God's Imitator

There were too many players at ’Compare Sizes’, and the single player and two-player small tables had all been occupied, so Xu Zhao could only choose the next best thing and come to ’Simple Poker’.

After briefly understanding the rules, Xu Zhao felt very regretful.

The God’s Imitator who designed this game room was really lazy enough!

Wasn’t this just a simplified version of ’Blood Poker’?

The game rules were very similar to ’Blood Poker’, still a simple version of zhajinhua, and the card types were also consistent with the previous ’Blood Poker’ situation.

However, ’Simple Poker’ had three different modes.

Single player mode was gambling against an automated table.

Two-player mode was two people gambling against each other.

Multi-player mode was 3 to 8 people gambling against each other.

However, this time there was no setting of ’the automated table won’t fold’, and regardless of winning or losing, the winner would additionally receive some chip subsidies. This point had the same effect as the ’Compare Sizes’ rules. The God’s Imitators who designed both these games had made their games into positive-sum games.

So the more Xu Zhao played, the more he regretted his own stupidity.

’Simple Poker’ directly using the ’Blood Poker’ mechanism wasn’t being lazy, but was precisely a very smart performance.

Because ’Blood Poker’ was a distribution-type game with full participation, almost all players were already familiar with its rules and various card type diagrams.

Players who joined communities later, even if they hadn’t personally played, most likely also understood the corresponding rules.

So for players, this game had the lowest learning cost, about the same as rolling dice in the ’Compare Sizes’ game.

This God’s Imitator hadn’t bothered at all with details in the game. Just by determining ’positive-sum game’ and ’0% rake’, these two points had already established a great advantage.

Looking back at Xu Zhao, he had repeatedly considered the rule details of ’Chess Endgame’, even found related books from the community library area, and from dozens of different endgames found several that were relatively obscure and balanced, spending great effort.

As a result, looking at it now, the direction was wrong, and all those efforts had become useless work.

Xu Zhao’s original idea was to play games in ’Simple Poker’ on one side, normally earning visa time to complete his game objective as a player, while thinking about strategies on the other side, trying to persuade as many players as possible to play ’Chess Endgame’ to save himself as a God’s Imitator.

He never expected to be caught red-handed by this male player wearing gold-rimmed glasses across from him.

And hearing the three words ”Chen Guangming”, Xu Zhao’s heart sank even more.

Because he had heard this name before.

After returning from the ’Shelter Game’, because the community had experienced tragic deaths for the first time, Wang Weidong had also conducted a comprehensive review of the situation inside the game at that time.

Although Xu Zhao hadn’t entered the ’Shelter Game’, he had also heard of Chen Guangming and knew he was definitely a very difficult player to deal with.

But after all, he had never met Chen Guangming in person and hadn’t expected to coincidentally encounter him in this game.

If Xu Zhao had known earlier that this player wearing gold-rimmed glasses across from him was Chen Guangming, he definitely would have been more careful and cautious. No, perhaps from the very beginning, he wouldn’t have played cards with him at all.

But things had come to this point. Chen Guangming had already confirmed too much information with his unexpected probing. Xu Zhao could only accept reality and reconsider his strategy.

He shook hands with Chen Guangming, ”Community 15, Xu Zhao.

”I’ve heard Wang Weidong mention you, so how do you plan to cooperate?”

Chen Guangming adjusted his glasses, ”Actually, it’s not that complicated to explain.

”You should have also noticed that although each room in this game has different rules and can all win chips, the chances of winning fighting alone are very low.

”What’s important is uniting with other players to conduct planning and arrangement.

”Jointly share returns and reduce risk.”

Xu Zhao slightly frowned, ”The reasoning is correct, but the problem is, there’s no mechanism in this game that can evenly distribute returns.

”There are no contracts that can be signed, nor are there gold coins to evenly distribute time.

”Although both ’Compare Sizes’ and ’Simple Poker’ have extra rewards, players are prohibited from agreeing on wins and losses in any way.

”There will always be differences in luck between the two sides. Some people win more, some win less.

”Players who win more can’t intentionally lose. He definitely wouldn’t be willing, and the game rules also don’t allow doing so.

”This kind of cooperation simply isn’t stable enough.”

Chen Guangming nodded, ”I naturally thought of this point, so I’ll only occupy single player mode.

”My plan is this: We form a group consisting of 12 players.

”Among them, 4 players will fixedly occupy the four single player mode positions in ’Compare Sizes’, and another 4 players will fixedly occupy the four single player mode positions in ’Simple Poker’.

”These eight positions are all single player mode. The expected returns are all positive. Judging from the current situation, they’re the best positions in the entire game hall.”

Xu Zhao thought for a moment, ”But they all have restrictions. They can’t be occupied for long periods.

”So your plan is to have 12 people continuously rotate, so that there are always 8 players occupying the 8 positions with the highest returns, while the other four players wait for rotation?”

Chen Guangming nodded slightly, ”Yes. These other four players aren’t just simply waiting for rotation. They can also pay attention to the movements of other game rooms at any time.

”For example, the ’Sea Minesweeper’ room. I suspect there’s also a way to stably obtain returns inside. The fact that those two players entered so long ago and haven’t come out yet is proof.

”However, we don’t need to be anxious, because judging from that room’s rules, each person can only win 10 rounds.

”After we form this 12-person team, we can go obtain the returns from that room in batches.

”The priority of forming a team is obviously higher.”

Xu Zhao lowered his head, deep in thought.

Chen Guangming’s plan was still relatively reliable. He temporarily couldn’t think of any major problems.

There were 20 players in the hall. If a 12-person team could be formed, then they could naturally become the majority and occupy the positions in the hall that could stably produce returns.

The 12-person team wouldn’t internally consume each other. This way, the overall returns would definitely be superior to the remaining 8 players.

Other game halls would also very likely have this kind of situation. So although joining such a group might not necessarily make one among the players with the highest returns, at least one wouldn’t become the last 30%, leading to elimination.

Moreover, this game itself didn’t seem to have too much strategy involved. The players also all came from different communities and didn’t have any very stable cooperative foundation between them.

In this situation, the earlier you organized a small group, the more advantage you had.

Because after already joining a certain small group, without particularly strong reasons, players wouldn’t defect.

In other words, players who formed teams first had an advantage, and it would be very difficult to poach people afterward.

After seriously considering, Xu Zhao nodded, ”Alright, I can cooperate with you. However, your plan shouldn’t just stop at this, right?”
