Chapter 1494: Chapter 340: Chen 94, You Won’t Make Our Commandery Princess a Concubine, Right? (3)

So Chen Jie’s abilities are actually quite good.

Chen Jie is confident about this as well.

Zhao Ya heard this and said: ”Hmm, Jiu Si, since you have such confidence, that’s good, let’s analyze the situation.”

”Within Cheng Garden, only Lord Wuxiang and the Turtle and Crane Elders might be obstacles at present.”

Upon hearing this, Ah San said: ”Commandery Princess, we can hold off my master and the Turtle and Crane Elders, don’t worry, there won’t be any problems.”

The Commandery Princess said: ”But...”

”Commandery Princess, you don’t need to worry about us, we’re just going to discuss some Martial Arts issues with my master and the Turtle and Crane elders. We don’t even know you’re planning to escape. Even if there’s an investigation later, it won’t lead to us, and once things here have calmed down, we’ll find the Commandery Princess in Huangzhou Prefecture and regroup,” Ah Da said.

Ah San said: ”Yes, Ah Da is right. I’ll deal with my master; he favors me the most and won’t be suspicious.”

Ah Da said: ”Hmm, I’ll go to the Turtle and Crane Elders with Ah Er. Just recently I asked them to teach me a Hand Technique.”

Upon hearing Ah Da’s words, Zhao Ya fell silent. Ah Da looked at Chen Jie and asked: ”Mr. Chen, do you think this plan is feasible?”

Chen Jie said: ”It’s feasible, then I’ll leave it to the three of you. If things become impossible, don’t force it; prioritize safety above all. The Commandery Princess said, ’we came together, we’ll leave together,’ and I don’t want any of you left behind, or else the Commandery Princess will be heartbroken.”

Upon hearing this, Ah Da clasped his hands and said: ”Mr. Chen, rest assured, we will certainly protect ourselves.”

Chen Jie clasped his hands and said: ”Then I leave it to you, let’s meet in Huangzhou Prefecture.”

Ah Da nodded, and the Commandery Princess followed by looking at Ah Da and Ah San and said: ”You, be careful.”

Upon hearing this, Ah Da and Ah San clasped their hands and said: ”Commandery Princess, rest assured, we still want to serve as your guards for a lifetime.”

After saying this, Zhao Ya nodded and said: ”Good, I will wait for you.”

Ah Da and Ah San exchanged a glance and then headed directly outside to stabilize Lord Wuxiang and the Turtle and Crane Elders, allowing the Commandery Princess and Chen Jie to quickly leave the place.

At this moment, inside the room, Zhao Ya said: ”Hmm, Lord and the Turtle and Crane Masters have been stabilized. Next, we might face the enemy stationed outside the city: your third brother and his ten thousand White Deer Army.”

”Don’t worry, Yaya. I’ve already dispatched eight thousand from Huangzhou Prefecture’s Vermilion Bird Guard to support us. Even if your third brother leads his army to attack, I am not without the strength to fight back,” Chen Jie replied.

Upon hearing this, Zhao Ya was startled and looked at Chen Jie: ”Vermilion Bird Guard? Jiu Si, you know that the White Deer Army is my father’s elite, and one of the three major corps of Daqian, each soldier is a formidable warrior.”

Chen Jie replied: ”Yaya, rest assured, though the Vermilion Bird Guard is not battle-hardened elite soldiers, they have been trained using the military strategies from Wu Mu’s Legacy, capable of executing a fraction of the military formations from it; a slight resistance is possible.”

Zhao Ya heard this and said: ”A fraction, hmm, along with your Middle Melting Furnace Realm strength, it does provide a fighting chance.”

Chen Jie said: ”Hmm, we won’t get entangled with your third brother. Just a brief resistance so that you can escape is enough. Once we’re in Hubei territory, my elder brother and State Preceptor Peng Yingyu can offer us some protection.”

Zhao Ya said: ”Hmm, this is good, but Jiu Si, you must be prepared. You know I am supposed to marry the Emperor, my uncle. If he learns you stole me away, in his fury, I fear he might dispatch troops against us.”

”Though the court is weakened, sending just one or two troops is not something we can withstand at the moment.”

Chen Jie replied: ”Hmm, I’m prepared, don’t worry, things aren’t as bleak as you think. The elite troops of this world number only three paths: the court’s Treasure Elephant Army guarding the Great Capital, Northwest Qi King Li Siqi’s Grey Wolf Army, and your father’s White Deer Army.”

”The Treasure Elephant Army won’t be mobilized easily since they need to guard the Great Capital, and the biggest threat in the north, the Zoroastrian Sect, is still present. If they mobilize the Treasure Elephant Army, wouldn’t they risk having the Zoroastrian Sect strike against them?”

”Moreover, King Qi Li Siqi has long harbored disloyal intentions, expanding his territory for personal gain, even establishing a mutual non-aggression agreement with Peng Yingyu at the border. So, he wouldn’t really attack Hubei Road on the Emperor’s order unless the court is willing to incur great losses!”

”And the court isn’t willing to incur great losses right now, so the likelihood of Li Siqi deploying troops is small.”

”Finally, that leaves only your father!”

Chen Jie looked at Zhao Ya, who took a deep breath: ”You saving me has ruined my father’s grand plan. He won’t let you off easily, so you must be prepared to confront my father.”

”When fifty thousand White Deer Army press against us, Jiu Si, can you withstand it?”

Chen Jie swallowed hard and replied: ”No problem, when soldiers come, we’ll use commanders to block them; when water comes, we’ll use earth to cover it. Besides, with so many bandits in Jiangnan, Ruyang King can’t afford to exhaust resources dealing with me, his prospective son-in-law.”

”Oh, you’re such a detestable person, who is your daughter-in-law,” Zhao Ya said.

She gave Chen Jie a glance, a bit shy, as women of this era, like Zhao Ya, a heroine, paid great attention to these matters between men and women.

Therefore, being called a prospective daughter-in-law by Chen Jie made her face a little red.

Chen Jie said: ”Alright, that’s enough talking. Ah Da and the others should have stabilized Lord Wuxiang by now, let’s go.”

Saying this, Chen Jie led Zhao Ya and her two maidservants directly outward.

...

At this time, inside Lord Wuxiang’s room, Lord Wuxiang looked at the lavish spread of food and drink prepared and asked Ah San with a fawning expression: ”What are you really up to, kid?”

Ah San replied: ”What am I up to, Master? Could a disciple like me ever deceive you?”
