As I listened to my father, I learned why I had to stay in Japan so long while growing up. ”So thatʼs why...”

”You grew up well with that, and a formation Medea and Frankenstein helped me create,” he said. ”Alongside your aunt and her family, I guess you donʼt remember them. They visited after you were born and helped me bury your mother in a large ritual area. Her body and essence spread everywhere, becoming the heart of the Domain where our territory exists. Even now, your dear mother might be watching over you. Every particle of energy you take from this Domainʼs atmosphere could be from her.”

”I-I had no idea...” I felt moved, my hands trembling as I looked at them.

Tears fell into my hands.

I moved my seat next to my father and hugged him.

Despite our differences, he had done so much for me...

Fighting gods and enormous clans to find the perfect place for me, a sickly child, to grow up healthy and strong.

As someone reborn as a Caterpillar with no family, having one and experiencing a fatherʼs true love was... truly wonderful.

”Haha, donʼt cry, my dear daughter. Whatʼs gotten into you lately? You cry a lot now,” he smiled gently, petting my head.

”I...”

For a moment, I considered revealing the truth—that I remembered my memories from another world and had merged with another me from another world.

But this world had restrictions. Speaking of such a past life would increase assimilation too much.

I might forget my other life and family, which I couldnʼt allow.

So, for now, I had to endure until we found the key.

”Itʼs nothing. Maybe it comes with growing up,” I said. ”I was too spoiled and cheeky before, right? Iʼve been thinking a lot about many things lately. Maybe practicing Martial Arts does that.”

”Hmm, youʼre right,” he nodded. ”You also went through that awful experience with the Sun God... I suppose itʼs just me.” He caressed my face gently.

”Huh?”

”Itʼs hard for me to accept my dear princess is growing up,” he laughed softly. ”Seeing you become an adult... after all this time, itʼs wonderful but also... really sad.”

”Father... Donʼt worry. Iʼll always be there for you too! Even when I build my own life, Iʼll never forget who my father is,” I said. ”After all, I promised to share eternity with you. That was my motherʼs gift to you.”

”Hah...” he laughed quietly. ”If you donʼt want to, you donʼt have to... donʼt feel forced to keep your motherʼs promise.”

”No, itʼs fine,” I said. ”Itʼs really... fine. I will do it. And... hm, maybe one day I could find you someone else!”

”W-What?” His face reddened. ”K-Kireina... I promised your mother I would never love anyone else!”

Yeah, but when I found my first mother, Mama Chaos...

I bet sheʼll be really lonely!

I want her to find a husband too, and thereʼs no one better than Dad, Papa Chaos.

”I respect that, and I wonʼt force you. Itʼs up to you,” I nodded. ”Anyway, these pancakes are delicious! Thanks for making them, Araña!”

”A-Ah, young lady... thank you... hehe,” Araña hid behind the dining hall door, giggling cutely.

”Anyway! Itʼs about time, right?” I asked. ”I should get to school. Itʼs fun, even if it seems dull to you, Dad. Maybe thatʼs just a human thing.”

”Hmm, maybe it is,” he nodded. ”Iʼve tried my hardest to be as human as I can, to be a proper father for you, my dear. Am I doing a good job? I always wonder that... whenever I doubt my own identity.”

”You are,” I hugged him tightly. ”Youʼre an amazing father, and I couldnʼt have asked for better! Keep doing what you do best. I love you!”

”K-Kireina... Uuooohh!” My father couldnʼt hold back, crying as his flames turned pink and purple, hugging me tightly. ”My cute little daughter! I love you so much! Your father will always have your back!”

”H-Hehe, okay, Dad— Ack! Let me go! Iʼll be late for school!” I cried, but he held on, crying black miasma all over my uniform.

After a minute, he let go. Araña handed him a handkerchief, which he turned black with his miasma mucus.

”Geez, if I didnʼt have cleansing spells, the young lady couldnʼt go to school today. My lord, please be more careful!” Ismena reprimanded my father, a first.

”Hahah, Iʼm deeply sorry, sniff...” he laughed awkwardly. ”Should I accompany you to school, dear? Itʼll be faster!”

”Eh? Sure!” I nodded.

”Alright, letʼs go!” my father said.

He held my hand, and as I said goodbye to my maids, we teleported through a wormhole across space and time.

FLUOSH!

”Woah! Whatʼs this technique?!”

”Itʼs called a Dimensional Chaos Gate! After you cultivate more of the Arcane Path, youʼll discover these abilities.”

Now that I thought about it, this was the same technique he used to teleport the entire organization easily.

TRUUUM!

We landed on the rooftop of a random house and jumped down to the street. My father looked around, inhaling the fresh air.

We were in one of Tokyoʼs many urban areas, with houses, small convenience stores (owned by our company), and more all around.

”How long until classes begin, dear?” he asked.

”About ten minutes,” I said.

”Shall we buy snacks for your lunch?” he asked.

”Hahaha, Iʼm not a kid anymore... but sure!” I laughed.

We walked to the convenience store. The owner, an average middle-aged Japanese man with a small mustache, glanced at us in surprise, likely at our fancy clothes.

To me, my father looked like always, but to those without magical perception, he created an illusion of a human face.

This face appeared different to everyone.

It was one of his tricks to avoid detection unless someone was strong enough to recognize his Aura.

Naturally, the owner knew which company owned this store.

”Hello, young man. Iʼm the CEO of Gate Corporation,” my father said, showing a card.

”E-Eh? Huh?!” the man gasped. ”B-Boss?!”
