spiral, barely surviving. Continue your saga on My Virtual Library Empire

Shortly after catching up with the news, Xu Feng promptly activated the Mirage Pendant, effectively changing his appearance and details. As he changed, even his status screen displayed a fake version.

Looking at the altered status screen, Xu Feng was satisfied with the result. Now, even if others had learned identifying skills and tried to scan him, they would only see that fake detail.

Having completely changed everything, Xu Feng also made sure to switch his persona. The Lin Feng in the eyes of others were mysterious, and always exuding a dominating yet calm aura.

However, the Cool Wind was more similar to Zhao Kaiʼs behavior: carefree and laidback.

When creating different personas, the most important aspect was to ensure each of them behaved distinctively from others, preventing others from ever having thought of them being the same person.

And with his casual smile and laid back expression, Xu Feng promptly exited his hotel room and confidently walked down to the hotel lobby.

As soon as he came down, almost no one paid attention to him.

Time quickly went by, and Xu Feng had to wait in a queue to use the Teleport Platform, which was currently overloaded. Usually, he could easily bypass the queue and use the teleport right away because of his status, but to remain lowkey, he had to wait like the average player.

However, after waiting for a few minutes and the lines barely moved, Xu Feng became annoyed.

ʼAh, screw this lowkey crap!ʼ He quickly threw away that mindset and strode ahead, instantly catching the NPC guardsʼ attention.

”Halt! You must wait in line to use the Teleport Platform!” One of the NPC guards warned sternly. It was their protocol to first warn before making any actual move.

Nodding, Xu Feng retrieved a few silver coins and said, ”Sorry, but Iʼm in a rush.”

Unfazed, the guard disdained to even accept the silver coins. After all, they had been spoiled thoroughly by Xu Fengʼs conduct in handing gold coins like candies.

”This is your last warning. Step back into the queue or youʼll be detained for public disorder and refusal to comply with the laws of Star Falls City.”

”Ah, but my Guild Leader said you know him well.” Feigning a surprised expression, Xu Feng then equipped an emblem on his chest.

Sure enough, the guardʼs cold expression quickly underwent some change after spotting the emblem.

”Youʼre from the Vanguard Guild?” The guard asked cautiously, his tone milder. Without a doubt, the Vanguard Guild had already begun to hold a tremendous influence even within the NPCʼs hearts.

Who didnʼt know that the boom of their Star Falls City was heavily related to Lin Feng of the Vanguard Guild? It was even rumored that Lin Feng had a good relationship with not just the Adventure Guild, but even the City Hall.

”Mhmm, Iʼm under order by Guild Leader Lin Feng to head somewhere else.” Xu Feng nodded and continued, ”If you doubt me, then should I call my Guild Leader and have him vouch for me?”

Almost immediately, the guard shook his head and smiled politely at him.

”Thereʼs no need to trouble Baron Lin Feng.” The guard said and signaled for his comrade to pave the way for him.
