Chapter 912: Chapter 908: Giant Creature

No need to think, Xiao Tian could know that these were people from the Water Drop Organization, yet he didn’t find them particularly tricky or difficult.

In this situation, even though Xiao Tian was cornered in the manor by people from the Water Drop Organization, conversely, Adison Claire and Xiang Yiting had more ample time to escape, so stalling a bit longer didn’t really matter.

On the other side, watching Xiao Tian slowly stand up from the ground, the leading man said with a stern face, ”Such audacity, daring to deceive even us, truly don’t know the meaning of the word ’death’.”

Xiao Tian adjusted the round-frame glasses on his nose and said seriously, ”That depends on whether it’s in simplified or traditional characters. Different fonts used in various dynasties have some surprises.”

”However, given the era we find ourselves in, I would think you’re asking about the latest version of simplified characters, so if you follow the stroke order, first it’s a horizontal stroke, then a slant...”

Opposite him, everyone had their mouths wide open, looking dumbfounded, especially the leading man who had just stepped forward to provoke, whose face turned red and white, feeling quite embarrassed.

In the past, as long as they knew he was from the Water Drop Organization, even masters slightly stronger than themselves would somewhat give some face.

Yet today, they encountered such a bizarre oddball, how could he not feel angry?

Watching the small leader whose face alternated between red and white as if performing a Sichuan opera face-change, Xiao Tian couldn’t help but find it amusing. I don’t even care about the organization behind you, why would I care about you little fish and shrimps?

However, Xiao Tian also had no intention of making a big deal out of it. The escape of Adison Claire was already enough to cause chaos and anxiety within the Water Drop Organization, and adding fuel to the fire didn’t have much meaning.

That’s not because Xiao Tian was overconfident in Adison Claire’s abilities, thinking that the Water Drop Organization couldn’t function without her.

It’s just that in past mutant virus research, Adison Claire was involved, and even if adjustments were made in the end, the core aspects inside remained largely unchanged, essentially the same soup with a different name.

In this way, Adison Claire would become a very unstable factor in the eyes of the Water Drop Organization, enough to give them a headache for a while.

...

”As long as you hand over Adison Claire now, we can consider sparing your life, otherwise, stay here forever!”

Faced with this naked threat, Xiao Tian verified his guess, while lightly chuckling scornfully and saying, ”Oh?! I’m rather curious to see how you plan to keep me here.”

While confronting these people head-on, Xiao Tian was also secretly calculating the time, thinking of escaping and leaving them behind when the time was right.

However, after waiting for a long time, no one made a move, which made him feel curious, were these just recruits loafing around instead of putting in real effort?

Yet, based on his understanding of the Water Drop Organization, this possibility was almost nonexistent, their delay very likely meant they were brewing some deadly move.

As Xiao Tian silently raised his vigilance another notch, he saw a glint of fierceness flash in their eyes, and the ferocious grin on their face began to take shape.

Xiao Tian secretly thought something was amiss and quickly dodged, moving smoothly and seamlessly to the side just in case.

And just as he dodged to the side, he was shocked to see an enormous creature, about three meters tall, charging out from where he had been standing.

Standing still, Xiao Tian finally saw the shadow of that enormous creature clearly...

It was a giant creature entirely tea-colored, lacking any human features aside from a humanoid silhouette, and its surface was covered with a layer of dark green viscous substance, dripping onto the ground.

As the mucous from this giant creature’s superficial body fell to the ground, the previously smooth ground quickly developed potholes over half a meter in diameter and five centimeters deep.

In the blink of an eye, the ground around it showed a lunar surface pattern, full of pits and hollows, making people shudder.

Seeing this, Xiao Tian couldn’t help but feel a pang of shock, his expression becoming slightly grave.

This was the first time Xiao Tian encountered an attack without any sensory detection.

Nor did he receive that almost instinctive alertness against danger honed through countless battles.

In fact, to this point, Xiao Tian hadn’t even sensed a hint of danger from the hideous monstrosity, as if they shared no connection, like strangers.

But, the more this was the case, the more unease Xiao Tian felt. If he hadn’t noticed the anomaly in their eyes across from him, his situation might truly be hard to say at this moment.

...

Seemingly very displeased with Xiao Tian avoiding its attack, the gigantic creature, after missing its pounce, made a gesture of anger howling at the sky while pounding its chest with its arms alternately like a gorilla.

Due to the absence of a mouth, naturally no one could hear its roar, but as it pounded its chest forcefully, the mucous on its surface splattered everywhere.

The members of the Water Drop Organization were still surprised that Xiao Tian had dodged the giant creature’s attack.

At this moment, seeing this astounding and terrifying scene unfold, they hurriedly released their Protective True Qi one by one, barely heaving a sigh of relief.

Immediately after dodging the flying mucous, Xiao Tian saw the members of the Water Drop Organization standing still, allowing the mucous to fall on them, then slide off the Protective True Qi without causing any effective harm.

This scene caused Xiao Tian to squint his eyes, then turned his gaze to the wall beside him, which after being tainted by the mucous, was corroded by over a third in an instant, causing him to become puzzled.

Could it be that Protective True Qi can immunize against the mucous damage from that giant monster?

However, before he could think further, he saw the giant monster suddenly charging toward him from not far away.

Xiao Tian did not dare be careless, intensifying the Protective True Qi on himself while picking up a stone-made stool to hurl at it, his feet swiftly beginning to retreat.

Although Xiao Tian had some guesses, he still didn’t dare risk himself to verify them lightly, as there was only one chance. If the Protective True Qi couldn’t withstand the giant monster’s mucous attack, the outcome would be eternal doom!

The next moment, when Xiao Tian saw the stone stool, weighing dozens of kilograms, being hurled and making contact with the giant creature’s surface, the heaviness in his eyes deepened as he had to reassess the situation.

The scene of the stone stool melting like mud encountering water upon touching the giant creature, unable to inflict any harm whatsoever, presented an eerie sight.

Simultaneously, over a dozen members of the Water Drop Organization also began to spread out, completely blocking Xiao Tian’s escape route.
