Invincible from Seeing the BOSS's Health Bar

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Getting Started (3 updates)

```
Damn it all to hell!
```

Fang Yu nodded like pounding garlic.

He wouldn’t dare to eat this stuff if it were offered to him!

And he’d realized another problem.

That was, when such a [Heartburrow demon] is hiding inside a human body, he couldn’t see its health bar until a resonance was provoked.

Only after provoking a resonance one could detect and display the health bar, its ability to hide far surpassing that of ordinary demons.

At the same time, Fang Yu envisioned a terrifying scene.

One day after he entered the academy, he went to the cafeteria to eat with his fellow disciples, and all the [Heartburrow demons] within them resonate together, that scene would be enough to scare someone to death!

Fang Yu shivered, but Shi Zhongmei cheerfully said, ”If that’s the case, I’ll have someone send over some soup medicine.”

After the soup medicine arrived, Fang Yu became hesitant.

”What ingredients make up this soup medicine?”

”How could I possibly tell you the secret recipe of our master?”

”...Does it contain components of demon flesh?”

Shi Zhongmei looked at Fang Yu with suspicion.

”You’re not from the Li Family sent to steal our martial academy’s recipe, are you?”

”No way!”

Fang Yu stirred the soup medicine with his finger, not seeing any abnormalities.

It seemed like the soup medicine was indeed just ordinary soup medicine.

But Fang Yu was still apprehensive.

No helping it, Shi Zhongmei’s bug-infested appearance was too horrifying.

He certainly didn’t want to become like that.

After some thought, Fang Yu looked at Shi Zhongmei.

”Senior Mei, do other martial arts academies also have soup medicine and meatballs?”

Shi Zhongmei said.

”Every martial arts academy has soup medicine; it’s essential for martial artists to build their foundation. To enter the path of martial arts without such aid is extremely difficult.”

”In ancient times, there were few martial artists, mainly because ordinary people found it difficult to step into martial arts without the systematic aid of such soup medicine.”

”Now that martial arts are flourishing, every martial academy has soup medicine, with merely slight differences in the respective formulas.”

It seems that Yuan Family meatballs are the unique feature of your martial academy.

With that, Fang Yu felt considerably more at ease.

Thinking back, after drinking the soup medicine, indeed he hadn’t seen any health bars appear within his body; it should be fine.

Everyone says I have poor aptitude.

Plus, being older and having given my money to Yuan Body Martial Academy.

While not penniless, wanting to join another martial academy is out of the question due to lack of funds.

And once admitted, becoming a disciple of the martial academy, it’s not like anyone can just leave as they please.

All these conditions together mean that for the short term, this is still the best place for Fang Yu.

Either train in martial arts here or waste away ignoring martial arts until the right opportunity to leave the academy.

But that would mean wasting precious time in this world, allowing other players to catch up.

In any case, I can see health bars, so I’ll be vigilant.

As for seeking Li Qianxuan and exposing Yuan Body Martial Academy, without sufficient backing, that’s a suicidal move.

Yuan Body Martial Academy has been in Tianyuan Town for so long without issues, perhaps there are backers above.

Rash actions would be inappropriate.

Regardless, strengthening oneself is the key to standing firm.

In this moment, Fang Yu thought a lot.

After confirming the soup medicine was primarily safe, he drank it all in one gulp.

This was Fang Yu’s third bowl of soup medicine, aside from the free ones.

Worth... 4 days’ worth of meatball ration!

[System Notification: Player has consumed [Yuan Family Soup Medicine], Experience Points +1.]

Eyes closed, sensing.

”...”

Failed.

But, no foreign body sensation, no bugs, no health bars, he could continue.

Fang Yu looked at Shi Zhongmei, or rather made a figure ’eight’ gesture.

The fourth bowl, 8 days’ worth of meatball ration!

Served and consumed.

Eyes closed, savoring carefully.

Failure again, but, he felt the Qi.

Moreover, the speed at which the medicine’s effect was being lost was getting faster.

[System Notification: Player has consumed [Yuan Family Soup Medicine], Experience Points +0.]

No experience points now?

Fang Yu didn’t care much, he was savoring.

Fang Yu roughly understood why some people could never enter the path of martial arts.

Soup medicine could stimulate the body to perceive the Qi from the outside.

But the body can develop a resistance to the medicine.

The more often you take the soup medicine, the shorter the sensing time provided by the medicine becomes, and the chance of stepping into the path of martial arts becomes slimmer.

”Refill.”

”16 Silver Taels, that is, 16 days’ worth of meatball ration.”

”Hmm.”

The fifth bowl, brought over.

Fang Yu gulped it down with ease.

A while passed.

```
```

Opening his eyes.

Failure.

But... just one step away from success!

He could sense Qi, he could guide Qi, it was just the step of Qi entering the body that failed.

Still the same issue, lacking a bit of time.

”Another bowl, I can definitely succeed,” Fang Yu earnestly said.

”Over the limit,” Shi Zhongmei slightly shook her head.

”I’ll give you next month’s meatballs too!”

Shi Zhongmei hesitated, but then Fang Yu continued.

”The meatballs for the next three months are all yours!”

Anyway, he won’t eat them! Absolutely refuses to eat them!

Shi Zhongmei dubious: ”Really? Can you afford the meal expenses?”

Fang Yu smiled and said: ”You know how I started.”

Li Family!

Shi Zhongmei fell silent for a moment.

”Deal.”

”Three months, totaling 180 meatballs, worth 90 Silver Taels. You’ve already spent 28 Silver Taels, the next bowl of soup medicine is valued at 32 Silver Taels.”

The value of the soup medicine here at Shi Zhongmei’s is completely equivalent to that of the martial arts gym.

One bowl more valuable than the next.

The only difference is that here one can use the daily meal supplement meatballs as Silver Taels to exchange for the soup medicine.

It’s just six people each providing a free bowl of soup medicine per month, yet due to this rule, its value has increased by several tens of times.

This is equivalent to competing for business inside Yuan Family Martial Arts Gym, but since Shi Zhongmei was so blatant about it, it naturally means that this behavior is overlooked by turning a blind eye and letting one make a side profit.

Anyway, Fang Yu didn’t eat meatballs, so he was indifferent to this.

The sixth bowl of soup medicine was served.

Fang Yu immediately swallowed it.

Sensing, guiding Qi, entering the body.

All in one breath!

Boom!!

Fang Yu felt a jolt throughout his body.

As if suddenly, like an electric circuit, everything connected together, whole and one, creating a subtle resonance!

The Cultivation Technique, mastered!

[System Notification: Congratulations to the player for learning the Blossom-Level Cultivation Technique ’Solid Foundation Technique’, Experience Points +50.]

[System Notification: Experience Points breakthrough to 100, converted to 1 Attribute Point.]

[System Notification: Congratulations to the player for breaking the shackles, advancing to early stage of Blossom Realm, Physique +0.5, Spirit +0.5.]

Success!

Joy surged in Fang Yu’s heart.

He was confident that this step into the threshold of Martial Arts has put a vast distance between him and 99% of players!

Regardless of whether Yuan Family Martial Arts Gym has any tricks or demon pathways, a good martial arts gym is one that can lead people into Martial Arts!

Opened the attribute panel.

[Name: Diao Deyi.]

[Realm: Early Blossom Realm.]

[Life: 22/22.]

[Physique: 2.2.]+

[Spirit: 1.7.]+

[Skills: Digital Life [Human-Level], Solid Foundation Technique [Blossom-Level/Initial Understanding]+.]

[Attribute Points: 3.]

[Experience Points: 18/100.]

Huge improvement!

Fang Yu was overjoyed.

Couldn’t help but look again.

Then, he suddenly froze.

Because behind [Solid Foundation Technique], there was a plus sign.

Could it be...

Fang Yu clicked on it.

[Attribute Points: 3→2.]

[Solid Foundation Technique [Initial Understanding]→Solid Foundation Technique [Minor Accomplishment].]

A warm flow swept over his entire body, bones creaked, strength seemed to surge once more.

Ah?

Attribute points can be assigned to martial skills??

Fang Yu was stunned.

Looked at the details of the martial skill.

[Skill Name: Solid Foundation Technique.]

[Skill Explanation: Refine the body with primal Qi, enhancing defense and attack comprehensively.]

[Skill Proficiency: Minor Accomplishment [0/300].]

Enhance defense and attack, but not reflected in Physique?

Feels, quite vague.

Fang Yu pondered for a moment, went to the table on the left side of the hall, and threw a punch down.

Bang!!

The table shattered, wood chips flying. Fang Yu, however, revealed a smile.

The once feeble punch, now, packed a powerful force!

If the table had a health bar, the damage dealt now would have been at least 3 points or higher!
