They stopped the boat at the pavilion in the middle of the lake and went up to the pavilion.

Looking around, they could see that the lotus leaves were green. The breeze created ripples on the lake and also carried a faint fragrance.

Xia Ling’s legs felt a little numb after having sat in the boat for a long time. As she walked a few steps into the small pavilion, she increased the distance between Nan Sheng and her at the same time. Today, Nan Sheng seemed very sensible and did not move in her direction. In a leisurely mood, she gazed at the scenery in the distance.

After a while, she could hear Nan Sheng’s voice from behind her. “Are you thirsty? I have mineral water here.”

She tilted her body sideways and realized that Fourth Uncle and Fourth Aunt had disappeared for some time. That small boat had also vanished without a trace. In the empty pavilion in the middle of the lake, the only people left were Nan Sheng and her. “Where are the others?” she asked, slightly alarmed.

“Are you talking about Uncle Ye and Fourth Aunt?” Nan Sheng smiled, his lustful eyes lingering on Xia Ling’s body. “They had something to do, so they decided to leave early. I think the scenery here is quite nice. How about I keep you company here for a while?”

If Xia Ling still could not tell that there was something wrong with the situation by now, she would have wasted her two lives.

“I’m tired. I want to go back,” said Xia Ling calmly.

“You tired? What should we do then?” Nan Sheng pretended to be annoyed. “The small boat has already been rowed away by Fourth Uncle, and we are surrounded by water. We can only wait for him to return. Are you cold? The wind is very strong in the middle of the lake. Be careful not to catch a cold. Come here a little closer and I will shield you from the wind.” Nan Sheng smiled, leaning forward in an attempt to wrap Xia Ling in his arms.

Xia Ling skillfully moved aside to escape from him. “Nan Sheng, what are you trying to do now?”

Nan Sheng failed at his attempt to hug her, but he calmly said, “Xiao Ling, don’t treat me like an outsider. Female bodies are all fragile. What’s wrong with taking shelter in my arms? Oh yes, has anyone told you before that you’re very pretty?”

Lecher. This shameless lecher did not even bother to hide his intentions.

Xia Ling felt a sense of disgust. How could someone be so repulsive? “Mr. Nan, please conduct yourself with dignity.” Her tone was as cold as the freezing snow. As she spoke, she scanned her surroundings and tried to come up with an escape plan.

However, Nan Sheng was unfazed. This little girl wanted to escape? How could she escape? This pavilion in the middle of the lake was specially chosen by Fourth Uncle because it was surrounded by water. Once Xia Ling was trapped in the pavilion, it was impossible for her to escape. After Nan Sheng carried out his small plan and had sex with her, what was done could not be undone. Why should he be afraid of her not listening to him then?

With a smug look on his face, he slowly approached her. “Xiao Ling, you have been in the entertainment industry for so long, I’m sure this is not the first time you are doing this with a man, so what’s there to be embarrassed about? Besides, we’re trapped alone in this pavilion with nothing better to do. How about you try it with me… among the lotus leaves and have some wild fun.”

Xia Ling was so disgusted by him she wanted to vomit. “Trash.” There was just no other word to describe him.

“Trash?” Nan Sheng smiled even more gleefully. “Sure. Fiesty girls are hot. I like them. Besides, whether I am really trash at it or not, you have to try it to find out. Xiao Ling, I will give you a good time. Your heart will definitely start to flutter…”

He was very confident in that area and considered himself a talent among men. He had been together with many women, and no woman did not enjoy having sex with him. This was why he could deceive two good wives at such a young age. Even his sister, who was of higher status than him, could not bear to leave after having an on and off relationship with him.

After reaching that point, he could order them about to his heart’s content and enslave them.

This was also why Nan Sheng was trying to make a move on Xia Ling. Even if Xia Ling had already found a backer who was richer and more powerful than him, as long as he could control her through sex, the other problems would be easily solved.

“Once you try it with me, you can never leave me…” Nan Sheng smiled slyly and grabbed Xia Ling’s arm.

Goosebumps started to form all over Xia Ling’s body. Knowing that she could get rid of him, with a very hard kick, poor Mr. Nan fell into the water like a butterfly. Following that there was a loud splash which caused huge waves to form.

She fiercely rubbed the part of her arm he had grabbed.

That person was too despicable and also overestimated himself. How dare he fantasize about her! She bet he would never have thought that Xia Ling knew self-defense. In her past life when she was with Pei Ziheng, she had hired and trained with the best personal trainer for a long time. Even if she could not defeat professional bodyguards, her skills were more than enough to deal with a few sc*ms like Mr. Nan.

She looked coldly at Nan Sheng, who was thrusting furiously in the water. “You piece of trash. If you do this again, I will make sure I cripple your d*ck.”

Nan Sheng, caught in a difficult situation, was enraged. “You! Cough … Just wait and see you brat! I will show you!” Not being a good swimmer, as he spoke, he thrust in the water and violently choked a few times.

Seeing that he was not going to die, Xia Ling could not be bothered to save him. Instead, she took out her cell phone and called her chauffeur. “Mr. Zhou, I have encountered some problems here. Can I trouble you to come over here to pick me up… I’m in the small pavilion in the middle of the lotus lake in the south of the village. You have to borrow a small boat from the villagers… No, I’m fine, just rather annoyed… Ok, I will wait for you.”

She hung up the phone and looked coldly at Nan Sheng, who was struggling in the water. He gripped the edge of the pavilion’s stone floor and tried to climb up, but she viciously stepped on his fingers.

“Ah!” Nan Sheng miserably screamed as he fell back into the water again.

“Why did you have to step on me?” He was furious. “By not letting me climb up, are you trying to murder me?! I’ll sue you!”

“Want to live?” She sneered. The golden glow of the afternoon sun sprinkled on her body. She was supposed to be a beauty that was as delicate as jade, but Nan Sheng did not know why he only felt a chill in the air.

“Swim to the shore yourself.” She lifted her hand and coldly pointed at the shore which was a long distance away. She would never let Nan Sheng climb back up to the pavilion. If she did, who knew whether he would continue to hurt her? If he wanted to blame someone, he could only blame himself. The evil we bring on ourselves is the hardest to bear.

Nan Sheng looked over his shoulder to see how far away he was from the shore. “You are crazy! How can I swim there?!”

Xia Ling indifferently replied, “You can’t swim there? Then you can die in the water.”

Nan Sheng was furious. He ignored Xia Ling and tried to hold on to the edge of the pavilion again. Unfortunately, Xia Ling stomped on his fingers again. She stomped on his fingers so hard that a few of Nan Sheng’s fingers started bleeding. The sudden burst of pain caused him to scream like a pig that was about to be butchered.

“You better think this through carefully,” said Xia Ling condescendingly in a cold manner. “If I step on your fingers two more times, they will be crippled. When that happens, you won’t even have the ability to swim to the shore. You should seize the opportunity now when you still have some strength, or you might not even be able to survive.”

Nan Sheng was so angry that he wanted to vomit blood, but he had no choice but to face the truth. This woman was giving him such a cold look that even he was unsure if she really dared to kill him… As someone who was affluent and had a prestigious status, dying in a lake was really not worth it. Forget it, I will let this irritating woman off for now. Saving myself is more urgent. He thought.

Nan Sheng was smart. Once he thought it through, he stopped wasting his time speaking with Xia Ling and began swimming to the shore.

Looking from afar, Xia Ling could see that he had already reached the shore. He collapsed like a dead fish on the muddy shore. Not far away, two teenagers that were passing by pointed at him and hesitatingly approached. However, they were frightened by his corpse-like appearance and ran away as quickly as they could.

The surroundings were finally peaceful and quiet, but Xia Ling was still trapped in the pavilion in the middle of the lake. She gazed at the lotus leaves and anxiously waited for her chauffeur to come to her rescue.

Who would have thought that her Fourth Uncle and Fourth Aunt would come to her rescue before him?
