A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 413: War of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom III

As the Stigmata Sorcerer and the World Lord collided in battle, whether they were from the Infernal World or the Sorcerers World, low-level beings should automatically avoid them.

If not they would become an example of what would happen if the World Lords’ shockwave were to hit them.

The Demon-Hunter Sorcerer army was lined up neatly and in order, ten thousand people in one array, and there were about five hundred arrays, rings of Elemental Light were like ribbons, gathering from all directions.

Three-hundred-meter long shark-shaped voidships were parked around the phalanx of Light Sorcerers.

The ship’s main cannon collapsed into a giant cannon, its head on strength was enough to threaten the World Lord, whereas the few ten-meter long Light Swords and ten sub-cannons on the robotic arm were not to be underestimated as well.

As for the savage, ferocious looking monster soul slaves, based on Grimm’s Rank-1 Honor Badge authority intel, there were more or less five million of them, half of them were contributions from the six Stigmata Sorcerers, or the Seven Rings Celestial Sorcerer.

With such immense power, and the same immeasurable number of Acraepoids present, it was a war that was ten times grander than that expedition to fend off Amonros in the Shadow World exploding on the battlefield.

The sorcerers’ army and the Acraepoid army crashed vehemently into each other, and the sky was suddenly dyed in a mixture of blood red and bright flames.

Under the Sorcerer’s Will, the large herd of savage monster slaves covered the sky and blocked daylight, cramming against each other, ripping flesh and blood out of the even grander scale of Acraepoids.

After a few elemental waves, big pieces of sorcery appeared, and covered the Acraepoid army, which was then followed by the tyrannical bombing from the ships.

Sometimes some stronger Acraepoid nobles were able to break through the monster soul slave army, and make their way to the Demon Light Sorcerer army.

Be it the distorted dimension above the clouds, or high up in the sky below the clouds, or lower down in the sky, disastrous slaughtering was happening everywhere.

This meant that the shadows of the Acraepoid Will and the Sorcerer’s Will were emerging, fighting against each other.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…

Dark Sorcerers transformed into fireballs, and dashed towards the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital from high up in the sky, their sorcerer barriers leaving long trails of flames, gliding through the sky.

Boom, boom…

On such a terrible and grand battlefield, a few voidships would explode from the inside.

If not they would break into half, or explode into fragments, the remains that were still burning with fiery flames would fall onto the ground.

At the same time, the Acraepoid nobles and World Guardians had transformed into black fireballs. Their loss was unfathomable, in a battle of millions in numbers, even the presence of a Level-3 being was not enough.

Normal Acraepoid generals and fighters had wings that allowed them to fly, but the number of deaths of the normal Acraepoids without any ranks were of such a tremendous scale that it felt as if the sky was raining.

The only thing was that the falling rain was nothing but blood and gore.

Huff…

With his sorcerer barrier rubbing against the surrounding violent waves of elemental energy, in the sky that was slightly tinted red, Grimm had transformed into one of the millions of meteor fireballs, flying towards the ground.

Right when the Dark Sorcerers were still up in the sky rushing downwards to the ground, a large number of Acraepoids suddenly came forward to stop them.

“Young master, over there! Be careful!”

On Grimm’s shoulder, Myna’s claws held onto Grimm’s cloak tightly, one of its wings was pointed towards an Acraepoid army led by a black flame that was a few hundred meters away.

Slowly turning his head, under the Mask of Truth, Grimm’s Ice and Fire eyes looked over.

It was a defence troop led by the Infernal World Guardian!

Right then, there was Grimm who was a Demon-Hunter Sorcerer with a Rank-1 Honor Badge who had come to attack the Dark Destroyer Kingdom, along with Wicky, Solumn, Millie, Claudia, as well as the hundreds of other Dark Demon-Hunter Sorcerers who respected him and followed him there. They were certainly not short of Level-2 Demon-Hunter Sorcerers.

“Huh?”

Suddenly, high up in the sky there was another unit of about a thousand Demon-Hunter Sorcerers, also there to attack the Dark Destroyer Kingdom, that came dashing down from above.

This unit was dashing in from a different angle than Grimm’s troop, and they clashed with the Acraepoid army that was led by the World Guardian earlier than Grimm’s troop did.

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang…

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom…

The Acraepoids had a brief intense clash with the Dark Sorcerers who had transformed into fireballs, some of the diving fireballs were extinguished, most of them continued diving downwards.

As for the Acraepoids, there was mostly gravel left in the sky after the fireball had charged into them, leaving only a few Acraepoids and the World Guardian fleeing in a panic.

The sky was full of Dark Sorcerers that had transformed into fireballs. They started to attack, like countless meteors, lighting up the Dark Destroyer Kingdom like it was the end of the world.

“Caw? Young master, there’s another troop coming from over there!”

Myna pointed in another direction of the Acraepoids who were howling and flapping their wings towards them.

However this army did not have a World Guardian with them so regardless of number, or their overall strength, they were incomparable with the previous army.

After all, most of the Acraepoids were in the sky at the moment, facing against the Light Demon-Hunter Sorcerers who were far stronger than the Dark Demon-Hunter Sorcerers, and also the ferocious monster slaves that were attacking like raging tides.

“Hmph!”

Grimm huffed coldly under the Mask of Truth, his eyes were ice cold as he waved the Sabbatic Goat Staff in his hand, and called out to the hundreds of Demon-Hunter Sorcerers behind him, “Separate them!”

A loud bang sounded.

A high density shock beam was released from the Sabbatic Goat Staff. Right after destroying an Acraepoid’s sword and its entire body, his barrier that could defend up to thousands of degrees of attack knocked away two other Acraepoids, and he continued diving towards the Dark Destroyer Kingdom while burning with fiery blazes.

The Demon-Hunter Sorcerers behind Grimm did the exact same thing.

In just a short moment, the Acraepoid army that planned to stop them was completely defeated by Grimm and the Demon-Hunter Sorcerers that were rushing downwards.

Bang…

There was a sudden change in the battle in the sky, Grimm, who was transformed as a diving fireball, could not help but take a peek.

Black Isotta who had transformed into the colossal giant towered in the sky, he seemed invincible and absolutely domineering.

To the Acraepoids of this world, Black Isotta was like a demon king from another world in the fictional stories that had come to invade their world, a last boss kind of demon king that the protagonist of the story would face in the last stage after having slaughtered and passed through different trials.

It was a shame, as reality and fictional stories were two different worlds.

Fairy tales could never replace the cruelty of reality.

To the average World Lord, a normal World Guardian or a Level-3 being was more than enough to become a threat.

But to Black Isotta right now…

As the gigantic mysterious sorcerer book opened up, it sucked in a large number of Acraepoids, sometimes when large numbers of Acraepoids started to attack, Black Isotta merely waved its colossal arms in irritation, completely annihilating them.

Every movement from him meant the death of hundreds of Acraepoids.

The strange thing was, the Acraepoid King who was the strongest Infernal World Lord, had actually started to massacre the Acraepoids by its side.

After the Acraepoid King had commited genocide, it was attacked by Black Isotta, while dispersing a large amount of Infernal Energy, it then started to mumble in a strange manner.

Even though they were far apart, an incredible and unbelievable majestic energy appeared and it made Grimm’s heart skip a beat.

The Acraepoid King had summoned a giant Water Sword.

Following the shattering sound in the surrounding space, the Acraepoid King seemed to have gone insane, and proceeded to kill another Infernal World Lord easily, the battle in the sky was thrown into confusion and disarray.

Grimm inhaled sharply.

The high level battle between the World Lords up in the sky was not something that Grimm could figure out, to Grimm, the best thing to do was to avoid it as long as possible.

As he calmed himself down, Grimm stopped paying attention to the big battle, and started focusing on finishing his own mission.

He skimmed through the battlefield and already knew that they had the upper hand regardless of which battle it was, be it the battle between the Stigmata Sorcerers and Infernal World Guardians, or the battle between the Light Demon-Hunter Sorcerers and countless Acraepoids.

“Grimm, who is that over there?”

Millie with a sorcerer barrier around her asked. She had also transformed into a flaming meteor and was diving down together with him.

Through the rough friction between the sorcerer barrier and the flames in the space around them, Millie was asking about the savage beings that were rushing towards the sky just as they were heading towards the ground.

Magic power surged from the Mask of Truth.

The Eagle Eye technique was casted, and Grimm was shocked to see armies of millions of various types of red-eyed savage beasts spawning from nowhere coming from the Dark Destroyer Kingdom, ready to face the Dark Demon-Hunter Sorcerers who were diving down from the sky. Grimm’s face darkened at this sight.

“Soul slaves, they’re soul slaves of the Infernal World!”

Wicky, Solumn, and Claudia became pale simultaneously.

Even though they had heard Grimm talk about controlling soul slaves in the Infernal World, seeing it for real right now was another thing, they could not help but feel unnerved.

Controlling soul slaves had always been the Sorcerer Civilization’s technique, or the Stigmata Sorcerers’ battle strategy.

It was also one of the signs of war systems in the civilized world of the Sorcerers World.

Through the continuous process of enslaving new soul slaves, the Sorcerers World had plundered more than the loss of world domination, and they would continue to grow even stronger.

This was the sorcerer’s war system in most sorcerers’ understanding, and was also the reason why sorcerers were recognized as Slave World Lords.

And right now, when low-level sorcerers had seen that other worlds also had a prototype of the same war strategies, it would be a hindrance not knowing what strength it held, a thought suddenly occurred to them.

If this world was allowed to develop and grow stronger, would the day come when the sorcerers would be enslaved by the World Lord?

Knowing the sad and pitiful fate of a slave, sorcerers as slave owners could not care less, under the condition that the sorcerers were the Eternal Slave Owners.

Perhaps, the reason why the Seven Rings Celestial Sorcerer listed this world as an enemy, was this?

The Dark Destroyer Kingdom.

The red-eyed soul slaves were divided into hundreds of units, countless of them almost blocking out the sky as they dashed forward, the smaller troops probably only had a few thousand monster slaves, but the bigger ones had about hundreds and thousands of them!

Right below Grimm’s unit, there was a big group of a hundred thousand monster slaves, each with blood-red eyes as they pounced upwards, trying to stop the few Dark Demon-Hunter Sorcerers in Grimm’s unit from advancing forcefully.
