A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 795: Chapter 792: Irresistible (6)

”Everyone, stay calm! We have gathered 3,722 wizards from the Academy here. The Source of Magic Power provides ample support, and the Defense Shield of the Sorcerer’s Tower will be our perfect barrier!”

Atop the Forging Hammer Sorcerer Tower, the President of the Academy, overseeing the phantom of the giant hammer of the magic source, roared.

A monstrous giant approached step by step outside the Sorcerer’s Tower. Each time information about it came in these days, it caused a surge of unrest within the Academy. Because of this, the Academy held three meetings of wizards to discuss how to respond. During this time, the Stigmata Sorcerer of the Forging Hammer personally communicated with several Presidents, demanding the protection of the Sorcerer’s Tower’s Source of Magic Power.

As a wizard who once survived the assault on the Superconductive Light Sorcerer Tower, having witnessed the power of the final Guardian of the Academy, President Ginders spoke with bitterness.

Alongside President Ginders atop the tower, on the ground wielding the Academy’s inherited sorcery instrument, the Eight-Flame Fan, stood Dean Winnie, also murmuring lowly.

”The Defense Shield is well-supported by the ample Source of Magic Power. Over these days, the Academy has made extensive preparations, successively setting up the Anti-Guidance Magnetic Field Domain, Multi-Layered Repair Prohibition, Rebound Breakthrough Prohibition...”

Crash, crash, crash...

More than ten General Ant Level Mechanical Puppets flew out from inside the Sorcerer’s Tower.

The rules of the Wizard World Holy Towers stipulated that Stigmata Sorcerers must not provide direct assistance beyond that of the Academy Guardians to the Wizard Academy, and even for the Academy Guardians, specific rules had to be followed.

These dozen General Ant Level Mechanical Puppets were all developed by the Forging Hammer Sorcerer Academy, stored as the Academy’s hidden reserves.

...

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...

With every step taken, a vibration ripple spread outwards on the ground. The fifty-meter Barbarian Giant Sun Chaser exuded an aura of terrifying strength, with the ground under its feet causing the stones of the Forging Hammer Academy to fracture and spread.

As if swatting away flies.

The hundred-meter Abyssal Magic Wand swung in the Barbarian Giant’s hand, sweeping over with a Gravity Domain and extreme cold, causing the aircraft hovering in the sky and trying to block the giant’s path to fall one by one.

”Young master, they plan to hold out to the end, hiding inside and not coming out.”

High in the sky on the back of the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird, Xiao Ba looked at the Arcane Wizards inside the Defense Shield, shouting.

”Then let’s go in!”

From small steps to a wild sprint, the earth ”boom,” ”boom,” ”boom,” ”boom” shook violently as the Barbarian Giant took a fierce leap, with a thunderous crash as the extreme abyss magic staff came down from the sky.

”Ah! It’s up there...”

”Quick! Fight back quickly...”

”Stay calm! Don’t panic, the Source of Magic Power is abundant...”

The Defense Shield established by the several hundred meters tall Forging Hammer Sorcerer Academy was turned face down onto the ground. Yet now, there was a colossal shadow hovering over the top of the Defense Shield at the tower’s peak. Though the strike from the abyssal magic staff did not shatter the Defense Shield in one blow, it did cause unimaginable psychological shock to the Arcane Wizards within.

The next moment, under the organization of several Academy Presidents, a dizzying retaliatory storm from the Academy Arcane Wizards began.

Wave after wave of dense attacks penetrated the Defense Shield, landing on the Barbarian Giant. The giant could not threaten the interior of the Defense Shield, while the Arcane Wizards within could attack the outside without hindrance.

At the tower’s top of the Forging Hammer Sorcerer Tower, President Ginders clenched his jaw, raised his magic wand, and controlled the towering phantom of the Source of Magic Power Giant Hammer, smashing into the sky, ”bang,” directly hitting the Barbarian Giant’s body covered with bone spikes!

Dean Winnie grasped the Eight-Flame Fan and, with an elemental blink, appeared at the top layer inside the Defense Shield. All her magic power was infused into the fan, and in an instant, rich fire elements gathered from all directions.

Dense elemental clouds whirled around the Witch’s body, and with one vigorous wave of the fan, the eight-colored flames came down hard.

Chirp!

The Fire Phoenix cried, and a massive Fire Phoenix over twenty meters long, imbued with the power of the eight flames, was born. The intense heat caused the surrounding air to distort as it spread its wings, lunging towards the shadowy outline of the Barbarian Giant outside the Sorcerer’s Cloak.

The three Mechanical Grand Sorcerer Presidents appeared in various forms.

One spread out, turning into a Mech Heart rising twenty meters high, soaring into the sky, with the giant Light Sword stabbing out through the Defense Shield, possessing apparently strong cutting ability.

Another Mechanical Grand Sorcerer, half-mechanical and half-flesh, had a mechanical arm transforming with ”click,” ”click” movements, evolving into a Multi-Barreled Mechanical Cannon, unleashing high-frequency energy bullets, releasing thousands of attack instances in an instant!

The last one led over a dozen General Ant Level Mechanical Puppets into an assault...

”Hoo...”

A massive wave of attacks inflicted a terrible energy fluctuation upon the Barbarian Giant’s body, causing its enormous form to uncontrollably fly backward over a thousand meters, ”boom,” crashing into the ground, forming a giant pit nearly a hundred meters deep and wide, splitting the land open.

Under the onslaught of various attacks, its insides churning, the Barbarian Giant momentarily felt its body stiffen, finding it difficult to stand again.

”Oh no, young master, are you all right?”

The Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird landed beside Green, and Xiao Ba asked in fright.

Shaking its dizzy head, the Barbarian Giant Sun Chaser’s sunken eyes flashed coldly beneath its prominent brow bones. Light and darkness intertwined, and the Arc of Oblivion flickered for a moment, erasing a wizard who came to check on Green’s condition.

Boom, boom!

Supporting itself on the ground, the Barbarian Giant wielded its extreme abyss magic staff with both hands, standing up once more, gazing up at the nearly thousand-meter-tall Forging Hammer Sorcerer Tower. Staring at the thoroughly restored giant Defense Shield, it was momentarily at a loss on how to proceed.

”Relying on brute force alone to break through the Source of Magic Power and so many Arcane Wizards’ defenses, even this body feels too strenuous, unless... I unleash the self-seal that has been accumulating for over two hundred years and has yet to be released!”

The Barbarian Giant Sun Chaser’s body had numerous bone spikes fractured, and blood seeped from the vulnerable areas between the bone armor and scales. The blood dripped down, corroding the forged stone of the ground.

”However...”

Using a Dimensional Gap, the Barbarian Giant suddenly held an oil lamp in hand, the very Infinity Beacon that Green had obtained in the Ancient Abyssal Sealed Space!

While adjusting to the physical discomfort with persistent coughing, the Barbarian Giant, full of anticipation in its eyes, boldly charged towards the Forging Hammer Sorcerer Academy once more. From small steps to a wild sprint, amid the earth’s ”boom,” ”boom,” ”boom,” ”boom” vibrational tremors, it made another fierce leap from the sky.

However, this time, a tiny oil lamp’s wick flame appeared at the tip of the extreme abyss’s magic staff, a blue flame as negligible as a soybean, yet...

”It’s coming again, don’t panic, everyone follow orders.”

”Accumulate magic, wait for this monster to fall before attacking...”

”The Source of Magic Power has abundant reserves. We just need to continue holding out, and the great Stigmata Sorcerer of the Forging Hammer will surely come up with another solution to resolve this crisis!”

Boom!

Inside the Defense Shield, amid the nervous shouts and roars, another downpour of retaliatory strikes appeared again. Just like last time, the Barbarian Giant was once again blasted outwards by massive attacks, flying backward.

”Quickly rally the Source of Magic Power to supplement the Defense Shield’s energy. We have plenty of time, it... Ah! What is that!?”

Atop the Defense Shield, a tiny blue flame burned quietly above it, extending wave after wave of light, slowly piercing through the layer that even the Barbarian Giant Sun Chaser could not break through with brute force.

A ten-meter-wide gap appeared in the Defense Shield!

However, the Infinity Beacon, although a masterpiece sorcery instrument of the Ancient Wizards, only retained a small portion of its power due to the passage of time, and its current capability could only do just that.

The Defense Shield supported by the Sorcerer’s Tower’s Source of Magic Power melted a ten-meter-diameter hole, but that too was its limit.

”No! Quickly... Quickly repair the breach in the Defense Shield, rally all the Source of Magic Power!”

As the breach was rapidly being repaired with ample energy from the Source of Magic Power, visibly shrinking, at the very last moment, as it was about to be completely restored...

Suddenly!

A pair of giant hands clad in bone armor violently tore it open. A huge, grimacing head with exposed fangs desperately forced its way through from outside the Defense Shield. (To be continued.
