After hearing about ancient intelligent dinosaurs with psychic powers, I couldnʼt help but want to visit Brazil and meet them, which I ended up saying out loud.

”You wish to visit Brazil, young lady? Haha! Well, perhaps one day we can travel the world together with your father. Exploring the world and all its wonders should be an obligation for someone of your caliber,” the doctor said. ”Now, letʼs return to the topic, shall we? Alchemy was created as humanityʼs struggle against nature, developed by those not blessed with special abilities. It was our way to seize what nature denied us. Just because we were born as a species not naturally attuned to Mana and other supernatural energies doesnʼt mean we must sit and await our deaths, right? Thereʼs a reason humans are the dominant species in this world.”

”...” I fell silent, listening attentively, but I noticed a hint of malice in his words.

”Humans are weak, soft, and usually lack talent for magic, but we excel at crafting and creating,” Frankenstein explained. ”We reproduce quickly, and we can run just fast enough to escape most predators. We work together and possess remarkable relentlessness, right?”

”I... guess so,” I nodded.

”Although the strongest families in this world all have some bloodline tied to ancient mythical species or beasts, theyʼre still fundamentally human,” he said. ”Even the family you come from consists of human hybrids.”

”Yeah,” I nodded.

”Do you want to know how that happened when the odds were against us from the start, with all other intelligent species existing before us?” he asked. ”Well, it was thanks to Alchemy. Through Alchemy, humanity gained such an incredible advantage that we could trample over everything else. The world before our modern era was far more chaotic. Mana was so abundant and concentrated that it decayed into Miasma, warping space and creating a much larger world than the one you know today, where entities of immense power—Ancient Gods, Divine Spirits, and Immortal Beasts—governed.”

”I see, so thatʼs why monsters were so common back then compared to today,” I nodded.

”And thereʼs more. At some point, when the planet was overwhelmed with Miasma and monsters, the... well, the Will of the Planet itself ʼawokeʼ and decided to cleanse herself,” Frankenstein said.

”...?!” I was astounded.

”Everyone calls the world by a different name,” he continued.

”We humans refer to her as Gaia, Mother of Life. She is, quite literally, the Soul of this planet. Due to all the supernatural energies, the planet developed a Magical and Spiritual Planetary Core, which formed a Soul that gained personality and intelligence.

Noticing how her surface was becoming increasingly burdened with warped space, Miasma, and magical monsters and landscapes, she decided to cleanse everything.

This is how Domains were created. Over a thousand years, starting around the Medieval Ages, large areas of our world were instantly enclosed in Domains. Those with great power were suddenly trapped within Domains whenever they used excessive magical power.

This was a warning. The world would no longer tolerate us trampling over it and destroying it as we pleased. She created Domains, and some Domains merged to form Realms.

Divine Beings and monsters were constantly encased in these parallel spaces, reducing the great size of our world and hiding all supernatural elements from those unable to perceive them.”

”So thatʼs why!” I nodded. ”Thatʼs why everything is the way it is in this world...”

”Indeed,” he nodded. ”Iʼm quite surprised. Did your father never explain how our world came to be?”

”No, he didnʼt seem to care,” I said. ”But when did he descend to this world?”

”Around prehistory, when Domains didnʼt exist. He was the reason dinosaurs went largely extinct... along with many other ancient magical beings,” he explained.

”...What?” I was confused.

”Oh, so heʼs kept many secrets... well! I donʼt think this is too big a matter, but your father was the meteor that fell from the sky and caused that catastrophe,” Frankenstein smiled. ”He arrived in this world within a crystallized meteor, triggering an immense extinction event. He fed upon all the life he killed and remained dormant for a long time before finally awakening when humans began roaming the world. Since then, he has done whatever he wanted and was often known as a God of Chaos and Destruction, feared by all cultures and races.”

”...”

Honestly, I couldnʼt believe it.

My mouth hung wide open!

My dad was the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs?!

Seriously?!

Damn...

”Isnʼt that incredible, young lady?” Frankenstein giggled. ”Youʼre the descendant of such a great being! An Alien God from outer space with immense power! Unparalleled!”

”A-Ah, yeah,” I nodded. ”Well, is he? I mean, there are many gods still alive, and heʼs always wary of them...”

”The gods who have survived into this era have proven to be among the hardiest and strongest,” Frankenstein said. ”So, indeed, your father is wary of them, especially because they excel at working together, something most ancient gods werenʼt adept at.”

”Did... Did my father kill Gods? How many?” I asked curiously.

”Haha, some questions are better left unanswered,” Frankenstein laughed. ”Now that weʼve covered these basics, I want to address something about Alchemy and its deep connection to Cultivation.”

”Cultivation?” I asked.

”Yes, Alchemy and Cultivation have always been closely intertwined, more so than Alchemy and the Arcane Path,” he said. ”With Alchemy, you use the worldʼs elements to create new things to benefit yourself. Cultivation is like self-alchemy, where one uses the worldʼs elements to evolve beyond normal human limits.”

”How related are they?” I asked.

”Well, both Alchemy and Cultivation deal with the Five Elements. To cultivate effectively and avoid dying of old age without achieving anything, Cultivators use Alchemy to refine pills, elixirs, and other special magical objects to boost their Cultivation speed,” he explained. ”Of course, ʼCultivationʼ as a term is mostly used in Asian countries. Elsewhere, it goes by different names, with unique methods developed by various cultures, tribes, and nations to absorb the worldʼs essence and enhance themselves while also understanding the world, communing with the stars, the earth, the spirits, and so on. Thereʼs no single ʼtrue wayʼ of Cultivation, but countless methods created by diverse cultures, families, tribes, and countries.”

”Itʼs like Magic, then?” I wondered.

”Yes, and Martial Arts,” he said. ”This is why Martial Arts, Cultivation, and Arcane Arts are often called the ʼThree Blessings.ʼ They werenʼt created by a single culture but were convergently discovered by countless cultures throughout history.”

”Did species other than humans discover Cultivation or Martial Arts?” I asked.
