The World's Richest Man: Start with the Daily Intelligence System

168: Chapter 168 Capturing Terrorists”Zhang Wei, get in the car,” Wang Qiang opened the car door and gestured for Zhang Wei to board.

The car door opened slightly, revealing the astonishing facilities inside: sturdy bulletproof glass, thick armor plating, and advanced communication equipment—everything was available. Every detail prominently displayed its extremely high level of protection. Zhang Wei sat inside; the soft seats and precise equipment gave him a sense of comfort, but more so, an unprecedented feeling of security.

Along the way, Zhang Wei and Wang Qiang chatted about some light topics, and the atmosphere gradually eased. Although neither spoke much, their conversation revealed the rigor and reliability of soldiers.

”Brother Wang, your daily training must be very tough, right?” Zhang Wei asked.

”We’re used to it. Protecting the safety of the people is our duty,” Wang Qiang smiled faintly.

Zhang Wei nodded, filled with respect for these silently dedicated soldiers in his heart.

In the office, Zuo Hemei was sitting at her desk, flipping through documents.

Her gaze sharpened slightly as she saw Zhang Wei slowly walk into the room, closely followed by two bodyguards. These two bodyguards were burly, with well-defined muscle contours, faces as cold as frost, and eyes as sharp as eagles. Judging by their upright, pine-like standing posture, steady and powerful strides, and the imposing majesty radiating from them, they were clearly special forces soldiers who had undergone rigorous training, perhaps even still serving in the military.

”You kid, you even have bodyguards when you go out now. Tell me, what’s going on this time?” Zuo Hemei’s eyes held a hint of teasing.

Zhang Wei let out a wry smile. ”This is a long story. This time, I’m risking my life and shedding blood for the country; I’ve risked everything.”

When Zuo Hemei heard Zhang Wei say that, a flicker of curiosity crossed her eyes. ”Oh? Did you get into trouble, kid? I see the two at the door are military personnel, right?”

”Heh heh heh, Captain Zuo, you noticed,” Zhang Wei praised Zuo Hemei’s sharp eyesight, gave her a thumbs-up, and pointed to his waist. ”The kind who carry sidearms, 24-hour protection.”

Zuo Hemei raised an eyebrow. ”It seems the trouble you’re in is not small. Tell me about it, kid.”

Zhang Wei waved his hand. ”Um, Captain Zuo, we rushed over in the middle of the day and haven’t had lunch yet. Hehe.”

”Let’s go. Call those two big brothers at the door,” Zuo Hemei smiled and led Zhang Wei and his entourage toward the Criminal Investigation Brigade’s cafeteria.

In the cafeteria, the air was filled with fragrance. A few people sat together, and the simple meal greatly increased their appetite. While eating, Zhang Wei briefly recounted the recent events, including the pursuit by the Middle East terrorist organization.

”The Sky Eye organization? That’s big trouble,” Zuo Hemei frowned, clearly not unfamiliar with the name.

”Yes, I’m in a predicament now,” Zhang Wei sighed, though his heart remained calm.

”But, looking at you, you don’t seem too worried?” Zuo Hemei keenly perceived Zhang Wei’s mood.

”Worrying is useless. We’ll deal with whatever comes our way,” Zhang Wei smiled lightly.

”Haha, you have a good mindset,” Zuo Hemei laughed and shook her head, then shifted the topic. ”By the way, you just said two leaders of the Sky Eye organization infiltrated the country?”

Zhang Wei nodded while gnawing on a pork knuckle. ”Yes, Captain Zuo. I am in extreme danger now; they are all coming for me.”

”Since you came to see me today, you must have already planned what you intend to do next, right?” Zuo Hemei didn’t buy Zhang Wei’s act.

”Mmm, mmm, mmm, Captain Zuo, I already have a lead on the specific movements of the two leaders,” Zhang Wei said shrewdly.

”The Sky Eye organization is a big problem; you certainly need two bodyguards,” Zuo Hemei agreed, nodding, then patted Zhang Wei’s shoulder. ”I will report this to my superiors. You go home and wait for news.”

”Thanks, Captain Zuo,” Zhang Wei smiled gratefully.

After finishing their meal, the group returned to Zuo Hemei’s office and chatted for a while longer. Zhang Wei then took Captain Wang and the others back.

A few days later, in a coastal city in China, two dark figures quietly infiltrated the cold seawater. The sea breeze was piercing, and the water was icy, but the two seemed completely unaware, merely swimming forward silently.

”There should be a light on this shore,” a man in black, speaking broken Chinese, fumbled his way through the darkness, his voice carrying a hint of unease.

”Go that way,” the other man in black responded, his voice deep and firm.

”Do you know which way we’re going?” The former sounded somewhat doubtful.

”Idiot, of course I know. According to the intelligence, we swim toward the shore with the light; our contacts are waiting there,” the latter explained impatiently.

”But I feel like we passed that rock before, Ali,” the former’s voice was full of confusion.

”Shut up, we’re almost there. Swim,” Ali coldly interrupted his questioning, his tone brooking no argument.

In the darkness, the two figures struggled forward in the water, like two black fish, silently approaching the shore.

After a long time, the two men in black finally crawled onto the shore and collapsed onto the sand, exhausted. Seawater dripped from their clothes, making slight dripping sounds.

”We finally made it,” Ali gasped for breath and looked up toward the lights not far away.

”Go that way,” he stood up and pointed in the direction of the lights.

The two cautiously walked toward the lights, secretly anticipating the rendezvous.

However, just as they were less than ten meters from the light, a cold shout suddenly rang out: ”Stop! Hands up!”

The lights instantly blazed bright, the dazzling glare forcing the two to raise their hands, their eyes unable to open.

”Wh-what’s going on?” The former’s voice was filled with terror.

”We... we’re surrounded!” The latter also realized the seriousness of the situation.

The two were stunned. A group of National Security personnel in black uniforms had suddenly appeared around them, their firearms glinting coldly under the light.

”Who are you? Why did you sneak into our country late at night?” a National Security officer asked coldly.

”I... we were swimming...” Ali tried to argue, but his words sounded weak.

”Don’t waste time, take them away!” The National Security officer gave the order without hesitation.

The two were quickly subdued, handcuffed, and escorted into vehicles parked nearby.

Not long after, in Shenghai City, Zhang Wei received a call from Chen Dong.

”Zhang Wei, long time no see. We just captured two Middle Eastern men who swam ashore near the coast.

After comparing intelligence with the Counter-Terrorism Alliance, we confirmed these two are Ali and Al from the Sky Eye organization. The men have been apprehended.

The National Security will conduct detailed interrogations next. Soon the Sky Eye organization will know that these two have been caught.”

Zhang Wei breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile: ”That’s wonderful. These heinous terrorists must be interrogated severely to let them know the might of socialism. Thank you, Staff Officer Chen.”
