Reborn As Noble

Chapter 928: Plans and Realizations ( 928 )

Javier and Felicia’s lips were still pressed together, Felicia completely lost in the sensation, her whole body trembling in nervous delight.

”Nya!? Onee-sama is kissing husband-sama!?” Mimi’s voice rang out as she bounded in, arms full of shopping bags. Her eyes widened at the scene. ”Nya! Me too!”

She tossed the bags aside and pounced directly onto Javier, breaking his kiss with Felicia as she landed right on his lap.

”Nya~! Chuuuuuu!” Mimi leaned in and planted her lips on his without hesitation, her tail swishing happily as she kissed him.

Delya hurried in after her, struggling with several heavy bags stuffed with all the things Mimi had bought. She froze in the doorway, eyes going wide at the sight.

”Mimi!!! Why are you...Danna-sama~ me too!” Delya’s dreamy smile returned as she rushed over, her arms still full, cheeks flushed as she gazed at Javier, waiting for her own turn.

The commotion from the living room echoed through the kitchen, but Gloria just gave a knowing, sidelong glance at Liana, a smirk tugging at her lips.

”Ara~ someone’s gotten bold after her first night,” Gloria teased, rolling her eyes with amusement. ”Now she can’t get enough of our young master~”

Liana simply smiled, her movements graceful as always. ”Well, isn’t it our duty as wives to fulfill our husband’s needs? We all agreed to that, Gloria.”

”Yes~ but it’s hardly fair for only ’one girl’ to enjoy herself while the rest of us are left waiting,” Gloria said pointedly, gesturing to herself with a faint, dramatic sigh. ”Some of us are still waiting for our first night, you know.”

Liana just shook her head, her expression gentle but knowing. ”Then go claim your turn, Gloria. Once young master’s claimed each of us, we can finally start the schedule we set together.”

Gloria stopped slicing vegetables mid-motion, her mood shifting fast as she set the knife down with a quiet clack.

”Mou! I also want it too, but young master said only after we all go back to Armand. He said everyone should have a different way of sweet moment,” she muttered, puffing her cheeks and chopping a little faster.

Liana just smiled, taking her time as she rinsed and arranged fresh greens.

”Yes... I do believe young master wants our time to feel special, different from each other. But you have to understand, Gloria. Since he had his moment with me, I’m sure he’s also holding back his needs. You know how men are when it comes to desire.”

Gloria let out a low sigh. ”Yes, but still... he shouldn’t hold back just because he wants everything to feel special.”

Liana’s voice was gentle, but steady. ”Now, now, Gloria... Let’s just finish this cooking fast before someone in the living room gets her moment before you do.”

Gloria dropped the knife and strode out to the living room, catching sight of Mimi and Delya taking turns kissing Javier on the couch.

She grabbed both girls by the collar, ignoring their protests.

”Nya!!! I want to be with husband!”

Delya just looked dreamy, while Felicia, seeing Gloria’s dangerous glare, stood up at once and hurried after them.

Once inside the kitchen, Gloria didn’t let go.

”Just because you three are princesses from other nations doesn’t mean you shouldn’t learn to cook for our husband. Everyone helps tonight. No one leaves until you know how to at least make something edible.”

Liana watched them all, calm and gentle as ever. She handed Felicia an apron, passed the vegetables to Delya, and nudged Mimi toward the sink. ”Wash up first, Mimi. Delya, start cutting those carrots. Felicia, help Gloria with the meat.”

Mimi puffed her cheeks but did as she was told, shooting one last longing glance at the living room where Javier was left alone on the couch.

After the cooking.

Javier sat at the head of the table, mana glasses still perched on his face as he watched the latest updates flicker across the screen.

”Looks like everyone already arrived safely in Armand... The escort went off without a hitch,”

Liana appeared beside him, setting the final dish down. ”Young master, we’re about to eat. Please stop working and put the glasses away.”

He glanced up, smirking. ”Yeah, yeah...” He slipped the glasses off and set them aside.

Everyone had taken their seats. Liana ladled out the meat soup for Javier. Gloria scooped a bowl of rice and set it by his hand, then shot the rest of the girls a cool look. ”Help yourselves. I’m only serving for our Husband.”

Mimi narrowed her eyes, lips puckering in a silent pout as she reached for the rice bowl. The others followed, scooping and passing food, a casual mix of rivalry and routine in their motions.

Javier chuckled softly.

He glanced around the table at all the girls. ”Alright, everyone... let’s eat.”

”Itadakimasu!”

He clapped his hands together, then picked up his chopsticks. Liana, already anticipating him, placed a piece of roasted meat right on top of his rice.

”Thank you, Liana,” he said, smiling as he dug in.

While eating, Javier’s mind kept spinning.

Where did I see that man? And why would Father insist on capturing him if he’s supposed to be a guest?

His thoughts were broken by Liana, who gently added another piece of meat to his bowl. ”Young master? What’s on your mind?”

”Nothing... Just thinking. I feel like I’ve seen that man before.”

Gloria looked up from her food, curious. ”Which one, young master?”

Javier set his chopsticks down. ”The man Hesbeirn captured. The one Father called a ’guest’, but then insisted on having him detained. It doesn’t make sense.”

Liana smiled, understanding in her eyes. ”You mean the Keeper of Royal and Noble Law who was at the royal council before?”

Javier almost choked on his rice. He coughed, eyes wide, staring at Liana. ”Who!?”

Liana tilted her head. ”The man and his family, right? The ones who arrived in Arjam and were detained by Hesbeirn today?”

”Yes! Who was it!?” Javier demanded, his heart racing.

”The Keeper of Law. The Human Kingdom’s Keeper of Law. You saw him at the royal council before right? The day Princess Kliatana was stripped of her title, and Gilmon and Jarman were relieved from duty.”

Javier dropped his bowl, panic seizing him. ”Damn! That means they’re not really being detained. This was Father’s plan all along!” He stood abruptly, pacing back and forth, hands clenching his hair.

”This means... what I’ve been dreading is happening. Gihhh!”

Gloria and Liana exchanged glances. Gloria’s voice was gentle but worried. ”What do you mean, young master?”

Javier’s expression twisted with realization. ”The stripping of Father’s rank and title! Shit, shit, shit! That means Father’s plan to gain full independence for the Armand Region is happening! I should have seen this coming! Gihhh!”

He dropped to a squat, grabbing his head, eyes wide with disbelief as the pieces clicked together at last.
