Chapter 1457: Chapter 331: Yuan Jia 3: My 3 Trigrams Can Decide the Fate of the World (Part 4)

After returning to the Witch Clan’s gathering place in Wushan, Feng Hongyuan immediately demonstrated her Middle Melting Furnace Realm strength, along with her pure Fire Witch power.

She stated that she had inherited the Witch God Inheritance.

Seeing Feng Hongyuan inherit the Witch God Inheritance, many people in the Witch Clan expressed their desire to establish Feng Hongyuan as the new Witch Clan Patriarch, but at this moment, Feng Hongyuan’s second uncle, Feng Xuewu, was not agreeable.

Feng Xuewu also possessed cultivation in the Middle Melting Furnace Realm, and upon seeing Feng Hongyuan poised to become the Witch Clan Patriarch, he immediately stood up and said: ”Third Brother has already abolished the hereditary nature of the Witch God Inheritance, which means the Witch God Inheritance can no longer represent the highest authority of the Witch Clan.”

”Therefore, Feng Hongyuan cannot be the Patriarch. The Patriarch should be chosen from other candidates!”

Upon hearing this, everyone present understood Feng Xuewu’s meaning well; when he mentioned other candidates, who else was he referring to but himself, Feng Xuewu?

At once, those present began to argue and each had their own opinion.

Some traditionalists believed that even if the Witch God Inheritance cannot inherit the Witch God’s power, it still possesses its divinity, and hence the successor of the Witch God Inheritance should continue to be chosen as the Witch God and the Patriarch.

Meanwhile, those under Feng Xuewu’s command were very clear in their attitude, recognizing only Feng Xuewu as the Patriarch.

Finally, the argument between the two factions was unresolved, and Feng Xuewu angrily departed, announcing that very night he would defect from the Witch Clan and no longer be a Witch.

Thus, he led three hundred of his subordinates out of the Witch Clan.

Simultaneously, the talent-loving King Qi immediately extended an olive branch, and that night, Feng Xuewu joined King Qi’s camp, becoming an official of high rank granted by King Qi.

The remaining members of the Witch Clan, under Feng Hongyuan’s leadership, remained in Wushan for a while to settle, and those willing to explore the world could venture out, while those wishing to live in peace and prosperity could continue to do so.

Chen Jie and Ni Wenjun enjoyed a sumptuous local meal at the Witch Clan before formally bidding farewell to Feng Hongyuan.

Feng Hongyuan offered them the highest honor of the Witch Clan, the Sunflower Crown, and the two departed with the Sunflower Crown.

Feng Hongyuan addressed Chen Jie: ”Brother Chen, you will always be my elder brother. Whenever and wherever you need, our Witch Clan people will be there without question.”

After hearing these words, Chen Jie replied to Feng Hongyuan: ”Thank you for the Witch Clan’s friendship, and Hongyuan, you will always be my sister.”

”Yes, Hongyuan, you will always be my sister too.” Ni Wenjun echoed these sentiments from the side.

”Whenever the Witch Clan needs anything, elder brother is always just a call away.”

”Me too,” Ni Wenjun remarked.

”Whenever Hongyuan or any of your Witch Clan people wishes to visit Hubei Road, you must definitely seek out elder brother, and I will surely welcome you with a grand feast.”

”Me too,” Ni Wenjun responded.

”And...”

”Me too,” Ni Wenjun remarked again.

...

Having bid farewell to Feng Hongyuan, Chen Jie and Ni Wenjun headed down the mountain, where their army was stationed outside Feng Family Village. Previously, Chen Jie was engaged in battle as a War General, but was pursued fiercely by Li Bao, resulting in Ni Wenjun taking over the army temporarily.

After arriving at Feng Family Village, the army settled there under the management of Jin Yanzi, while Ni Wenjun followed the army up the mountain.

Now they were returning to take command of the army, but as soon as they arrived, they noticed something was amiss: the whole army was dispirited and demoralized, like eggplants beaten by frost.

Chen Jie frowned, and at this moment, someone with sharp eyes noticed Chen Jie and his group, and immediately reported to Jin Yanzi, who quickly came out to greet them.

Chen Jie looked at Jin Yanzi and frowned, asking: ”What’s wrong with the army?”

Jin Yanzi solemnly knelt on one knee, saying: ”I have failed, and allowed someone to abduct Madam Hua!”

”What!” Upon hearing this, Ni Wenjun jumped up in shock and exclaimed!
