He did not expect that the forging would fail.

Could it be that Deaths Descent could not be forged with normal Strengthening Stones?

Li Yi took out his shield and started forging.

After the forging was done. He also checked the shield’s interface

[Equipment: Thunder Square Shield +1]

[Quality: Perfect]

[HP: 300 +200]

[Attribute Enhancement: Block damage reduced by 60% +5%]

[Perfect Skill: Protection is a passive skill. Based on the maximum HP of the user, the user receives 30% of the shield value. After 30 seconds of not being attacked, the shield will be refreshed!]

[Equipment Condition: Level 10]

Due to the low level of the shield, it was impossible for the shield to have a strong strengthening effect. This was only level a 10 equipment. If one wanted to have a high strengthening effect, they would have to use Strengthening Stones to continuously strengthen it, the higher the level of the strengthening, the higher the chance of failure.

However, the strengthening of the shield was successful this time.

Li Yi took out the armor that he had just obtained and strengthened it.

[Equipment: Heroic Spirit Armor +1]

[Rarity: Perfect]

[Physical Defense: 49 +5]

[Magic Defense: 40 +5]

[Attribute Enhancement: Vitality 25 +2]

[Perfect Skill: Heroic Spirit’s Blessing is a passive skill. When your HP is below 10%, you can recover up to 10% of your maximum HP.]

[Equipment Condition: Level 20]

He had succeeded in upgrading this item as well.

After testing it out with his other equipment, he was certain that Deaths Descent could not be strengthened by ordinary Strengthening Stones.

After learning about this situation, Li Yi became very depressed. He thought that he could activate the second stage of Deaths Descent through the Strengthening Stones. However, it seemed that it was impossible now.

If the Strengthening Stone was not possible, then what kind of materials or conditions would be needed to activate the second stage of Deaths Descent?

Li Yi had never encountered this before in the Demonic Domain. This problem was completely a blind spot for him now, which gave him a headache.

If he could not find the way to advance this weapon, then it would be useless in the later stages. Moreover, Deaths Descent could not be discarded. It would forever consume Li Yi’s HP while in his backpack.

This was not what Li Yi had planned. Such an outcome was really too pathetic.

To be honest, Li Yi liked Deaths Descent very much. He enjoyed battling monsters with this weapon. It was something that other weapons could not give him.

Li Yi could not bear to lose out on such a wonderful weapon.

After pondering for a while, he looked at the time and saw that it was almost 10 in the morning.

“Forget it, there will always be a way out.” Li Yi said. He could only put this matter aside for now and try again in the future.

In any case, the attributes of Deaths Descent were enough for Li Yi to still use it until level 30. The only thing he could do now was to comfort himself on the loss.

After Li Yi finished equipping his equipment again, he left Emperor City. Right now, he was only one level away from level 25. The most important thing was to level up to level 25.

Once he reached level 25, he would attempt to challenge the nightmare difficulty dungeon and obtain more Strengthening Stones.

With Strengthening Stones, even if his magic weapon would not work on it, his other equipment will. Since he had learned how to forge now, he could raise the level of these perfect-grade equipment to the highest level.

Even if he did not need them later, he could sell them for a good price.

Once he had determined his target, he would start to take action.

This was Li Yi’s advantage.

Li Yi carried the magic weapon that had not been strengthened and found a good place to grind.

The Barren Plains.

The monsters here were all level 25 and above. For Li Yi, it was the best place to grind EXP.

[Level 26 Desert Sandworm (normal)]

[HP: 15,000]

[Physical Attack: 550]

[Physical Defense: 140]

[Magic Defense: 120]

This was a wild monster from the Barren Plains. This level was too high to battle for most players at the moment. Moreover, it was still early in the morning, so there was basically no one who came back to farm monsters.

This was good news for Li Yi. He could use this place to increase his EXP without any disturbances.

After Li Yi selected his target, he raised his shield with one hand and his greatsword with the other and shot at the bug monster.

“Charge!”

“-12,031! Critical Hit!”

The monster was caught off guard and was knocked to the ground. The sand on the ground was blown away when it got pushed back.

“Take another hit from my sword!”

“-5,433!”

[System Notification: You have killed a Level 26 Desert Sandworm (normal). Obtained 12,080 EXP.]

[Talent Trigger: Obtained 140 HP, 0.14 HP recovery/second]

Li Yi finished off the monster in front of him with ease.

The surrounding sand and dust attracted the attention of the other bug monsters.

They were originally relaxed, but when they realized that their companion had been killed by an armored man, they were instantly filled with anger.

A group of insect monsters immediately rushed towards Li Yi.

The insect monsters drilled into the sand and disappeared without a trace.

Li Yi’s eyes were focused on the ground around him. There was a long protruding mark on the ground around him that was approaching him.

He held his breath and looked around, waiting for an opportunity to strike. In the next moment, four fat insect monsters suddenly appeared around Li Yi’s feet. They opened their big mouths and were ready to swallow Li Yi alive.

Li Yi smiled slightly.

“Raging Blood Roar!”

“-14,523!”

“-14,503!”

“-14,210!”

“-14,158!”

Li Yi’s body was filled with adrenaline and energy. In an instant, those insect monsters that tried to get close to him were sent flying.

He would not give these insect monsters a chance to escape. Before the insect monsters got up, Li Yi had already killed them one by one and pierced them with Deaths Descent.

…

After a while, the sun began to rise to the top of Li Yi’s head.

The dazzling sunlight shone on Li Yi’s armor, and the scorching temperature baked Li Yi’s body.

Unknowingly, Li Yi’s experience bar had already reached one-third of its way to the next level.

At this speed, if he wanted to reach level 25, he only needed one day to reach his goal.

Li Yi looked at Deaths Descent in his hand. The aura menacingly enveloped Deaths Descent, ready for another kill.

Li Yi really did not want to get rid of this weapon if he could not upgrade it.

Looking at the demonic aura on Deaths Descent, Li Yi suddenly had a bold idea.

Back then, when Deaths Descent was stuck on the altar and absorbing the demonic aura around the altar, could it be that only the demonic aura could make Deaths Descent become stronger.

At first, Li Yi only thought that Deaths Descent was the key to the entrance of the demonic world, but after pulling it out, he realized that it was not the case.

Then… What was the significance of Deaths Descent?

Up until now, Li Yi did not know anything about the demon world. He only knew that it was an existence that opposed the deity world.

However, he still did not understand the weapon in his hand. If there was a chance, he should find some demonized soldiers to try it out.

After thinking about it, Li Yi raised his weapon and went to farm more monsters again.
