Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

At this moment, Zhang Dingbian and Kang Maocai were both staring blankly at their little junior sister.

”Who, who did this to you!”

The two questioned, ”And our master, what on earth happened?”

Under the questioning of the two senior brothers, the little junior sister finally held back her tears and began to tell the course of events.

It turned out that the incident happened a year ago when their senior brother, Lu Feng, returned to the mountain, praising the Daqian court in various ways. He also mentioned that the court had learned that their master was living in seclusion on the mountain, so he was ordered to invite the master to come out and serve the court.

Of course, the master sternly refused and rebuked the senior brother as a traitor who betrayed his country.

He, a dignified son of the Han family, a descendant of the Yue family, how could he become a dog for the foreign clan? At that time, he scolded the senior brother fiercely, calling him a dog. The senior brother, seeing the master angry, immediately apologized.

The master told him to go down the mountain immediately and kill two court officials, and to cut ties with the court right away; otherwise, he should never seek him as his master again!

He said he had no such disciple!

The senior brother hesitated only for a moment before agreeing to the master’s request and personally poured wine to apologize to the master.

But who could have thought that the senior brother, black-hearted, actually drugged the master’s wine? After drinking, the master felt weak and asked Lu Feng the dog traitor if he had poisoned the wine.

Lu Feng looked at his master and said, ”Master, a wise bird chooses the right tree to rest on. You’ve taught us since young to learn good skills and sell them to the Emperor. Now that I’ve gained status in the court, why do you ask me to give it up?”

”Master, honestly speaking, I’ve come on the orders of Lord Prime Minister Tuotuo to invite you to come out from seclusion. If you follow me, you can pick riches and honors as you like. I see that you’ve been single for years, and beauties are abundant in the Imperial City. As your disciple, I wish to serve you well. Don’t be unaware of what’s good for you!”

After hearing Lu Feng, the master suddenly stood up and shouted furiously, ”Lu Feng, I taught you skills for joining the rebel army, yet you joined the court and now aid oppressors. I have been blind, you disgrace to our prestigious family!”

”Hahaha... a fine descendant of an esteemed family, master, my ancestor was indeed the Jade Qilin Lu Junyi from Water Pool Liang Mountain. But he also taught me one truth — what damned Han orthodoxy? In those days, they relied on Emperor Zhao Song, and the result was a cup of poisonous wine that killed my ancestor!”

”So, Han people are unreliable.”

”Is this the reason you joined the enemy?”

Lu Feng laughed heartily and said, ”Master, it’s not that I’ve joined the enemy, but rather that I’ve aligned with power.”

”To be honest with you, master, I am now under the Prime Minister’s Mansion, serving as the Vice Commander of the Forbidden Army, a position comparable to Minister. My ancestor never held such a post in his entire life; I am the most prestigious member of the Lu family!”

”Master, with your skills, if you enter the Prime Minister’s Mansion, I’ll ensure your rise, and then call Second Brother and Third Brother too.”

”Wouldn’t it be good to share riches together?”

”You dream on!”

Bang!

The master slammed the table into pieces and angrily yelled, ”I am a descendant of General Yue, pure my whole life. How could I let you, a rebellious disciple, ruin the honor of the Yue family? Today, our master-disciple relationship is severed. Leave now!”

The master glared furiously at Lu Feng.

Lu Feng, after hearing this, glanced at the master and laughed calmly, ”The old man has quite a temper!”

The master suddenly looked at him, and Lu Feng said, ”Alright, since you’ve put it like this, I have nothing more to say, it’s time to send you on your way!”

”You!”

The master looked utterly shocked.

Lu Feng continued, ”Ha, master, when I came, Lord Prime Minister instructed that if the master is willing to submit to the court and share riches, he would be treated with respect and invited back to the Great Capital.”

”But if the master refuses, then I will send you to heaven!”

”You, betraying master and ancestors!”

Lu Feng looked at the master’s shocked expression and said, ”Master, understand me, one must act in one’s own interest or face celestial wrath. It’s not easy for me to climb to this level, so please fulfill your disciple!”

After speaking, Lu Feng directly attacked the master.

The master hurriedly fought back, and at that moment, Lu Feng drew out his long spear and attacked continuously, forcing the master to retreat step by step. Seeing this, I immediately threw the Yue Family Spear from the wall to the master.

With the spear in hand, the master fought against him.

Initially, the master’s spear technique was skilled and he held the advantage, but unexpectedly, the poison started to show its effects, causing his technique to become erratic, allowing the opponent to find a flaw to attack the master.

The master and Lu Feng the dog traitor fought for a full fifteen minutes, and finally, the full potency of the drug took effect. Realizing it was bad, the master urgently told me to run.

In the midst of speaking, Lu Feng the dog traitor’s spear had already pierced the master’s chest.

The master, before dying, was still standing, pinned alive by Lu Feng the dog traitor to the doorframe.

At that moment, I was frightened and immediately ran. Lu Feng chased me endlessly; we ran all the way to the cliff’s edge. Cornered, I had no choice but to jump down.

Speaking of this, the little junior sister burst into tears; though saved, her face was marred by falling rocks into scars, turning her into a disfigured monster, and her legs broke irreparably.

Fortunately, at that time, I met Song Lang who was collecting bamboo shoots below the cliff.

He saved me, hid me here, and if not for that, I might never have seen the two senior brothers, sob sob sob...

Watching the little junior sister crying like this, Zhang Dingbian and Kang Maocai’s eyes reddened. Lu Feng, how dare you actually destroy your own kin, why should I spare you!

Thus, the two set off together for the Capital, with the goal of killing Lu Feng and the mastermind behind this, Minister Tuotuo of the Daqian Prime Minister.
