God's Imitator

At the same time, Cheng Wen was also experiencing the games in various rooms while carefully observing the players’ movements according to Lin Sizhi’s previous instructions.

He noticed that more and more players were starting to try their luck in those previously unpopular rooms.

’Sea Minesweeper’ seemed to gradually become popular, with single-player mode players continuously coming in an endless stream.

Clearly, more and more players had discovered the trick to ’Sea Minesweeper’ and were starting to participate enthusiastically.

But Cheng Wen knew very clearly that the earnings these people could obtain would definitely be much less than what he and Lin Sizhi had obtained.

Because Lin Sizhi and Cheng Wen had actually activated an additional 10,000 in dividend amounts. Adding the basic 30,000, each person got 20,000.

And for later players, assuming 4 people activated 20,000 in dividend amounts, each person would only get 5,000.

Two players engaged in play had also appeared in ’Chess Endgame’. Although this game had a rake set and multiple plays weren’t very cost-effective, there were still players who wanted to try to earn the guaranteed 30,000 dividend as much as possible.

’Equipment Forging’ gradually became lively, with players entering and leaving one after another. However, there were still about three or four players who chose to stay, constantly hammering away with clanging sounds.

It could be seen that these players seemed to want to become familiar with this game mode through training. If they could ensure they stably achieved S ratings, then the earnings from this game would also be quite considerable. As for ’Auction Tycoon’, besides Lin Sizhi, there were now two other players.

But their expressions were quite different.

Lin Sizhi wasn’t anxious at all, just leisurely looking at the information on the game station. Who knew what he was actually thinking.

The other two players were obviously much more anxious. They were also looking at the game station, seemingly waiting for something, but found it hard to really settle down and couldn’t help but look around, observing the dynamics of other game rooms.

Looking at all the players’ movements comprehensively, Cheng Wen had already noticed that a preliminarily organized group had appeared in this lobby.

This group should be composed of about 12 players.

Among them, 8 players were those currently occupying the single-player modes of ’Compare Sizes’ and ’Simple Poker’. They seemed to monopolize this portion of earnings through a rotating system of three groups of people.

The other three or four players were all hammering away in ’Equipment Forging’. They would occasionally gather together to chat while observing the situation in other game rooms.

The leading player wore gold-rimmed glasses. Cheng Wen hadn’t seen him before and didn’t know his name.

”It should be about time to go report to Brother Lin...”

Cheng Wen felt he had collected about enough information.

He himself still couldn’t think of any particularly good strategies. And besides, since small groups had already appeared among the players, players who persisted in not joining groups would definitely suffer losses.

Aside from the very few sufficiently strong players, other players all needed to quickly find a way to find themselves an organization.

For Cheng Wen, if he had to choose, of course choosing Lin Sizhi would give him more peace of mind.

...

At this time, after He Xiaojun glanced at this dividend distribution from ’Compare Sizes’, he quickly returned to the ’Auction Tycoon’ room and continuously refreshed the goods.

But the longer he waited, the more anxious he became.

He waited for about ten minutes. Finally, he saw a special interface pop up on the game station.

[Goods have been sold. Please ’Community 14 He Xiaojun’ collect earnings.]

He Xiaojun discovered this game station was relatively rigorous, because the game stations in this game room were different from those in the lobby. The quantity wasn’t enough for 20, and they didn’t have a one-to-one correspondence with players.

So when players performed operations here, the game station would add an identity verification step.

He Xiaojun quickly swiped his bracelet. The earnings from this transaction appeared on the game station: 6100 chips.

He couldn’t help but pause, ”Why are there both whole numbers and fractions?”

The goods sold were an ’Auction Ticket: Calligraphy and Paintings’. The original price was 1000 chips. He Xiaojun listed it at 2000, but actually received 6100 chips.

A net profit of 5100 chips.

As for the other ’Auction Ticket: Calligraphy’, it hadn’t sold.

Who bought this item?

Other players in this room?

Most likely not, because these goods were listed there by default and didn’t have any actual use.

The chips in this room were different from ’Compare Sizes’. Because the total quantity of chips was very scarce, they could be exchanged for a lot of visa time, basically viewable as a 1:1 exchange.

Other players had no reason to use precious chips to buy these meaningless items.

Then, most likely it was automatically purchased by the system.

That is to say, this room also had a method for obtaining stable earnings, which was to purchase these items from the game station and list them at a higher price.

Besides this, during the goods selling process, the longer players used the game station in this room, that is, ’continuously following auction goods’, the more additional chip rewards they could obtain.

”I waited for roughly just over 10 minutes and additionally obtained 6100 chips, which means roughly every 10 seconds I got an additional 100 chips.

”This return is also pretty good, right?

”It’s just that before, everyone saw the 100% transaction tax and was discouraged, so at the very beginning, not many people came to this room.”

He Xiaojun subconsciously looked at the chip exchange counter at the game room entrance. Unfortunately, the dividend time had just passed, so his large amount of chips couldn’t immediately be exchanged for visa time.

”Strange, that person should also have had quite a few chips earlier and should also be able to exchange them for visa time, right?

”But he doesn’t seem to have exchanged much. He’s obviously kept a large amount of chips in hand.”

He Xiaojun looked at the player who had already been in the room earlier. Since he was in the room so early, he should have discovered this mechanism earlier than himself.

”Strange, wouldn’t doing this result in pure losses? Why keep so many chips in hand?

”Because other players will eventually discover the method for fixedly obtaining chips in this room. As more and more players come, the chips everyone stably obtains will also increase.

”And the dividend growth rate is far behind the chip growth rate.

”Which means the ’chip inflation’ seen before will occur.

”Players who exchange chips earlier will be able to get more visa time.

”So this player keeping chips to exchange later, no matter how you look at it, seems like unwise behavior, right?

”Just keep a small portion of chips for earning money. Converting most chips into visa time to secure them is the best choice.

”Unless... he believes the chips in this room will be more valuable than visa time in the upcoming period, but that’s impossible.”

He Xiaojun couldn’t figure out the trick in this for the moment.

But he could guess that these players who decided to hold chips from a certain room long-term must have already formulated some specific plans around the rules of these rooms.
