God's Imitator

He Xiaojun’s combo count quickly broke, the score growth rate slowed down, and the expected rating also began to decline.

One game lasted about 2 minutes. He Xiaojun had been playing seriously, but at the final moment, he still ended up flustered and confused, causing the expected rating to drop from A to B.

The game station emitted special light effects. Although they were colored light effects, they weren’t particularly flashy.

At the same time, the cover on the compartment opened, and the coin outlet next to it also ejected 4 chips worth 100 each.

He Xiaojun picked up the Training Card and looked at it, discovering that compared to before, it had no changes at all except for an additional perforation on it.

According to the game rules, this perforation meant it had been given one ’Damaged’ attribute. If it accumulated 3 damaged attributes, the item would disappear into thin air.

In other words, after all of He Xiaojun’s busy work, he didn’t earn anything and also lost an additional 100 chips, plus the card was ’Damaged’.

”This room is way too strange!

”The God’s Imitator who designed this game room, who exactly are they expecting to play?”

He Xiaojun now understood why this room had always had so few people playing, even though it clearly stated 0% rake and 0% transaction tax in the room, making it look very cost-effective.First of all, this game was quite difficult and very deceptive.

He Xiaojun considered his own reaction speed and hand speed to be not too bad, at a normal person’s level, but playing for the first time, he could only get a B rating.

According to the reward mechanism, only by achieving an A or even S rating in this game could it be considered positive returns.

S rating nets 1500 chips profit, while A rating nets 300 chips profit.

But the problem was, due to the game’s difficulty, these two ratings were very hard to achieve.

The ’Expected Rating’ setting in the game was quite deceptive.

Because at the beginning, the fragments didn’t fall very fast and the quantity wasn’t much, so players could achieve combos well. If players could maintain this combo count, then by the end of the game, they could indeed obtain an A or even S rating.

So at that time, the ’Expected Rating’ being A or S was indeed not wrong.

But the problem was, afterward, the speed and quantity of fragments would obviously increase, and after the combo count broke, the expected rating would rapidly decline.

In the end, most ordinary people who hadn’t received training could only obtain a B rating.

The result was pure loss.

And even if an A rating was achieved, the reward wasn’t that much, because in just over 2 minutes, one could only net 300 chips.

In 30 minutes, about 10 games could be played, which meant earning 3000 chips.

During room dividend distribution, 100 chips could be exchanged for at most 100 minutes of visa time.

Besides this, the cost of purchasing ’Training Cards’ also had to be considered, because each time the same item was forged, the forging cost would increase by an additional 500 chips, so new cards had to be continuously purchased.

Therefore, after bustling about in this room for a long time, the returns weren’t even as good as mindlessly playing dice in the ’Compare Sizes’ room.

Calculating based on such returns, by the end of the game, it would basically be a dead end.

If an S rating could be achieved, then it would indeed be very cost-effective. Theoretically, 15,000 chips could be earned in 30 minutes, but that was only theoretical.

Not to mention how long it would take to practice for an S rating, or how good the reaction speed and hand speed would need to be. Even if a single S rating could be achieved, as long as there was one mistake or moment of inattention afterward, the rating would very likely quickly drop to A.

He Xiaojun wasn’t certain that staying in this room to practice would allow him to stably obtain S ratings. This was a very risky choice.

”If I had to say what special value this room has, it should be the ’Randomly Transform Equipment’ clause.

”The ’Training Card’ and ’Instant-Death Immunity Card’ in this game look very similar, which means if I could obtain a Death Immunity Card, I could similarly use the forging game to transform it into a different body part.

”But... what use would that be?

”To avoid transaction tax?

”But according to this room’s game rules, starting each game requires consuming chips, and each time the same item is forged, the chips consumed will double. The first time is 500, the second time becomes 1000. Even if an S rating can be achieved, the third forging would only barely break even.

”And the chips in this game are extremely valuable, they can even be considered as exchangeable 1:1 with visa time.

”If I really had a duplicate card, directly listing it on the auction terminal outside would be the most worry-free and labor-saving choice. After all, time cost is also a cost.”

He Xiaojun could roughly guess that the God’s Imitator who designed this room might have wanted to use the Death Immunity Card mechanism to allow players to avoid transaction tax through this method, but he also felt this approach didn’t seem very workable.

He decided to go take a look at ’Auction Tycoon’, play it himself hands-on, and then choose the more suitable option between the two games.

...

In the ’Auction Tycoon’ room, there was also currently one player playing.

He Xiaojun didn’t recognize them either, so he first went to the chip exchange counter to exchange chips.

This room had a 100% transaction tax, which meant that if a Death Immunity Card was produced in this room, whether it was listed on the auction house or not had no meaning, because even if it was sold, the proceeds would all be deducted as transaction tax.

This room also didn’t have any free chip distribution. He Xiaojun could only pay out of pocket again, using 1000 minutes of visa time to purchase chips.

After getting the chips, he entered the interior of the room and discovered there were 10 different game stations here, and these devices looked somewhat similar to the ’Auction Terminal’ in the lobby.

He Xiaojun randomly chose a game station and then took a quick look.

Its functions were similar to the ’Auction Terminal’, both could freely bid on or list goods and items.

But there were two main differences from the ’Auction Terminal’ in the lobby.

First, the auction function in this room could only use chips from the current room as currency, and couldn’t use visa time.

Second, in this room, some goods were listed by default, such as ’Auction Ticket: Antiques’, ’Auction Ticket: Calligraphy and Paintings’, ’Auction Ticket: Calligraphy’, and so on.

The quantities and bidding prices of these goods also varied, with higher quantities having lower prices and lower quantities having higher prices.

Besides this, there was also a line of prompts on the game station interface.

[Continuously following auction goods can earn additional chip rewards.]

Besides this, there was also a separate page and function.

[Exclusive Usage Rights Bidding Rules:]

[When players auction items at any game station in the room and obtain chips, they can freely choose to convert any proportion of chips into ’Points’, which will be automatically recorded.]

[Players can consume points to bid for the ’Exclusive Usage Rights’ of a certain game station. The player who consumes more points wins.]

[Players who obtain ’Exclusive Usage Rights’ can occupy that game station, prohibiting other players from using it, and can also forcibly remove goods currently being auctioned on that game station.]
