Chapter 448: Phagocytic Shell II

Unlike Grimm, the Acraepoid had a terrible underwater vision. It was not until Grimm had approached the whirlpool that he discovered what Grimm was pointing at.

“Argh! Stay away from it!”

Grimm ignored the Acraepoid’s alarming screams. Gradually, he swam closer and closer towards the small Phagocytic Shell and stopped a few meters away from the whirlpool.

“No!” The Acraepoid cried, almost bursting into tears.

“This is the most dangerous Phagocytic Shell, the consequences are unthinkable if you are swallowed! Even the great Acraepoid Warriors dare not approach it! Hurry, we must…”

Ignoring the Acraepoid’s weeping cry, Grimm observed the peculiar whirlpool quietly as if he was undergoing sorcery experimentation.

“It happens without natural energy and the world’s law?”

Grimm did not detect any natural force nor modification from the world’s law. It was not produced by creatures, and it was not similar to the Black Sea Whirlpool in the Sorcerers World.

This phenomenon was unheard of by Grimm. There was certainly no record about this in the Sorcerers Knowledge.

Whirl, whirl, whirl…

The whirlpool seemed to be approaching Grimm but at snail’s pace. Grimm still could not detect any energy or laws in it, as if it was from another foreign world.

Instinctively, Grimm retreated slightly, not letting himself be in any danger.

Indeed, the shape of the whirlpool did look like an open shell. Apart from the whirlpool, there was only calmness in the vast sea. Other than not having any natural creatures, this sea was no different from the law of other seas in this world.

Under the Mask of Truth, Grimm tried activating Perception Sorcery with his dual-colored eyes to no avail. After pondering on the options, he slowly sank to the bottom of the sea.

The whirlpool led directly to the rocks on the seafloor, as if something was hidden in the rocks that generated the whirlpool.

As Grimm observed the situation quietly, suddenly, the shell-shaped whirlpool gradually retracted to the bottom of the sea where Grimm was at and was about to disappear.

“Huh? Where is that Acraepoid? Why is he suddenly so quiet?”

The presence of the Acraepoid suddenly flashed across his mind and he turned to look at him. He had not disappeared, but he was asleep. He was sleeping!

Did the hypnosis not work on him?

Grimm recoiled in surprise. However, as the whirlpool passed by him and slowly disappeared into the seafloor, suddenly, his Sabbatic Goat Staff vibrated ferociously as if it had a strong attraction to the whirlpool.

No…

It’s not the Sabbatic Goat Staff, it’s the Nightmare Shadow that was sealed inside it!

“Argh…”

Grimm would not give up the staff so easily. It was Grimm’s valuable asset as an official sorcerer, so no matter what, he would not let it go.

Grimm struggled and growled desperately. He generated the Level 1 Wild Instinct, a large number of black scales spontaneously appeared on his body and he was filled with wild violent breaths, but it was of no use.

“Damn it!”

Grimm was compelled to perform the long-distance teleportation sorcery to Little Myna but a sudden sight caught him by surprise, he exclaimed incredulously, “No way! Spacetime Seal?”

The Spacetime Seal could be illustrated as a virtual world similar to the Nightmare World, the Narrow World, and the Dimensional Gaps. Seemingly, there was a connection with the Spectral World of the Endless World in order to achieve the greatest seal in the Sorcerers Knowledge—Spacetime Seal.

Unfortunately, the Spacetime Coordinated Access Locator between Grimm and Little Myna did not seem to work!

The only explanation Grimm could think of was that this whirlpool was the entrance to a certain Spectral World, and he had been enveloped by the mysterious law of the Spectral World!

The Spectral World was elusive and enigmatic!

Even some Spectral Worlds recorded by the Sorcerers World that Grimm had learned about existed in a mystical and incredible way. If he accidentally fell into an unknown Spectral World that might have dangerous elements, the consequences were horrifyingly…

He did not dare to think about it anymore.

But it was too late! Everything was too late!

The Acraepoid was long gone, he might have been completely sucked into the unknown world. Grimm felt distorted and twisted, it was as though his mental strength, little by little, was sucked by something unknown. His eyes became heavier at each passing moment and he closed his eyes eventually.

“Huh? It’s so warm and soft…”

Grimm’s final consciousness.

Black Isotta Stigmata Sorcerer, who was in the middle of a conversation with Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer and Dark Realms Stigmata Sorcerer, suddenly stopped talking.

“What’s wrong?” The emerald Soulfire in the eye sockets beneath Bone Bell Sorcerer’s robe asked as it flashed a sparkling green light. A curious expression was pasted on Dark Realms Sorcerer’s face.

Black Isotta stood silently as he tracked his senses in a distorted and collapsing space.

After a while, he said ambiguously, “It’s Grimm, the Black Isotta Will that I left on him sensed that he has suddenly left the world, and I can no longer detect his existence.”

“Huh?” Bone Bell and Dark Realms Stigmata Sorcerer were genuinely surprised.

For a young sorcerer who had received the attention of the Principal Will of the Sorcerers World, they would not intervene in his affairs. It was not really a big deal to leave the world of the quest during a Demon-Hunting expedition.

But leaving the world abruptly in the middle of a mission? That seemed rather unusual and odd.

“Well… Forget it, I’ll send a Demon-Hunter to the Arctic Tundra to investigate soon. Let’s resume the plan we were talking about. The coordinates of the Celestial Spirit World that I accidentally came into contact with are between the world community controlled by the Sorcerer Coalition and the Mechanical Destroyer civilization, if…”

At the same time.

Little Myna, who was chatting gleefully with several female Bright Demon-Hunters, opened his eyes wide as if he sensed something extraordinary.

“Hehe, what’s wrong? Don’t you like this glass fruit?” a young and sweet-looking Demon-Hunter teased as she held up a bunch of transparent fruits.

Instead of looking flirtatious and salivating, Little Myna wailed sorrowfully, “Master Grimm? Master? Master! Are… are you dead?”

As he sobbed loudly, Little Myna added, “Boohoo, I’m not crying, I’m happy for myself. I’m finally free! You and the old guy are the same, you guys are just pet beasts that I can order to come and go as I please…”

Uh?

The female Demon-Hunters exchanged curious glances before they realized the urgency of the matter.

The Master whom Little Myna called out loud was Grimm, the person responsible for this mission!

He’s dead?

As he continued sobbing, a thought suddenly struck him. He flapped his wings to wipe away his tears and wondered out loud, “Wait a minute. If he’s really dead, why is there no response from the Principal Soulfire in my body? Has he been sealed by the Spacetime Seal? But why does your Principal Soulfire look like you are sleeping?”

Little Myna mumbled to himself and suddenly yelped, “Damn it! What’s going on with you? What are you doing? Say something to me!”

Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap!

In the Soulfire, the towering giant myna cloned a miniature version of himself. Little Myna flapped his wings at the necklace where a tiny light was shining.

“Wake up! Don’t you dare ignore me! You scared me! Hey…”
