A Star Reborn: The Queen’s Return

The countryside people loved to gossip; thus, the news spread very quickly. Many of them discussed the situation excitedly and ambiguously as they crowded around to watch the scene. Soon, the shore was filled with people who were pointing at the three people in the pavilion in the middle of the lake.

“Look at that, isn’t that the Fourth Uncle and Fourth Aunt of the Ye Family? Why are they tied up? Oh my, I can’t believe it! Fourth Uncle is actually naked! I would never have guessed that this couple enjoyed wild activities like that since they usually appear very normal.”

“Exactly! The Ye Family’s Fourth Uncle and his wife think that they are impressive just because they have earned some money. We’re acquainted because we live here together, but every time they see us, they always speak to us condescendingly. What is the deal with that? Now they are having a wild affair in the middle of the lake. They have such corrupt morals.”

“I thought it was said there were three people. Where is the other one?”

“On the floor… look quickly…”

“Oh my, there is really a person on the floor. Why is he not moving? Has he fainted?”

“Haha, I am sure that’s because he did it so intensely that he ran out of energy and fainted. I pity those two that are tied to the pillar because they have no way of being released. They really played too hard. Hahaha…”

The group of countryside people laughed amusingly.

The Eldest Aunt and Second Son of the Ye Family had accompanied Grandma Ye to the hospital. Thus, right now, only Xia Ling’s father and stepmother Aunt Liu were home. After they found out about the news regarding the affair in the pavilion, they felt as if they had been struck by lightning. How could it be? Everything was normal when they went on the lake tour. Fourth Uncle and Fourth Aunt said they wanted to set that brat Ye Xingling with Nan Sheng and even promised that after that was successful, the Nan Family would give them a large betrothal gift…

How could things end up this way in the blink of an eye?

Aunt Liu guessed that that brat Ye Xingling had something to with it and rushed to verify her conjecture.

At this point in time, Xia Ling had just returned to the house with her chauffeur Mr. Zhou. Once she entered Fourth Uncle and Fourth Aunt’s guest room, she found that there really was a large suitcase in it that was filled with cash, gold bars, and a Rolex watch.

“Move them all to our car,” said Xia Ling. Since Fourth Uncle and Fourth Aunt saw it coming, she would gladly not hold back and take their assets. She randomly grabbed a wad of cash and handed it to Mr. Zhou. “Take this. It is to repay you for the trouble you went through.”

Mr. Zhou was speechless.

Miss Ye’s style was really starting to resemble Young Master’s. She even had a charm similar to his when she split the profits. It was no different than the temperament of those in the Li family. Mr. Zhou silently recalled what Young Master had entrusted him with doing before he left. “Miss Ye is your Young Master’s future girlfriend and the future Mistress of the Li Family. You have to protect her well, and there cannot be any mistakes made.”

Alright, since it was from the future Mistress of the Li Family, he respectfully accepted the money.

Then, he single-handedly carried the heavy luggage bag and strode towards the BMW to place it in the trunk.

After Xia Ling finished what she set out to do, she stretched her back and opened the door of her room, only to find Aunt Liu and Father Ye waiting inside. “Ye Xingling, look at what you have done!” Aunt Liu lifted her bright red nail polished finger and pointed at Xia Ling. “What have you done to Fourth Uncle and Fourth Aunt?! The Ye Family has been humiliated by you!”

“What have I done to them?” Xia Ling sneered. “Why don’t you ask them what they wanted to do to me?”

“What possibly could they do to you?!” Aunt Liu was enraged. “You should consider yourself lucky that Young Master Nan likes you! He just wanted to find a place with nice scenery to profess his love to you. When you marry into the Nan family, you will enjoy wealth and luxury, what’s so bad about that? What were you befuddled with that caused things to turn out this way?!”

“Haha.” Xia Ling was too lazy to respond.

She actually thinks I would enjoy wealth and luxury after marrying into the Nan family? Xia Ling didn’t need to use her brain to know that Aunt Liu was just greedy for the betrothal gift…

“Instead of picking a fight with me, I think you must quickly bring those few good-for-nothings back. The ones embarrassing themselves in the pavilion are them,” said she lightly.

Aunt Liu froze. “I refuse to do such a humiliating thing! You should do it since you were the one that caused this mess!” She heard that Fourth Uncle and Young Master Nan were both stripped naked and Fourth Aunt’s clothes were disheveled. The entire village was talking about their indecency and that they did many perverted things. Thinking about how they were tied up and whipped made Aunt Liu’s face turn red.

“Anyway, I’m definitely not going,” said Xia Ling. “Don’t blame me for not warning you, but Nan Sheng has already fainted naked. It is very cold in the pavilion in the middle of the lake, and the wind is very strong there. If you’re too late, he may not even survive.”

Father Ye and Aunt Liu started to become anxious. If Nan Sheng died there, the Nan Family would not let them off!

Afraid and trembling, Father Ye turned to look at Xia Ling. “But Xiao Ling, you caused this mess!”

Xia Ling looked at him with a cold heart and felt sympathetic for her body’s original owner. What sort of father was he? He did not care even when his daughter was being bullied by others or was in grave danger. However, once the assaulters were met with some troubles, he immediately pushed all the responsibility to her.

“Am I your biological daughter?” asked Xia Ling.

Father Ye’s face turned red and lowered his head.

Aunt Liu screamed. “Don’t be insensible, you rebellious girl! If Young Master Nan dies, the Nan Family will only look for you, it will not be related to us in any way! If anyone should save them, it should be you!”

Xia Ling smiled. “I think you might have forgotten something. I’m a huge star! If such a scandal occurs, my company will naturally protect me. As for you two… your problems will be much larger. Take a guess, if the Nan Family can’t exert their revenge on me, who will they take it out on?”

“You!” Aunt Liu was fuming.

Father Ye lifted his head. “Xiao Ling, you can’t be so cruel.”

“I’m cruel?” Xia Ling laughed sarcastically. Her heart felt cold. That was her so-called biological father? “Listen carefully, Ye Zhongxiao, either you go to the pavilion in the middle of the lake to save them or get the hell out of my room! Whatever you say, you will decide to go or not.”

Father Ye was troubled, but he lacked the courage to persuade Xia Ling further. He hesitated for a long time before deciding that he could only go alone to rescue them. Otherwise, once Grandma Ye returned home and learned about this piece of news, she would be furious…

After being quiet for a while, he left the room.

Seeing that her husband had left, Aunt Liu snorted and stomped out of Xia Ling’s room.

That day, Fourth Uncle, Fourth Aunt, and Young Master Nan did not return. Xia Ling presumed that they thought it was too humiliating and did not remain in the village any longer. In the evening, Grandma Ye returned with Eldest Aunt, Second Son, and the other relatives. Xia Ling welcomed her back and sweetly said, “Grandma, are you ok?”

Grandma Ye affectionately rubbed her hair and replied, “I’m fine. The doctor prescribed some medicine for me, and I’m feeling better now. Let’s talk about you, little girl, how was your day at home? Did anybody bully you?”

“Why would anyone bully me?” Xia Ling laughed.

Aunt Liu, who was standing at the side, could not bear to watch them. Continue faking it, you brat! It would be a miracle if you stopped bullying others. She thought.
