Invincible from Seeing the BOSS's Health Bar

Chapter 60: Chapter 60: The Second Sword against Demons (2nd Update)

[Physique: 3.2→4.2.]

[Health: 632/632→642/642.]

[Attribute Points: 9→8.]

Once his physique increased, Fang Yu immediately felt a significant replenishment of the physical strength exhausted by earlier sword training.

His body also felt somewhat stronger.

Fang Yu quickly realized the difference between obtaining a high amount of health from the demon talent and increasing health through enhancing physique.

The health gained from demon talent seemed to be added out of nowhere and served only to increase health without any other effects.

On the other hand, increasing physique not only boosts health but also augments stamina, endurance, and other invisible attributes, thereby improving overall physical quality—a comprehensive enhancement, so to speak.

Simply put,

Physique raises the lower limit of a character.

Demon talent elevates the upper limit.

Both have their distinct responsibilities, but their commonality lies merely in health enhancement.

After increasing his physique, Fang Yu carefully felt the effects.

The result was...

No feeling.

Then...

”Add points!”

[Physique: 4.2→5.2.]

[Attribute Points: 8→7.]

Still no feeling...

Continue!

[Physique: 5.2→7.2.]

[Attribute Points: 7→5.]

Qi-Blood surged, and his body slightly heated up.

Fang Yu was startled.

Is this the so-called feeling?

But it seems a bit off compared to the limit mentioned by Yuan Hongxin?

Keep going!

[Physique: 7.2→9.2.]

[Attribute Points: 5→3.]

Hot! Very hot!

Upon adding points, the turmoil of Qi-Blood within his body was intense, and his skin even reddened slightly.

However, this sensation soon subsided.

It seems he added too many attribute points at once, causing an overreaction in his body.

After resting for a while, Fang Yu hesitated and then only added one point to his physique.

[Physique: 9.2→10.]

[Health: 692/692→700/700.]

[Attribute Points: 3→2.]

How did it swallow my 0.2 points...

[System Notification: Player meets the advancement criteria; breakthrough imminent.]

[System Notification: Congratulations to the player for breaking through constraints and advancing to mid-level Flower Realm, Physique +1, Spirit +1.]

...Damn.

Although it swallowed 0.2 points,

the outcome was still favorable.

A successful breakthrough in realm.

Moreover, a pitfall was discovered: try making breakthroughs when the physique is a whole number in the future.

That way, points behind the decimal won’t go wasted.

The sensation of this breakthrough wasn’t as intense as going from a mortal to a peony-tier.

It felt like a smooth transition, the body undergoing a subtle but powerful strengthening.

With a physique of ten, his physical strength increased dramatically.

Previously during battles, after a few full-force hits, he’d be gasping for breath and unable to recover quickly,

leading to hesitance and restraint.

Now, with enhanced physical endurance, he could fight with full force.

This also impacted one thing: he could maintain his maximum damage potential.

Delivering full-power hits continuously regardless of hitting or missing, as he can now endure such consumption.

The extent of the upper limit is yet to be discovered.

In any case, compared to those peony-tier early-stage martial artists who get tired after a few full-powered moves and can’t continue fighting, Fang Yu was far ahead.

This is probably a kind of dimensionality reduction attack that a mid-level Flower Realm martial artist has over an early-stage one.

After advancing in realm, changes in his body made Fang Yu realize the importance of physique.

It’s not just about boosting health; it’s about genuinely enhancing overall strength.

Fang Yu felt confident that, with his understanding of the attribute of physique, he was likely leading all players across the server!

After all, in the game aspect of martial arts, who could have gone further than him?

Feeling the advantages of being in the mid-level Flower Realm.

Fang Yu realized how one-sided his previous self had been.

No matter how many martial arts one knows, without sufficient physical strength one is doomed to be exhausted to death by others.

Conversely, if one’s physique is strong but martial arts skills are weak, one will be suppressed and beaten without the ability to fight back.

Only by advancing both aspects together can one grow well-rounded.

Fang Yu had a realization.

He opened his character panel.

[Name: Diao Deyi.]

[Level: Mid Flower Stage.]

[Demon Bloodline: Green Demon Blood [Summer Tier, Early Stage].]

[Health: 710/710.]

[Physique: 11.]+

[Spirit: 2.7.]+

[Human Level Skill: Digital Life.]

[Flower Level Skills: Yuan Body Twin Zero Sword [Slightly Accomplished (6/300)]+, Yuan Body Solid Foundation Technique [Mid Flower Stage (4/2000)]+, Yuan Body Phantom White Kick [Just Starting (1/100)+].]

[Attribute Points: 2.]

[Experience Points: 60/100.]

At first glance, the panel seems almost unchanged, but in reality, the improvement is massive.

According to Yuan Hongxin’s words,

to progress from the Mid Flower Stage to the High Flower Stage, one must mindlessly increase physique to the limit.

Then focus on Martial Arts.

For promotion from the early stages of the Flower Level, one needs to master 3 early-stage Flower Level martial arts or 1 mid-stage Flower Level martial arts.

For promotion from the middle stage of Flower Level, one needs 5 mid-stage Flower Level martial arts or 2 high-stage Flower Level martial arts.

After thinking it over,

mid-stage Martial Arts seem far off, but 2 high-stage Martial Arts seem quite feasible.

Fang Yu spent his attribute points on [Yuan Body Solid Foundation Technique], which required 2 attribute points per increment.

[Attribute points: 2→0.]

[Yuan Body Solid Foundation Technique [Mid Flower Stage]→ Yuan Body Solid Foundation Technique [Mid Flower Stage/Just Starting].]

Fang Yu: ...

Fang Yu: ???

What the heck! Seriously, what the heck!

I knew reaching the high stage of Flower Level wouldn’t be so simple!

Looking at the attribute panel again, the system automatically generated a new list.

[Mid Flower Stage Skills: Yuan Body Solid Foundation Technique [Just Starting (4/2000)]+]

[Early Flower Stage Skills: Yuan Body Twin Zero Sword [Slightly Accomplished (6/300)]+, Yuan Body Phantom White Kick [Just Starting (1/100)+].]

[Attribute Points: 0.]

With the power of Yuan Body Solid Foundation Technique at the mid-stage Flower Level [Just Starting],

Fang Yu felt a unique strength. Just by slightly clenching his fist, he could hear the sound of bones rubbing against each other.

Even mysterious white powder-like particles appeared on his hand.

Trying to throw a couple of shadow punches, the white powder left traces in the air, much like the master fighters in TV dramas, scattering powder as they fought.

”What, what is this? Added special effects?”

Fang Yu felt a mix of amusement and frustration.

At this moment, the evening glow of the setting sun fell on his face.

Only then did he realize the time was late and the martial arts academy was about to close.

This meant... he had to leave the academy.

Fang Yu’s gaze wandered outside.

His lips slightly curled.

Disheveled!

His mouth was going crooked!

”Three demons, I don’t know... if you are still waiting outside for me!”

Clenching his fist, scattering the white powder, Fang Yu stepped out boldly into the twilight glow!

Just as he left the hall, he saw Lin Wu passing by like a wandering ghost, his mood low.

Fang Yu raised his hand to speak, then closed his mouth again.

Poor...

truly poor!

Demons, the three demons waiting outside!

Do you know what you’ve done?

You killed Lin Wu’s uncle, forcing me, a righteous and kind person, to make a decision against my ancestors’ wishes.

Even though in the end, I had to snatch the kill with a Medicine Pill to make this decision,

the blame, without a doubt, should fall upon the three of you demons!

Lin Wu, be at ease.

I, Diao Deyi, will surely take revenge for your uncle!

Fang Yu felt as if an aura of great justice was emanating from him, and in his ears, the background music seemed to be on a loop...

The light of righteousness!

Shining over the land!

”Second Sword to Slay Demons, Furious Slash of Earthly Demons!”
