A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 774: Chapter 772: Extreme Abyss Magic Staff

Now, over two hundred years have passed, and the three prohibitions of the extreme abyss magic staff’s gravity domain, extreme cold, and forgotten imprint have only the final prohibition of forgotten imprint incomplete.

However, these are not what Green most desperately desires.

The ancient demon transformed by the Faceless Ancestor Demon had once tried to occupy Green’s body as an outer shell to evade the Wizard World’s will and escape it.

During the occupation of the Nameless Ancient Demon, Green evaded possession twice with the Nightmare Wizard’s Undying Body. Yet, with the awakening of ancient genetic memory in his cells, he unexpectedly accessed some memory from the Abyssal World of the Faceless Ancestor Demon. Combined with Green’s opened fourth layer of the wild instinct barbarian giant sun chaser body, it became an instinct of Green.

Among the chaotic and messy memories that Green could not sort out for now, one particular memory caught his strong attention: it was a memory of the Nameless Ancient Demon’s true demon body.

Manifesting the true demon body of the Nameless Ancient Demon is the ultimate product of the Abyssal World’s extensive utilization of abyssal demonic qi. Even within the Abyssal World, only some powerful and ancient Faceless Ancestor Demons can control it; it stands as the apex ability of the Abyssal World.

Activating the true demon body represents a quantum leap in life attribute abilities, bearing no adverse effects. The only requirement is to induce a large amount of abyssal demonic qi to activate the true demon body transformation!

For a human wizard of the Wizard World, attempting to harness the true demon body with a physique untempered by the purest active abyssal demonic qi would undoubtedly be a fool’s dream. Green, having received the memory of the Demon Ancestor’s Finger, clearly knew the difficulty of activating the true demon body transformation. However, just when he had given up, during the production of the extreme abyss magic staff, inspiration suddenly struck, and he thought of a possibility.

Perhaps... if he used the Demon Ancestor’s Arm of the extreme abyss magic staff as a vessel to store abyssal demonic qi and applied some human wizardly compatibility neutralization and filtration, then perhaps he could, in accordance with the inherited abyssal memory, achieve a human wizard’s true demon body transformation!

And it would be a true demon body that could be activated anytime, anywhere.

Of course, relying on the extreme abyss magic staff to initiate the true demon body also has corresponding drawbacks. The abyssal demonic qi stored in the extreme abyss magic staff is ultimately limited. Compared to the enormous abyssal demonic qi consumed in activating the true demon body, the extreme abyss magic staff can support it for only a limited time.

Once the abyssal demonic qi is depleted, the extreme abyss magic staff would need to return to the Wizarding World’s Deep Abyss to absorb enough abyssal demonic qi to activate the true demon body transformation once more.

Once the three magic prohibitions are completed, Green would then have a sufficiently stable container for compatibility neutralization and could attempt to activate the true demon body!

Hence, in addition to its abilities in gravity domain, extreme cold, and forgotten imprint, as well as its incredible magic element and strength amplification, the extreme abyss magic staff’s final ability is to act as a container for abyssal demonic qi to trigger the true demon body.

Once completed, this magic staff would elevate Green to lord over third-level creatures, contending with legendary rare life forms below the Lord of the World level in the Endless World.

Above the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab.

Looking down on this powerful Ascetic Knight, who was strong enough to catch Green’s attention, without a word, the ground beneath the Ascetic Knight suddenly cracked, spreading circle after circle outward. His figure appeared instantly before Green, swinging a giant stone sword at him.

”Hmm? This is indeed a Legendary Knight from the lineage of the 80th floor Dean of Heisuo Tower Sorcerer Academy.”

Staring at the giant stone sword, Green noticed the discrepancy. To his dynamic vision, the surprise attack was nothing remarkable. He casually lifted a finger with his left hand holding the ”Book of Truth.”

Crackle!

A black arc flashed across, pulling in surrounding light. Perceiving the might of this transmutation energy attack, the Ascetic Knight swiftly sidestepped, barely avoiding the arc of Annihilation Force.

Whoosh!

The two figures intersected, and Green, surprisingly, took the initiative with the extreme abyss magic staff. His Face of Truth looked on coldly, and the blue gleam atop the staff clashed with the giant stone sword.

”Hmph...”

The Ascetic Knight smirked inwardly. This Elemental Wizard seemed also to practice body refinement. The staff emitted formidable power but lacked artistic grace in its attacks, starkly contrasting with the agile movements of his giant stone sword. After resisting, he would use the borrowed force to sidestep and spin, then...

”Ah, you...”

Like a glacier mountain descending from the sky, the Ascetic Knight’s giant stone sword was swiftly enveloped in a blue ice crystal amid an unbelievable gravity domain.

At this moment, the Ascetic Knight found even flying difficult. A layer of extreme cold frost formed over the protective rocky layer on his skin, which was instantly shattered by the gravity domain, feeling as though burdened by a thousand pounds, he plummeted into the crater created by the gravity domain on the ground.

Wham! Bang!

Immediately afterward, Green’s twisted and blurred form, adorned with roaming seven-colored runes, seemed to have activated a second layer of the ivory armor of wild instinct. As a bone spike creature, his hand wielding the extreme abyss magic staff turned into a massive hundred-meter entity descending from the sky.

”This...”

The Ascetic Knight, surrounded by dazzling sword flowers, looked up in horror.

Under such an attack, swordsmanship had become an absurd show. In panic and helplessness, he activated a secret technique to greatly increase his explosive foot speed, barely dodging the downward strike of the extreme abyss magic staff.

Boom!

The extreme abyss magic staff struck the ground, covering a hundred-meter area with spreading ice, sealing everything. Then, squeezed and twisted by the gravity field, the frost coalesced into a mass, moving toward the core area of the impact of the extreme abyss magic staff.

Wherever the ice layer spread, the ground sank rapidly. Rocks cracked and exploded into powdery dust as they sunk with the earth’s surface.

With a grim face, the Ascetic Knight was utterly shocked, finding it almost unbelievable.

Was this just a casual strike of his opponent’s power?

With grand, sweeping motions in mid-air, Green swung the staff again, the enormous hundred-meter object sweeping towards the Ascetic Knight. Although he dodged again, merely breaking free from the gravity domain and extreme cold’s attack range left the Ascetic Knight feeling exhausted.

”New Sword Stone Breaking Technique, activate!”

In the air, chanting esoteric sorcery spells, the Ascetic Knight retreated while the giant stone sword shot towards Green with incredible speed. Layer upon layer of power cleaved through space, seemingly consciously avoiding Green’s extreme abyss magic staff’s several attacks before stabbing towards Green himself.

”So this is the reason the old gray stone giant sword wizard of the 80th floor at Heisuo Tower once overpowered Mentor Peranos? It is indeed an interesting sorcery.”

Green stopped trying to block the giant stone sword with his extreme abyss magic staff. Under the Face of Truth, his dynamic vision meticulously grasped every subtle trajectory of the sword, calculating its path.

A fleeting moment, the giant stone sword darted straight towards Green’s face.

Crackle!

Light and shadow intertwined, Green pointed with his left hand holding the ”Book of Truth,” and a black arc shot out, directly hitting the giant stone sword with a ”Boom.” Far off, the Ascetic Knight shrieked, coughing up a mouthful of blood.

The giant stone sword missing half of its length flew back, revealing a dull and fading light and shadow sword heart.

”In three months’ flight, we will reach the edge of the Perseverance Abyss.”

Green landed in front of the Ascetic Knight, yet to speak. With a connection to the soul of the giant stone sword, the Ascetic Knight clutched his chest, answering Green’s previous question.

Though powerful, comparable to the Ghostly Bear Essence, Ironblood Warwolf, and other exiles, in front of Green now, he was nothing more than that.

”Thank you.”

Turning around, Green flew towards the Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab in the sky. Behind him, the Ascetic Knight called out, ”May I ask your name?”

”Gah gah gah, remember well, little one, my master is the Shadow of Despair Green from the Seven-Ring Holy Tower.”

The Thousand-Eyed Giant Crab and the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird continued flying forward. In the distance, a violent sandstorm and harsh abyss weather descended, but the two formidable beings ignored it, plunging straight in. (To be continued.
