Nan Sheng wanted to flee, but his legs were so feeble that he could not move a step.

He could only bitterly beg. “This gentleman… I know my mistake. I want to apologize to you, so I am begging you, please have mercy on me. I’m Nan Sheng of the South City’s Nan Family. I can give you money, any amount you ask for…”

“South City’s Nan family?” Li Lei grinned.

“Yes, yes, yes.” Nan Sheng thought that his life was saved. The other party would definitely care about avoiding conflict with the Nan Family due to their status and let him off easily.

However, he did not expect that Li Lei would only lightly lift his head and softly reply. “Perished.”

Not far away, a noise was heard from one of the people surrounded by bodyguards who were holding guns.

P… perished?

There was a turbulent feeling in Nan Sheng’s heart. What did he mean by “perished”? Could it be that he killed his entire family? He was terrified and immediately fell to his knees in front of Li Lei. “Please don’t… please don’t kill my entire family! Please don’t kill me. I’m begging you! I’m begging you!”

Li Lei stared at him icily.

Xia Ling also felt uneasy. Li Lei did not really kill the entire Nan family, right? It was not worth it to kill people because of that situation. “Boss, don’t kill anyone.” She urged him.

Li Lei comforted her. “Who said I killed anyone? Since this bastard’s family is so rich, I only wanted to make them bankrupt to help you vent your anger. Without their money, they will also not be able to cause any more trouble.”

Xia Ling was reassured after hearing that.

Nan Sheng also let out a sigh of relief. Thank god , He thought. this scary man let my family live . However, he immediately became afraid. He thought about how Li Lei was able to command armed bodyguards to surround more than 200 people and was not the least bit afraid of causing a scene. What sort of unfathomable background did he have? What sort of punishment would he receive for trying to steal the woman of such a prominent figure?

Li Lei’s lips curled into a cruel smile. “Tried to mess around with Xiao Ling, huh? You can decide. Either you break five of your fingers yourself, or I will break ten of your fingers for you.”

Gasp!

Everyone drew in a breath. That man was literally the devil! He even announced his cruel decision in such a casual tone. Fingers were closely linked to the heart. Breaking one finger caused immense pain, and the pain of breaking five or ten fingers was unimaginable.

Nan Sheng was so petrified that his face turned pale white. “This gent… gentleman… You can’t do this…”

“Looks like you’re not willing to break them yourself.” As Li Lei spoke, he made a signal, and immediately, two large bodyguards walked up and tightly restrained Nan Sheng. “I will do it then.”

He walked in front of Nan Sheng and ignored his cries and pleas. He grabbed Nan Sheng’s hand and pressed one of his fingers hard.

“Ah!” Nan Sheng screamed. As his right index finger was broken, he convulsed in pain and wanted to roll on the ground. However, as he was being held tightly, he could only continue to endure the pain kneeling on the floor. Large beads of sweat trickled down his cheeks.

Li Lei broke his second finger, his third finger and…

Nan Sheng fainted.

Li Lei stopped and instructed his bodyguards. “Wake him up using cold water.”

The bodyguards abided by his orders and brought over a pail of water, which they splashed on Nan Sheng’s body. Nan Sheng slowly opened his eyes. Before he could react, a searing pain was felt from his fingers again. The snap of his bones could be heard. He screamed again before fainting.

Li Lei was unbothered by his reaction and asked someone to wake him again.

This was repeated for a few times until all ten of Nan Sheng’s fingers were broken.

Li Lei stood up, his entire body and hands covered in blood, and quietly glanced across the entire hall. The two hundred people in the hall were in tears, and there was a stench in the air. Many people were scared out of their wits.

He frowned and turned over to look at Xia Ling.

Xia Ling’s face was a little pale, and her white teeth were spontaneously biting her lip. He did not know what she was thinking about.

Li Lei took a step forward, wanting to be by her side. However, he considered the fact that he was covered in blood and stopped. “Xiao Ling,” he said. “I’ll get someone to send you out first.” The stench in the air was unbearable, and the surroundings were too bloody. He did not want her to continue tolerating that uncomfortable scene.

Xia Ling hesitated for a while before asking him, “How are you going to deal with them?” She was referring to the guests.

Everyone looked at Li Lei anxiously with a begging look in their eyes.

Li Lei said, “For those who participated in the kidnapping, break five fingers each. For those who assisted in restraining Xiao Ling…” His eyes slowly swept across the ugly faces in front of him. There was something detestable about people who looked pitiful; they only begged for his forgiveness now. If only they knew what was coming, they should not have bullied the woman he loved in the first place! He sneered and made a decision. “For those who assisted in restraining Xiao Ling, you can slap one another in the face and pluck a tooth out. After that, you can leave.”

Another round of begging and crying was heard.

Li Lei said, “Not willing? Then you have to sacrifice two teeth and ten of your fingers. If you’re still unwilling, four teeth and an additional toe.”

Everyone immediately stopped begging. Devil… That young man was one hundred percent a devil! Who exactly was he? How dare he be so arrogant in public?!

Unfortunately, no one dared to ask this question. Everyone was trying to suppress their sense of existence and was as silent as a winter cicada.

Li Lei called for people to protect Xia Ling as she left the hall.

However, Xia Ling was worried that after she had left, Li Lei would be even crueler towards them. Although those people were guilty, she was afraid that things would get out of hand. What if they could not handle the situation then? She lifted her head and said to him, “My feet are injured, and I can’t walk. How about you hold on to me?”

He frowned. He could not care less about the bloodstains on his hands as he bent down and gently lifted the hem of her wedding dress to look at her feet. Under the light of the crystal chandelier, her beautifully shaped feet were as white as jade, trapped in a pair of stilettos. The tight leather straps dug into her feet so much that they caused a few shocking wounds.

Li Lei clenched his fist in anger before releasing it.

“Break Nan Sheng’s toes as well.” He coldly instructed.

A few bodyguards responded to the order and dragged Nan Sheng to another corner to deal with him.

Li Lei’s words made Xia Ling’s skin crawl. She did not think that a casual sentence from her would cause him to inflict more harm. Although she had no sympathy for Nan Sheng, she was afraid that Li Lei would have no self-control and quickly said, “It hurts a lot. Please quickly help me out.”

Li Lei did support her, but he lifted her into his arms and gently said, “Bear with it for a while.”

He carried her and walked towards the exit. The blood on his body stained her pristine white wedding gown, causing it to turn dark red like the blooming of a blood rose. She quietly remained in his embrace. The long trail of the dress glided down the stage steps and caused the champagne tower to collapse. The glasses smashed onto the ground and stained a portion of the dress that was decorated with glowing crystals.

As they walked past, the guests quickly made way for them. Their heads were hung low, and they did not dare to look at them.

Two bodyguards were stationed beside them, and they helped them open the large door of the villa.

Two helicopters were parked outside.

Li Lei carried Xia Ling and entered one of them.

As such, Xia Ling finally understood why he was able to arrive so quickly. He immediately flew over there once he heard the news. After thinking about that, she suddenly remembered one person. “How is Mr. Zhou?”
