Invincible from Seeing the BOSS's Health Bar

Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Stepping Forward (3rd Update)

He strode out of the martial arts academy.

Now, Fang Yu was brimming with confidence, his aura as majestic as a rainbow.

Standing in front of the dojo’s gate, he surveyed the whole scene.

[Ping Quanyun: 27/27.]

[Ding Bingjue: 35/35.]

[Feng Yu: 45/45.]

[Leng Zhuoman: 33/33.]

[Shan Feizhen: 41/41.]

[Wei Jia: 22/22.]

[Qi Dongjia: 38/38.]

Fang Yu: ...

Among the crowd of fellow disciples walking out, there was no sign of any demon.

Huh?

Where are they??

No, I mean, where’s the demon? How can such a big demon just vanish??

Fang Yu was getting anxious.

He used to be the one chased by demons.

But now, just when he was finally able to chase after and slash at demons, the demon had disappeared??

I don’t accept this!

I do not accept this outcome!

I still have Evil Qi on me!

Without Evil Qi, I’d be killing people to get some. Come out!

The three demons that surrounded me at the dojo before, show yourselves!!

Fang Yu glared around fiercely, afraid of missing any health bar.

It makes no sense for them to have left, it’s not possible.

My big experience points gift pack, a fragrant and delicious human flesh imbued with Evil Qi, you don’t want it anymore??

Fang Yu was performing his own silent monologue, while disciples passing by thought he had gone mad, casting frequent sidelong glances at him.

”Diao Deyi, what are you doing?”

Suddenly, a voice came from behind.

He turned around and saw Shi Zhongmei, who had just come out of the dojo.

”Nothing, just checking to see if there’s anyone suspicious at the entrance of the dojo.”

”You’re the most suspicious, staring with such big eyes. Are you plotting a murder or what?”

”...” Fang Yu ignored her.

”Rest assured, this is the Red Heart Dojo, who without eyes would dare to cause trouble at our dojo’s entrance.”

It must be a demon, who else could it be.

Fang Yu was about to tell Shi Zhongmei to hurry off and not bother him.

Suddenly, his gaze reached the street ahead, where a crowd of passersby was crossing the intersection.

Among them, one stood out with a square cap and gray robe.

First, it was because of his health bar.

Second, it was because of the sneaky glances he kept throwing this way.

[Wuyun Valley: 375/555.]

Fang Yu, smiled.

Isn’t this one of the three Great Demons that ambushed me this afternoon?

The greed of humanity, indeed, is not so easily controlled.

Oh wait, I should say the greed of demons!

Upon realizing that the other party had not given up hunting him, Fang Yu completely let his guard down.

After a careful observation, he noticed that this demon’s health had recovered by about 20 since the afternoon.

But, it would be in vain.

The roles of hunter and hunted had already secretly reversed, and some demons were still oblivious to this fact.

Touching the paired swords hanging at his waist, Fang Yu walked out with large strides.

”Eh? You’re leaving?” Shi Zhongmei asked in surprise.

”Yeah, I’m off.”

Entering the street, Fang Yu didn’t slow down, not worried in the slightest about losing the demon.

In the afternoon, those three demons had tracked me down to the Red Heart Dojo by scent.

So now, a mere few streets away, could they possibly lose track of me?

The demon who’s not at full health has waited this long, surely it must be aching to pounce on me and suck my marrow.

But it doesn’t know that’s exactly what I’m thinking too!

A demon with a max health of over five hundred has got to contribute at least a few stat points to me, right?

Fang Yu couldn’t wait to slay demons and eliminate monsters.

But...

There were too many people on the streets!

The demon did not dare to make a move.

Glancing back, indeed, the demon had followed.

All that was left was to find a suitable location.

Striding forward, Fang Yu took a different route home than usual after turning a corner.

From the main road to the side street, then straight down an alley.

After some maneuvering, even the sky had darkened.

Under the moonlight, in the alley.

When Fang Yu stopped.

A hundred meters behind him, someone also came to a halt.

Fang Yu slowly turned around, gazing directly at the person behind.

”This friend...”

The demon didn’t speak; it stared and started walking briskly towards Fang Yu.

”...Why have you followed me all this way?”

Fang Yu’s face showed ’confusion’.

That naive expression and puzzled gaze made the approaching demon even more excited.

Bang!!

With a sudden forceful stomp, the ground cracked slightly, and he pounced towards Fang Yu like a cheetah.

”What... what are you doing?!”

Fang Yu exclaimed in shock, showing terror on his face.

Yes! This is the kind of expression!

The foolish expression of humans!!

A cruel smile crept across the demon’s face, and amidst its leap, it suddenly opened its big mouth wide.

A black shadow squeezed out from its gaping maw, splitting its head into two blood-soaked halves from top to bottom.

The shadow seemed to gain momentum, shooting towards Fang Yu with a whoosh!

[Split-mouthed Demon: 375/555.]

”Demon... demon...”

In the eyes of the Split-mouthed Demon, the human faintly tinged with Evil Qi had turned deathly pale with sheer panic!

Be afraid! Be terrified! Humans are just food for demons!

The Split-mouthed Demon opened its huge mouth wide, showing off its sharp teeth, as if it could easily bite off a human’s head in one bite!

Closer! Even closer!

Even the trembling skin on the human’s face and the eyes full of fear were vividly visible.

Just like... a lamb waiting to be slaughtered!

The Split-mouthed Demon, unable to contain its excitement after an afternoon of waiting, felt the prey was finally within its grasp.

Therefore, it paid such close attention, so eager to taste which piece of flesh it would devour next.

Therefore, it noticed the trembling of the prey’s face suddenly stop.

Therefore, it saw the terrified expression on the prey’s face turn into an unrestrained wild joy.

Therefore, it saw a sword strike as swift as lightning!

Split-mouthed Demon: !!!

”Monster, monster, monster... demon!!”

Fang Yu’s initial cries of ’monster’ were filled with utmost fear. In the next second, his shout of ’demon’ was one of sheer excitement.

The transition of emotions happened in an instant, and Fang Yu had already executed his sword attack!

Yuantai... Twin Zero Sword!!

Buzz!!

The Longsword took the lead, piercing through the air towards the gaping mouth of the Split-mouthed Demon!

-34!!

The Dagger Blade assisted from below, stabbing upwards into the round body of the Split-mouthed Demon!

-8!!

Two damage numbers appeared in succession, blasting out high critical damage in red!

But Fang Yu didn’t pause for even half a second, his right hand exerting force, driving the attacking Longsword further into the demon’s gaping mouth, aiming to fully penetrate the Split-mouthed Demon’s body.

However, the next moment, he felt an almost irresistible terrifying resistance! The Longsword could not advance even a fraction more.

Fang Yu was taken aback.

Looking in astonishment, he truly saw the Split-mouthed Demon’s real appearance for the first time.

It was a round monster, as black as a rubber ball, half the height of a person, with a bulging belly, having devoured who knows how many humans.

The entire body, aside from that big mouth, seemed to have no other organs.

At this moment, with that big mouth closed tight, Fang Yu realized that his attacking Longsword was firmly bitten by the Split-mouthed Demon’s large upper and lower incisors, unable to penetrate any further!
