Reverend Insanity: Dream Gu

Lin Yan carefully inspected the resource points within Yellow Earth Blessed Land. Most produced various types of precious spirit soil capable of nourishing the earth and replenishing its nutrients. From their scale and arrangement, it was clear that trading spirit soil had been one of Mo Guang’s main sources of income.

Managing a blessed land continuously consumed the nutrients within its soil, especially when large numbers of resource points were concentrated in a limited area. As the land was depleted, Gu Immortals needed to replenish it with suitable spirit soil. This created a constant demand for such resources.

After examining the resource points, Lin Yan found that two could be transplanted into Flame Sovereign Blessed Land without reducing their output. He decided to preserve the remaining six within Yellow Earth Blessed Land and continue using them to produce spirit soil. The harvested spirit soil could then be transported into Flame Sovereign Blessed Land to replenish the nutrients consumed by its numerous resource points.

With this additional supply, the immense pressure Flame Sovereign Blessed Land had accumulated through its rapid development could be relieved considerably. At its current rate of consumption, the spirit soil from Yellow Earth Blessed Land should be enough to support it for another one or two years.

After settling Yellow Earth Blessed Land, Lin Yan dealt with the other three Rank Six Mo Family Gu Immortals in the same manner. All three cultivated either Flame Path.

From their immortal apertures, he obtained two Rank Six Immortal Gu: Bright Sun Immortal Gu and Earth Sand Fire Immortal Gu. He also acquired numerous killer moves and Immortal Gu recipes.

Bright Sun Immortal Gu appeared to belong to Flame Path, but it was actually a rare Yin-Yang Path Immortal Gu. Fortunately, Spring Mountain, one of his newly obtained giant resource points, produced its food, making it easy to feed.

Earth Sand Fire Immortal Gu was an Otherworldly Flame Immortal Gu. Lin Yan already possessed the corresponding Rank Seven Otherworldly Flame within Thousand Flames Sea, which had since been incorporated into Endless Fire Domain.

He could now study the Immortal Gu alongside the higher-ranked flame itself. Together with Perceivable Dao Immortal Gu, Unperceivable Dao Immortal Gu, and Yellow Earth Immortal Gu, these five newly obtained Immortal Gu brought Lin Yan’s total to twenty-nine.

The remaining three blessed lands contained another ten Immortal rank resource points and dozens of mortal resource points. Lin Yan transplanted all of them into Flame Sovereign Blessed Land. With his Wisdom Path foundation, he carefully selected their locations according to their individual requirements, avoiding conflicts with existing resource points over nutrients and other resources.

Once everything was arranged, Flame Sovereign Blessed Land possessed nine giant resource points, with Thousand Flames Sea included within Endless Fire Domain. The number of ordinary Immortal rank resource points had risen to an astonishing two hundred and twenty.

With their resources transferred, the three Rank Six blessed lands were now empty. Lin Yan had no intention of annexing them himself.

Although annexing them would allow him to skip calamities and tribulations and quickly advance his cultivation, he would lose the dao marks he could have gained by overcoming those tribulations himself.

Lin Yan valued those dao marks far more than saving a little time. Instead, he could preserve the three blessed lands for suitable future Gu Immortals under him to annex blessed land.

Unlike Fang Yuan, Lin Yan was not being pursued by enemies on all sides, forced to race against mounting dangers. He still had enough time to strengthen his foundation before advancing to the next rank.

With these matters settled, Lin Yan finally turned his attention toward the Dream Realms he had accumulated.

Four came from the Mo Family Gu Immortals. Split Divinity, Fire Thunder Divine Lord, and the creator of the Information Path true inheritance had each provided another. Most of these Dream Realms remained largely unexplored.

There was also the Dream Realm connected to the Thieving Heaven True Inheritance, along with the two opportunities discovered through the Ni Family descendants. Some were too dangerous to explore with his current abilities; others required further preparation before they could be properly located.

Lin Yan put those aside for the time being and began a long period of secluded cultivation within the Turbulent Flow Sea Area.

Whenever his soul was in good condition, he entered the Dream Realms to explore them. Once the damage became too severe, he stopped to recover.

Between explorations, he used the Dream Realm created by Dream Derivation Immortal Gu to practice killer moves from his various true inheritances, simulate Gu refinement, and study the Immortal Gu recipes he had accumulated.

There was simply too much knowledge waiting for him to digest. Cultivating his soul, recovering from Dream Realm exploration, mastering unfamiliar killer moves, studying Immortal Gu recipes, and learning how to properly use his newly obtained Immortal Gu all consumed considerable time.

Before he knew it, an entire year had passed.
