Chapter 253: Chapter 253: It Is an Unsurpassable Peak Among the Borisin

Silence! Prolonged silence!

After this Borisin that had suddenly reverted to its wild nature howled at the sky for about three seconds, for some reason, one of the passersby screamed first, stirring up a thousand waves with a single stone, causing the other passersby to start screaming as well:

”Aaah! This is bad—the Borisin is speaking human language!”

”Aaah! This is bad—whose Borisin is this? Can’t you keep it leashed properly?”

”Firefighters? Where are the firefighters? That Hachi person climbed so high—figure out a way to rescue it!”

”...”

”Ha!”

Seeing the street below in utter chaos, this round-headed Borisin slightly opened its mouth, letting out a low growl from its throat that carried a dangerous undertone. Clearly, it harbored deep hatred toward these Xianzhou people below.

It was a self-awakened Borisin. Its bloodline told it: The Borisin are absolutely not pets for humans to gawk at and toy with!

If anyone treated it like an ordinary cat or dog, it would use its sharp claws to teach the world that the dignity of a king cannot be offended!

The round-headed Borisin hunched its body, its gaze sharp, occasionally letting out a low growl that stimulated the crowd below.

— ”Everyone, stay calm! The Cloud Knights are here! We’ll handle this matter properly!”

Just as the street descended into complete chaos, several Cloud Knights who had rushed over upon hearing the news hurriedly shouted to control the scene. Seeing the Cloud Knights arrive, the passersby’s moods calmed somewhat for the time being, reducing the spread of the chaos.

”Ha...”

The source Borisin looked toward the arriving Cloud Knights. Although it was only a wolf, the ferocity in its eyes could not hide its dragon-like aura.

”Whose Borisin is this?! Where’s its owner?” The arriving Cloud Knight captain asked loudly.

”...”

No one responded.

Cloud Knight captain: ”I’ll ask again—who does this Borisin belong to?!”

”...”

Still no one responded.

— ”Report! It’s his!”

Just as the Cloud Knight captain felt a wave of exhaustion, a crisp voice suddenly rang out. Stelle, with a serious expression, stretched out her hand and pointed at a head-lowered vendor in the crowd. ”It’s his! I just saw it—the Borisin escaped from his hands!”

Everyone turned to look at that vendor. The vendor shrank his neck and said in a small voice: ”Th-this Borisin has nothing to do with me. I just gave it something to eat and happened to give it a place to stay. It’s actually a stray Borisin.”

The Cloud Knight captain took two steps forward: ”I’m asking you, what’s the deal with that Borisin? Didn’t it undergo desensitization training? And did you give it the mad wolf vaccine?”

The vendor nodded repeatedly: ”Yes, yes... It did the desensitization training, but for some reason, this Borisin is especially cunning. It even knew to play weak and paralyze me.”

Cloud Knight captain: ”Tell me the detailed information on this Borisin so we can come up with a response plan.”

Vendor: ”Alright... This Borisin is named Mok Tok. It got the mad wolf vaccine a month ago and currently doesn’t carry wolf toxin. Its claws were trimmed just last week, so it shouldn’t have destructive capabilities.”

The Cloud Knight captain nodded, then tore off a fine: ”For failing to control your pet in a public area, fine of one thousand. Remember to go pay it at the Diheng Division yourself later.”

The vendor reluctantly took the fine, inwardly cursing his bad luck.

The Cloud Knight captain waved his hand at the other Cloud Knights. They immediately understood, some responsible for fetching ladders, others for getting chains. In no time at all, they had surrounded Mok Tok in the center, ready to act at any moment.

The Cloud Knight captain personally held the chain and stepped onto the ladder approaching Mok Tok. His movements were very light. Because of the Wardance Ceremony, he had recently handled quite a few Borisin-related incidents, so he assumed this one would go smoothly as well...

”Ha!!”

Mok Tok suddenly let out a low growl and swatted a claw at the ladder, sending the Cloud Knight captain flying along with the ladder!

”Ah! Captain!”

The Cloud Knights all rushed over, checking the captain’s injuries.

”I’m fine!” The captain climbed up from the ground himself, his gaze fixed deadly on Mok Tok. ”This Borisin has very strong aggression. We must control it as quickly as possible; otherwise, we can’t ensure the safety of the surrounding passersby!”

”First, evacuate the crowd. Everyone else, follow me to surround this Borisin. We absolutely cannot let it escape!”

”Yes!”

”...”

After the lesson from Mok Tok’s earlier claw swipe, the Cloud Knights didn’t dare approach it rashly. Both sides were at a temporary stalemate, making the atmosphere incredibly tense.

”You all stand down. This place—leave it to me.”

Just as the Cloud Knights were at a loss, a low and youthful voice suddenly sounded from behind them. The Cloud Knights turned toward the voice and saw that at some point, a petite figure had appeared behind them. On her back was a greatsword as long as a ruler, giving her an air of mystery.

”You... who are you?” The Cloud Knight captain was stunned for a moment before asking.

The girl slightly raised her head, allowing the Cloud Knight captain to see her youthful face clearly: It was a doll-like little face, but with a gloomy expression. Her bangs covered one eye, making her resemble a certain muttering swordsman.

Hearing the Cloud Knight captain’s words, the girl didn’t answer directly. Instead, she flatly removed the greatsword from her back and said: ”You don’t know me—that’s a good thing for you.”

Cloud Knight captain: ?

The girl walked into the Cloud Knights’ encirclement, her gaze fixed on Mok Tok atop the building. Suddenly, the ground tiles beneath her feet cracked with an overburdened ”crack” sound. In the next second, the girl’s figure abruptly appeared in front of Mok Tok!

Everything happened in milliseconds!

”Ha!!”

Though the girl’s speed was extremely fast, a Borisin’s reaction speed was seven times that of an ordinary person, so Mok Tok could clearly see how the girl had arrived before it. It instinctively raised its claw, roaring from its throat.

Clang!

The claw and greatsword collided, producing a crisp metallic clash. Both parties retreated a bit, their eyes bursting with a desire for victory in battle.

”Old iron... is coming!”

The girl’s small hand stroked the blade of the greatsword as she charged forward again!

”Ha!!!”

Mok Tok let out a roar, raising its forelimbs and swiping down with both claws at once!

Ding!

This time, the girl gained the upper hand in the clash of power. Mok Tok’s body flew backward, shattering the ground tiles and scraping a gouge into the surface.

”Ha!”

Mok Tok was furious. Born as a Borisin, it had never suffered such a humiliating defeat!

Even in the vendor’s breeding grounds, it was the absolute dominant existence! Any Borisin facing its ferocity had to yield three points!

Even the human raising it had to treat it with utmost respect!

Bearing the glory of the Borisin race, how could it just fall like this?!

”Ha!!!”

Just as Mok Tok was still panting to recover and attempting to resist, the girl’s figure descended from the sky. Her bare jade foot ruthlessly stomped on the back of Mok Tok’s head, embedding its entire skull deep into the ground.

The girl ”hmph”ed, her gaze icy as she said: ”Borisin, the dream of panting—it’s time to wake up!”
