Just Engaged, the Abandoned Comeback System Arrived

Chapter 153: Chapter 153: Celestial Derivation Hammer

Lu Yuan arrived at the Yan Residence and knocked on the door.

CLICK.

The door opened, and a little head poked out.

”Lu Yuan!”

”Why are you here?” Lu Yuan asked, his eyes wide.

”Hehe, why can’t I be here?” Lin Siheng looked at Lu Yuan smugly. ”Take a guess!”

”I’m guessing you’re skipping school.” Lu Yuan pushed the door open and walked in.

”Nonsense! I didn’t skip school!” Lin Siheng closed the door and quickly ran over to Uncle Yuann, bowing respectfully. ”Master.”

”Mhm.” Uncle Yuann looked at Lu Yuan with a hint of amusement. ”What do you think of my new apprentice? I heard you two know each other.”

”He’s a little rascal,” Lu Yuan evaluated simply.

”He is quite mischievous,” Uncle Yuann agreed with a nod. ”His aptitude is very strong, the strongest I’ve ever seen. He’s perfectly suited to cultivate my lineage’s martial arts.”

”Then congratulations, Uncle Yuann. Just don’t let him pluck your beard bare in the future,” Lu Yuan reminded him with a smile.

”Hmm?” Uncle Yuann’s eyebrows shot up.

”I wouldn’t dare! I wouldn’t dare!” Lin Siheng shook his head, but his gaze drifted over to the beard anyway. He wondered if plucking it would be fun.

For Lin Siheng to become an apprentice, he must have received permission from Lu Yuan’s future father-in-law, Lin Qingfeng. Or perhaps Lin Qingfeng had requested it himself. Lu Yuan wasn’t surprised at all that Lin Qingfeng had found this place. However, letting Lin Siheng take Uncle Yuan as his master made Lu Yuan think even more highly of Uncle Yuan’s background, cultivation, and strength.

Lu Yuan had a task today. He planned to forge a Profound Weapon Bow and Arrow. Having advanced to the Seventh Grade, a ten-dan bow was definitely no longer enough for him. He needed a much more powerful Profound Weapon Bow and Arrow. Since he had the resources, he naturally wanted to equip himself with the best to increase his combat power in all aspects. Lu Yuan wanted to be an all-around fighter.

He entered the Weapon-Forging Room and began his preparations. The Liu family had already delivered the metal for the bow’s body. For the bowstring, he would use the leftover zither string materials from last time; they were a perfect match. Lu Yuan carefully designed the weapon.

The bow itself would be an Essence-Gathering Array, with the arrow acting as the core and trigger. When an arrow was nocked on the string, the Essence-Gathering Array would activate, absorbing Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi. The further the string was drawn back, the larger the Essence-Gathering Array would become, speeding up the gathering rate and enhancing its power.

The arrow would be the main attacking body. It could be forged with the fire attribute, the ice or water attribute, or even the metal attribute to shatter Gang Qi, pierce armor, and break defenses. Once the physical arrows were used up, a Martial Artist could also condense True Essence Arrows to achieve a similar effect. However, purely condensing True Essence Arrows might not be as powerful as using physical arrows. Furthermore, they were prone to dissipating and had range limitations. The advantage was that as long as one had True Essence, they could be condensed at any time, and the speed was much faster.

The workload was significant. It took Lu Yuan an hour to forge the bow. He didn’t have time to forge the arrows just yet. He planned to forge ten Trigram Fire Arrows, ten Profound Ice Arrows, and ten Sharp Gold Arrows. Every single arrow would be equivalent to a Profound Weapon. It would take him several days to forge them all.

By the time Lu Yuan came out of the Weapon-Forging Room, Yan Qing had already returned.

”Yan Qing.”

”Lu Yuan, come with me!”

Yan Qing invited Lu Yuan into his room. He once again brought out the memorial tablet of their sect’s founder and the portrait of their master. The two of them offered incense together. Then, Yan Qing solemnly brought out an unassuming, pitch-black little hammer. Its handle was less than two feet long, and its bottom had a nine-sided head forming a sharp cone. It looked so ordinary that if it were thrown on the ground, no one would even bother to pick it up.

”This is the inherited Spiritual Weapon of our Celestial Weapon Sect—the Celestial Derivation Hammer!” Yan Qing introduced solemnly. ”Every Sect Leader and Great Artisan wields it, and Divine Artisans even use it to forge Divine Weapons.”

”The Celestial Derivation Hammer!” Lu Yuan looked at the hammer with a serious expression. Divine artifacts conceal their brilliance. It was completely normal for a top-tier Spiritual Weapon to possess a certain level of sentience and hide its true nature. Celestial Derivation! Just these two words were extraordinary. Given that the Celestial Weapon Sect had a legacy spanning over a hundred thousand years, this had to be the absolute highest caliber of Spiritual Weapon. He wouldn’t even be surprised if it were a Divine Weapon.

”Only when the Little Heavenly Gang Meteor Hammer reaches Perfection can one use it. Give it a try.” Yan Qing offered the Celestial Derivation Hammer to Lu Yuan with both hands.

WHOOSH.

Lu Yuan took it with both hands and then gripped it with one. In an instant, he felt a sensation as if they were connected by blood.

BUZZ!

The Celestial Derivation Hammer vibrated on its own, as if it had suddenly come to life. Then, it began to glow, drawing in Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi. Its area of effect gradually expanded outward, growing larger and larger. It enveloped the entire courtyard, even pulling down the power of the stars from the highest heavens...

”!!” Yan Qing watched in shock.

Lu Yuan could activate the Celestial Derivation Hammer! His Little Heavenly Gang Meteor Hammer had indeed reached Perfection! It had been more than a decade since he had last seen the Celestial Derivation Hammer glow and display its sentience.

”Yan Qing, you have top-tier aptitude, right?” Lu Yuan asked.

”Mhm,” Yan Qing nodded. It was precisely because of his top-tier aptitude that their master had taken a liking to him at first sight, accepting him as a disciple after a series of tests.

”Then I’ll test out the Celestial Derivation Hammer’s effect on improving aptitude,” Lu Yuan said, the corners of his mouth curling up as he looked at Yan Qing.

”Lu Yuan, what... what are you trying to do?” Yan Qing felt a wave of fear and couldn’t help but step back. Although he knew that reaching Perfection with the Little Heavenly Gang Meteor Hammer combined with the Celestial Derivation Hammer could improve one’s aptitude, Lu Yuan was a novice! He had never done this before. Using him as a test subject... If he got beaten to death with one strike of the hammer, he wouldn’t even have a place to cry about it. ”Lu Yuan, let’s not do this. Can you find someone else?”

”Don’t worry, Yan Qing. My hammer technique has already reached Perfection,” Lu Yuan smiled. He channeled his True Essence, making the Celestial Derivation Hammer absorb Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi even faster. Wisps of white light appeared in the sky above the Yan Residence. He didn’t stop until he felt it was about enough. ”Come on, Yan Qing. Don’t worry.”

”Lu Yuan, stay away from me!” Yan Qing retreated once more.

”Yan Qing, I guarantee nothing will go wrong,” Lu Yuan smiled cheerfully.

”I don’t believe you!” Yan Qing refused.

”Yan Qing, is there not even this little bit of trust between us?” Lu Yuan shook his head and sighed.

”I...” Yan Qing was torn. Should he trust Lu Yuan?

”You can use your Gang Qi to protect yourself,” Lu Yuan added.

”Gang Qi to protect myself...” Yan Qing’s eyes lit up. That might work. However, he was facing the top-tier Spiritual Weapon, the Celestial Derivation Hammer. Even if it only unleashed a ten-thousandth of its power... ”Bring it on!” Yan Qing’s eyes flickered before he finally agreed. There were only two of them in the sect. If he didn’t act as the guinea pig, who would?

”Haha, you’re the best, Yan Qing! Thank you for trusting me!” Lu Yuan slammed the hammer right onto Yan Qing’s forehead.

BANG!

A cluster of green spiritual light flashed and sank into Yan Qing’s body. Then...

CLANG CLANG CLANG!

THUD THUD THUD!

Lu Yuan furiously pounded Yan Qing with the hammer. He struck rapidly and incessantly. With every strike, the strange vibrations fused a portion of the spiritual light into the very source of Yan Qing’s body, rapidly strengthening his physique and aptitude...

The hammering continued for fifteen minutes before finally coming to a stop. The enhancement process had also concluded. At this moment, Yan Qing was entirely red, looking as if he had just been pulled out of a steamer. Yet, his complexion was exceptionally good, and he even wore an incredibly comfortable and satisfied smile on his face.

”That felt great! So good! Haha, Lu Yuan, again! Keep going! I can take more!”

”...” Lu Yuan was speechless. Just a moment ago, he had been refusing. ”How is the effect? By what percentage did it increase?”

”The effect?” Yan Qing checked his condition, and then became wildly excited. ”Twenty percent! A full twenty percent!”

”Twenty percent...” Lu Yuan took a light breath. Yan Qing originally had a top-tier aptitude, with a base value over two hundred. A twenty percent increase meant adding forty to fifty points. That was roughly equivalent to an Innate Pill, and all it took was a few strikes with a Spiritual Hammer.

Strong! Incredibly strong!

”Lu Yuan, hurry up and do it again.”
