Ten days later.

What was once the vast, prosperous capital of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom was now devoid of any building that was more than thirty meters in size. Within the packed rubbles of intersecting Flame Burrows, who knew how many Acraepoid bodies were buried within the debris?

Crunch, crunch, crunch…

The ruins became a paradise for the sorcerers’ soul slaves. They were rolling around lazily, eating up anything they came across that were not sorcerers.

Occasionally, shadows of voidships would pass by as if they were preparing to launch the next wave of attack in their quest of spreading the Sorcerer’s Will into each corner of this world, obliterating any signs of civilization that the Acraepoids had taken ages to accomplish.

Roar…

Some of the Bright Sorcerers would summon their own soul slave legion and fly up into the sky, accompanied by their roars and growls.

There were hundreds of mysterious magical arrays scattered underneath the rubbles of the vast Dark Destroyer Capital. Sometimes, dark-colored moss would grow out of the collapsed rubbles, emitting a strain of black aura. It appeared they carried weak toxicity.

However, the moss could only last for a few hourglasses. They withered off as if they could not adapt to the climate of this world.

But in actual fact…

It was a string of world principles that set off the unnatural elemental ripples that were consciously scrubbing off the foreign substances!

Each of the elemental ripples had an area of effect the size of a fingernail. They were generally harmless to most of the living beings in the endless world. Yet, they were most effective against the Abyss Moss that was withering away slowly after being hit by a string of high-frequency elemental ripples.

Buzz…

A mechanical bee landed slowly under the escort of close to a hundred Bright Demon-Hunter Sorcerers. A few Dawn Sages who belonged to the Battle Command walked out from the mechanical bee. They were conducting some surveys in secrecy.

A Level-2 sorceress took out her crystal ball and headed towards the nearest target after checking her coordinates.

Other than the tens of Demon-Hunter Sorcerers that were serving as her bodyguards, there seemed to be some Dark Sorcerers hidden around her as well.

After walking for a while, the spectacled Level-2 sorceress tucked her blonde hair behind her ear. She bent down and scraped up some Abyss Moss that was dry and in powder form. After observing them carefully, she nodded and started to record in her journal.

Scribble, scribble…

The quill was brushing against the parchment without stopping.

“Specimen number twenty-nine. The Abyss Moss within the cultivation array was able to resist the natural purification energy of the world for up to three hourglasses. They have now developed their initial resistance against the power of the world. At this rate, they should be able to mature after twenty-five to thirty-five days later for the second phase of cataclysm.”

The sorceress surveyed the area after she had finished recording. She seemed to be investigating something within her own interests.

In a vassal city hundreds of kilometers away from the capital of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom.

The vassal city had one sole purpose since its founding: to gather the offsprings of the elite families of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom and make them compete against each other fairly. This was an academy of the Infernal Spirit Sword Art.

Thus, despite the small size of this vassal city, its grandeur was jaw-dropping.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble…

A squadron of voidships slowly flew by, casting their huge shadows on the ground. What immediately followed was a volley of pulverizing cannon fires, destroying each and every one of the Flame Burrows. There was an unceasing noise of collapse.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…

The Demon-Hunter Sorcerers led the soul slaves as they descended from the skies.

There was no resistance at all. Other than some of the unlucky Acraepoids, the whole city was a ghost town. Now, the sorcerers were just leveling the whole city.

It might take hundreds or even thousands of years to build a city, yet a day to destroy it.

The vassal city was one but many of the secondary cities surrounding the capital of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom that was invaded by the Demon-Hunter Sorcerers. The annihilation will of the distant Sorcerers World was consuming the falling Infernal Spirit World at an alarming rate.

The Acraepoids at each corner of the Infernal Spirit World spread the pair of wings behind their back and took to the skies. They crossed towering mountains, only to see the six ominous-looking blood-red moon through the flaming red pyre trees.

In the Battle Command of Black Isotta’s Void Fortress.

The heart of the fortress flickered for a moment. An image of an Acraepoid appeared. The Acraepoid was holding a crystal ball, communicating with the heart of the fortress in the sorcerer’s language.

An Acraepoid city that had fallen into a state of despair became the backdrop to the Acraepoids. The sun was setting, as were their hopes. It was the beginning of a nightmare.

“Some of the Level-3 Acraepoids were talking amongst themselves, saying that the First Acraepoid King had somehow lost his protection from his god nation. Though none of the Acraepoids had said it directly, but from our gathered intelligence, a god-slaying organization was founded in secrecy decades ago to gather some of the ambitious Level-3 warriors of this world to reap the godhood for their own. I plan to use them as a base and re-activate this organization and attempt a small-scaled man-made cataclysm.”

After calmly stating his words, the Acraepoid terminated the crystal ball’s communication.

There was only one explanation for this. The Acraepoid was actually similar to Grimm, a Demon-Hunter Sorcerer that had a Rank-1 Honor Badge. He had infiltrated into the ranks of the Acraepoids and was conducting sabotage in an effort to cause confusion.

The many strategists inside the Battle Command of the Void Fortress were recording the critical information down, comparing them with other intelligence to issue out coordinated missions.

“Ancient sealing array?”

Underneath the black loose sorcerer’s robe, a pair of green flames were burning profusely within the eye sockets of a grey skull. With hands behind his back, he slowly walked on what was once the temple grounds of the Dark Destroyer temple.

Thousands of soul slaves, shaking in terror, surrounded the grounds. Behind them were hundreds of elite bright Demon-Hunter Sorcerers.

“Yes, according to the intelligence gathered by the previous dark Demon-Hunter Sorcerers, the true purpose of the ancient sealing array hidden underneath the Dark Destroyer Kingdom was to seal off the world gate.”

A Level-3 Bright Demon-Hunter Sorcerer who was following behind Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer said in a low voice.

“We have destroyed all the outer layers of the seal, but the energy source of the seal still remains in the inner seal. If the Dark Demon-Hunter Sorcerers are right, there’s a Spirit of Seal within the inner seals.

The Spirit of Seal.

They were guardians that only existed in the ancient seals. Generally, their manifestations depended on the power of the seals.

“Heeheeheehee, interesting! So, the ancient sealing array comes as a bundle after a soul opens up the world gate, this world is rather interesting.”

Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer was laughing loudly. The skeleton slowly walked towards the temple ruins.

Rumble, rumble, rumble…

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam…

The collapsed debris was blown away by the powerful might of Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer’s magical aura, revealing the underground entrance to the ancient seal. There was no hesitation in Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer’s move. He stepped into the tunnel.

The Level-3 Demon-Hunter Sorcerer who was following behind him waved his hand. The army of Bright Demon-Hunter Sorcerers followed suit in a neat formation.

A little over half an hourglass.

At the entrance into the inner sealing sanctum, tens of thousands of magical runic verses were put in place to prevent the spread of the azure ice flames. Thousands of Bright Demon-Hunter Sorcerers had set up six small-sized altars around the inner seal, forming a sealing array of their own at the outer layer.

A skeletal hand reached out from the black sorcerer’s robe. Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer plucked out an ice flame and placed it into his mouth.

The green-colored flames of his eyes sockets flickered for a moment!

“Heehee, this feeling… interesting, heeheeheehee, interesting! Open up the magical sealing array!”

Following Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer’s deep-sounding laughs, the Level-3 great sorcerer who followed him shouted, “Open up the magical sealing array!”

The Demon-Hunter Sorcerers at all six altars extinguished the supplies of energy crystals at their respective places.

Thousands of magical runic verses that were hovering in mid-air turned dim. Immediately after that, a huge chunk of ice crystal spread out following the chill in the air.

“Forward!”

Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer was the first to charge into the ice cave, completely neglecting the ice flames inside.

The ancient seal had been damaged. It had also lost the inner seal that housed the death flower. A proper sorcerer could now withstand the power of the mysterious inner layer of the seal.

Rumble…

The Frozen Burrow was built in the image of the Flame Burrows of the Infernal Spirit World. The Ice Burrow reached a height of a thousand meters. A claw was suddenly raised from the top of the burrow. It was exactly ten-meters in length and was burning furiously in the azure ice flames. It was struggling to go up.

The huge claw appeared to be the energy source that was responsible for the sealing ice within the whole chamber.

The Bright Sorcerers were taken aback. They were now in their defensive postures. All they needed was an order to launch an all-out attack.

A Level-4 creature!?

As the panic-stricken Level-3 sorcerer was about to order the tens of thousands of sorcerers to launch the attack, Bone Bell Stigmata Sorcerer waved his hand and said calmly, “Halt!”

Rumble…

The giant claw did not attack the sorcerers. It was trying to escape from the Frozen Burrow underneath it. Despite its effort, it was pulled back into the Frozen Burrow by a dense Darkness Pool.

The giant claw was struggling continuously within the Frozen Burrow. It was not a Spirit of the Seal as what the Demon-Hunter Sorcerers had guessed.
