Chapter 273: Chapter 273: Blood Moon Calamity

Without a doubt, Hoolay absolutely couldn’t beat these people.

A few seconds later, Hoolay knelt on the ground in humiliation, gasping for breath. He looked at the several people in front of him, a glint of death-defying determination flashing in his eyes!

Even if he died, he had to live up to his identity as a warlord!

He absolutely couldn’t live on in cowardice like before!

With that thought, Hoolay snorted coldly and said: ”Xianzhou people, I know with my power I can’t defeat you all, but since you won’t give me a path to death, I’ll just have to find one myself!”

With that, his sharp right claw slashed viciously toward his own chest, roaring: ”Burn it all— this body!”

Pfft—!

A blood-red ”moon” emanating a bewitching glow was clawed out from his chest. ”I’ll use my life to make the entire Luofu Xianzhou bury me with it!”

”Offer up the heart!”

”Feel regret, Xianzhou Generals!”

”I’ll sow the Borisin’s seed in this world—!”

”Ahahahaha, hahahahaha—!”

Amid a burst of mad laughter, Hoolay’s body gradually dissolved into drifting light particles and completely vanished.

And that blood-red moon he’d dug out began to emanate an eerie aura nonstop. Anyone illuminated by that light would involuntarily feel a surge of violence in their heart, a faint urge to roar building up.

—”Hey, you stepped on my foot—looking for trouble? Come at me!”

—”Whoa, did you just sneak a photo of me? Hand over the phone!”

—”Tofu pudding has to be savory! Who agrees, who opposes?”

—”No need for more words—let’s settle this with a deathmatch!”

—”I take the moonlight as my sword! Ahahaha—! Battle, exhilarating!”

”...”

Under the blood moon’s influence, the Skysplitter quickly descended into chaos. Fights broke out everywhere over the pettiest of trivial matters. If this continued, ruining the Ceremony of the Duel of Champions would be the least of it—if someone died, that would be a big problem.

On Stelle’s side.

Without a doubt, Stelle under the blood moon’s illumination was inevitably affected as well. Even someone as even-tempered as her felt a breath stuck in her chest, extremely uncomfortable.

”Tch, this is really irritating...”

At that moment, March 7th beside her suddenly lowered her head and started muttering to herself: ”Stelle, we’ve known each other so long—why can’t our relationship ever progress further?”

Stelle: ???

”March... wh-what are you trying to do?”

March 7th grabbed Stelle’s collar in one go: ”Exactly.”

Stelle: ???

”Wait, you’re not in your right mind right now!”

”Of course—I’m super pissed right now. Stelle, bear with me a bit...”

At this time, Sunday, who was also affected, sidled over and said: ”No, Miss Stelle is mine—”

Duang!

Sunday collapsed powerlessly to the ground, one finger stretching unwillingly forward: X__X

Before he lost consciousness, he could still hear Stelle’s delicate cry for help: ”Help— mmph mmph mmph...”

On the other side.

Jing Yuan threw an arm around Dan Heng’s neck and said: ”Dan Heng, I feel like we still need to talk about that time you violated my right of publicity. I don’t want three, I want seven—no, I want it all.”

Dan Heng: ”Then tomorrow’s front-page headline in the Luofu Morning Post should be ’The Unspoken Affairs Between the Former General and the Stellaron Hunter.’ Jing Yuan, you probably don’t want to go down in disgrace alongside Blade, right?”

Jing Yuan: ”Then tomorrow’s front-page in the Luofu Evening Post should be ’The Unspoken Affairs Between the Former Dragon Lord and the Stellaron Hunter.’ Dan Heng, you probably don’t want to go down in disgrace alongside Blade, right?”

Dan Heng raised an eyebrow: ”If you dare write it, I’ll dare write it. After all, your comics with Blade are already out—higher IP influence.”

Jing Yuan snorted coldly: ”If you dare write it, I’ll dare write it. After all, the story between you and Yingxing... or rather Blade, actually happened for real. I don’t even need to make anything up!”

Dan Heng: ”What? You wanna compete with me? In my next Chapter, I’ll push through review just to make you and Blade a happily-ever-after couple for a hundred years!”

Jing Yuan pulled out a photo of Dan Heng and Blade soaking in a hot spring together. ”Wanna compete with me? You’re still green. Believe it or not, in one system hour, I’ll let all of Luofu know about the hehehe between the Former Dragon Lord and the Stellaron Hunter?”

Dan Heng’s expression changed: ”That’s a moment of news journalism charm! I’m suing you for defamation.”

”Then you’ll have to get Blade over here to verify it.”

Dan Heng pulled out his phone, looking sinister: ”Then I won’t hold back either. Actually, the copyright fee I gave you that day wasn’t even a ten-thousandth of my income. My work has promotion backing from Penacony’s former CEO—as long as I make one call now, tomorrow the whole galaxy will know about your CP pairing with Blade!”

”Then I’ll just use this hype to reveal everything...”

”...”

On a spaceship somewhere in the vast galaxy, Blade suddenly let out several consecutive sneezes out of nowhere. He frowned slightly and turned his head: ”Silver Wolf, turn up the AC! What’s a young person like you doing blasting the aircon all day? Keep this up and your body’s done for—when you’re old, you’ll be full of ailments.”

”And when you bring friends over to hang out, can you not always trash the room? This isn’t like the Astral Express with free housekeeping. You never clean up, and in the end I have to do it. This is our own home—everyone has to learn to take care of it.”

”Hey, are you listening to me? Tch, can you not just throw socks around? Look at you all, littering the floor again... Hey! How’d clothes end up on the floor too?”

”Hm? Why are there pants? The AC’s at sixteen degrees now? You not cold?”

”Open the door a sec! Your clothes fell outside! If you don’t open up, I’ll just stand here waiting for you.”

”...”

On the other side.

Protected by the power of an Emanator, Qingque, Huaiyan, and Feixiao remained clear-headed. They looked at the increasingly chaotic scene below, their expressions grave.

If it were just a simple fight, the three of them could kick Hoolay around like a soccer ball, but the current situation couldn’t be resolved with brute force alone. To prevent things from worsening, they needed to address the root of all these problems.

—That blood-colored full moon.

Simply shattering the thing was definitely unrealistic—who could guarantee the blood moon’s influence wouldn’t spread even further because of it? The most reliable method was to seal it directly.

”Leave it to me.”

After a brief moment of thought, Feixiao stepped forward. The shadow of the flying yellow beast coiled behind her, her voice firm: ”Borisins and Foxians are kin by blood. Handling this thing might be best left to me. You two, if something happens to me, please take care of my affairs.”

Qingque and Huaiyan both looked serious. ”You have confidence?”

”I don’t know, but I feel like I have to try.”

With that, Feixiao charged toward that blood moon. Under everyone’s gazes, she merged as one with the flying yellow behind her, ultimately swallowing down that source of all the strife—the blood moon—in one gulp!

And then, Feixiao felt darkness before her eyes and lost consciousness.
