191: Chapter 191 Brother Tiantian is ArrestedThe next day, Brother Tian Tian was lying on the luxurious king-sized bed in the presidential suite, enjoying the opulent services of the top-tier hotel. He had just finished a night of revelry, and his tired body gradually relaxed on the soft mattress. The doorbell suddenly rang, but he was too lazy to answer, assuming it was hotel staff.

”Ding-dong—ding-dong—” The doorbell rang incessantly, its sound particularly jarring in the quiet room. Brother Tian Tian frowned, cursing under his breath, but still made no move to get up.

A few minutes later, the door was violently pushed open, and several uniformed police officers filed in, their expressions serious. Brother Tian Tian opened his drowsy eyes, saw the scene before him, and instantly froze, his previously relaxed body stiffening.

”Hu Yitian, according to Arrest Warrant No. 110 from the F City Procuratorate, you are hereby arrested for suspected kidnapping.” One of the police officers stepped forward, his tone cold and stern, holding a document in his hand.

Before Brother Tian Tian could react, another police officer swiftly stepped forward and skillfully snapped cold handcuffs onto his wrists. The metallic touch instantly sobered him, and an indescribable fear welled up in his heart.

”This... how is this possible? You’ve got the wrong person!” Brother Tian Tian stammered in defense, but his voice betrayed an unconcealable panic.

The police officers remained expressionless. One of them responded coldly, ”We will clarify whether we have the wrong person. For now, please cooperate with our work.”

”And you, come with us.” The police officer’s gaze pierced into the bathroom, falling coldly on the woman wrapped in a bathrobe, his tone leaving no room for doubt. The officer had already strode forward, unceremoniously seizing her wrist.

Brother Tian Tian sat in the back of the police car, his eyes, sharp as knives, staring through the bars at Lin Chao outside the car. The anger in his heart erupted like a volcano; he finally understood that this was all a meticulously planned trap. Lin Chao had not only cleverly put him in the police car but also swallowed up the large sum of hard-earned money he had accumulated.

”Lin Chao, you bastard, you tricked me!” Brother Tian Tian’s voice almost tore his throat, his hands gripping the iron bars tightly, veins bulging, his eyes flashing with resentment and unwillingness.

Lin Chao stood outside the car, not a ripple on his face, looking coldly at Brother Tian Tian, a mocking arc curving at the corner of his mouth: ”Brother Tian Tian, this is called reaping what you sow. Did you think money would fall from the sky? In this world, this is the consequence of greed.”

The police officer next to them impatiently tapped on the car window and said coldly, ”Behave yourself.”

Ultimately, Brother Tian Tian was officially detained in the F City Detention Center for kidnapping. Zhang Wei then took Lin Chao back to T City, their goal being to rescue the imprisoned Tang Yi.

T City

Lin Chao still maintained his air of a young master, driving the cool sports car at breakneck speed through the grand entrance of the Tianlongren Entertainment Club. As soon as the club manager saw Lin Chao get out of the car, he immediately greeted him with a beaming smile.

Lin Chao took out a transfer agreement from the car and handed it to the manager, saying nonchalantly, ”Brother Tian Tian recently borrowed a large sum of money from me and mortgaged this club to me.” The manager took the agreement and carefully examined the signature on it; indeed, it was Brother Tian Tian’s familiar handwriting.

Although he had doubts, he quickly dialed Brother Tian Tian’s number. On the other end of the phone, Brother Tian Tian’s voice sounded somewhat urgent: ”I’m currently in F City handling some important matters. I’ve already mortgaged this club to Lin Chao; you can discuss everything with him.”

The manager hung up the phone, his expression instantly becoming respectful, and he bowed, changing his address, ”Boss Lin, welcome, welcome!”

Lin Chao smiled slightly, looked around, and said, ”Show me around. I heard you’re holding someone captive?”

The manager accompanied him, cautiously replying, ”Yes, Boss Lin. This person previously offended Brother Tian Tian without knowing his place and has been locked up for several days. He was still clamoring to see Brother Tian Tian yesterday, but Brother Tian Tian instructed before he left to deal with it upon his return, so he’s been kept here.”

Lin Chao frowned slightly and said firmly, ”I’m the boss here now. No matter what happened before, this isn’t some chaotic place. Go and release him quickly.”

The manager looked troubled, hesitating to move. Seeing this, Lin Chao leaned close to the manager’s ear and whispered, ”Brother Tian Tian took a large sum of money from me and actually ran away. Brother Shuang already knows and is furious.”

Upon hearing this, the manager’s face instantly turned pale, and he secretly rejoiced that he hadn’t delayed further. He nodded quickly, saying urgently, ”I’ll go immediately, I’ll release the person downstairs right away!”

With that, he turned and hurried towards the basement, fearing that a moment’s delay would cause greater trouble. Lin Chao stood still, his gaze deep, seemingly contemplating his next plan.

In the basement, Tang Yi was utterly drained of spirit, looking listless. A foul odor emanated from him. Although he still received three meals a day, for this former rich second generation, eating only a bowl of bland vegetable rice at each meal was an immense torture. His mouth was stuffed with thick cloth strips, and his hands and feet were tightly bound with rough ropes, only to be temporarily unbound at mealtimes. At this moment, his heart was filled with regret for his impulsive actions.

So many days had passed, and Tang Yi was worried about Zhang Wei’s safety, but he received no news. He felt as if he had been abandoned by the whole world, with no one to turn to. His father must have noticed his disappearance but was powerless to help. Alas, fate truly plays tricks on people.

Under the dim light, Tang Yi’s senses seemed to become more acute, able to catch even subtle sounds.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, and a young man with yellow hair, who usually brought him food, walked in, holding a key. He went straight to Tang Yi and began to untie the ropes.

”You’re lucky, kid, you can leave,” the Yellow-Haired Young Man said.

”I... I can really leave?” Tang Yi’s voice trembled with a hint of disbelief. Having not walked for several days, his legs were numb. When he struggled to stand, his body swayed, and he nearly fell.

”Hurry up, don’t dawdle. Do you want to stay locked up here?” the Yellow-Haired Young Man urged impatiently.

Tang Yi felt a surge of excitement. Disregarding the discomfort in his hands and feet, he almost scrambled to get out of this dreadful place immediately.

The Yellow-Haired Young Man led Tang Yi through the dim corridor to the back door of the club.

Tang Yi pushed open the door, and the fresh air that greeted him made him take a deep breath. The evening sky was tinged with a faint orange-red, and under the bright streetlights, the roar of cars rose and fell, as if welcoming his newfound freedom.

He saw a figure standing not far away.
