God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 937: Chapter 933: The Incomplete Scabbard

Moreover, whether it was an illusion or not, Xiao Tian always felt that the Demon Blade carried an inexplicable violence, as if its very purpose of existence was to kill!

This situation involuntarily made Xiao Tian think of a word—Demon Soldier!

As the name suggests, Demon Soldier is different from weapons in the usual sense, with power that far exceeds so-called treasured swords and blades, but it’s extremely difficult to control. A slight misstep could result in being overwhelmed by the violent aura of the Demon Soldier, turning one insane and murderous.

Of course, this is only something that exists in legends; Xiao Tian himself had never seen a true Demon Soldier.

However, at this moment, the weapon called the Demon Blade sounded inherently sinister, and coupled with the ferocious and violent aura it emanated, it naturally made people associate it with a Demon Soldier. As to what it really was, it needed further observation.

...

There was not much time to think, as the Demon Blade suddenly dived back after a brief pause, its speed increased compared to before.

Xiao Tian and Fujiwara Daisuke both stood ready, each prepared to counter the Demon Blade’s attack.

However, what neither of them expected was that the Demon Blade seemed to feint, lowering its body before suddenly changing direction, breaking away in a direction completely opposite to the two of them.

”Not good!”

Fujiwara Daisuke immediately showed a horrified expression and quickly explained, ”It’s trying to kill others.”

Xiao Tian realized something was wrong and asked, ”If it kills others, what will happen?”

”If it’s just ordinary people, it doesn’t mean much to it, but the bloodline of our Fujiwara Clan holds special significance to it.”

Fujiwara Daisuke explained gravely, ”If it actually succeeds, we’ll find it even harder to deal with!”

After saying this, Fujiwara Daisuke solemnly added, ”Therefore, I implore you not to hold back. As long as you can help us overcome this crisis, we will surely reward you handsomely afterward!”

As the situation developed to this point, Fujiwara Daisuke no longer suspected that Xiao Tian had any designs on the Demon Blade.

For if Xiao Tian really coveted the Demon Blade, he would surely have some basic knowledge about it beforehand, and things wouldn’t have developed to this stage.

Fujiwara Daisuke was absolutely certain of this!

Of course, Xiao Tian didn’t know what Fujiwara Daisuke was thinking, but he was curious about what kind of reward the other party was referring to.

If Fujiwara Daisuke had said such words before seeing the Demon Blade, Xiao Tian might have scoffed, but now he couldn’t help but feel a bit of anticipation...

The conversation between the two happened in a very short time, and they quickly launched an interception against the Demon Blade one after the other, while also hoping those elders would hurry back.

Although Xiao Tian was confident that he wouldn’t be in any danger of life under the Demon Blade, it was utterly impossible to defeat it and control it.

The only thing they could do was engage in back-and-forth combat, cooperating with Fujiwara Daisuke to harass and disrupt the Demon Blade’s trajectory, buying time.

...

Just as Xiao Tian and Fujiwara Daisuke were almost at their wits’ end, the long-awaited elders finally hurried back one by one, though their expressions carried a rather peculiar air...

Xiao Tian watched closely and saw several elderly figures, each holding strangely shaped metallic objects in their hands. Once they gathered, they began assembling the parts into something resembling a blade sheath.

However, they ultimately lacked the component for the very tip, and after counting heads, it wasn’t surprising that one person was missing.

”What happened?!”

Fujiwara Daisuke looked at the returned elders with a ferocious expression, ignoring all decorum, his anger plain to see.

Soon, someone replied, ”Something happened with your sixth uncle. He said he couldn’t remember where he left the parts and told us to come here to buy some time. Once he finds it, he’ll bring it to us straight away.”

”By the time he gets here, we’d be picking up bodies!” Fujiwara Daisuke retorted angrily, never feeling the family rules left by their ancestors to be so damn frustrating.

In fact, the Fujiwara Clan’s ancestors divided the sheath of the Demon Blade into multiple parts and entrusted them to different people to prevent internal rebellion, ensuring absolute security!

This way, under mutual checks, even if one or two had ill intentions, they wouldn’t dare act out.

And indeed, the generations before did just that, and there’d never been an internal high-level rebellion.

But who could have thought, at the critical moment, something like this would happen?!

In the sky above, it was as if the Demon Blade understood the words below.

The Demon Blade suddenly trembled violently, emitting a sharp sound, and a sense of excitement instantly spread across the field, halting its pursuit of others, pointing its blade toward those below, looking eager to act.

Just as Fujiwara Daisuke was gritting his teeth, ready to order for more time, suddenly an elderly man with completely white hair charged towards their gathering place at a speed defying his age.

Fujiwara Daisuke was immediately overjoyed, disregarding all manners, directly asking, ”Sixth Uncle, did you bring it?”

The elderly man referred to as Sixth Uncle took a deep breath before speaking, ”I remembered, Fujiwara Akita the bastard stole the part from me earlier. I ordered him to return it within three days, but it seems...”

Hearing this, everyone, including Fujiwara Daisuke, couldn’t help showing a contemplative look, quickly realizing... there indeed was such an incident!

But now, even remembering this, what is the use?!

Fujiwara Akita was already dead; who could get anything from a dead man’s mouth?

For a moment, everyone’s expressions turned extremely grim, without the heart to blame Sixth Uncle for negligence, although they couldn’t help but feel uneasy...

Without the sheath’s restraint, could the Demon Blade still be controlled again?

...

In this critical moment, Fujiwara Daisuke steeled his heart, lowered his gaze, and looked at the cold, rusted sheath in his hand, forcing out a few words through clenched teeth: ”No matter what, we must try!”

With that, the Star Staff in his hand suddenly clenched tight. Then, thrusting downwards, he shot into the air, using the Star Staff’s energy to maintain his suspension, holding the sheath pointed towards the Demon Blade.

This usually cautious, reticent Fujiwara Clan’s current Clan Leader revealed his decisiveness and resolve at this critical juncture!

Xiao Tian’s gaze remained firmly locked on the Demon Blade, ensuring that any of its movements were fully captured by his eyes.

Soon after, under Xiao Tian’s intense scrutiny, a reaction from the Demon Blade suddenly emerged...
