Reverend Insanity: Dream Gu

Fire Thunder Divine Lord had once conceived an astonishing idea. He wanted to gather the Three Flame of Heaven, Earth, and Human and refine each of them into an Immortal Gu. If he succeeded, the resulting three Gu would stand among the greatest Flame Path Immortal Gu in existence and might even possess the potential to reach Rank Nine.

The Three Flame of Heaven, Earth, and Human were also mentioned in The Legends of Ren Zu. A beautiful snowwoman had once conquered all three flames and allowed them to burn within her heart without dying. The feat itself might not appear particularly extraordinary, but anything specifically recorded in The Legends of Ren Zu could not be regarded lightly. Fire Thunder Divine Lord’s idea of refining these three mysterious flames into Immortal Gu was undoubtedly ingenious.

Moreover, Lin Yan felt that the passage in The Legends of Ren Zu concealed something deeper. After enduring the Three Flame of Heaven, Earth, and Human, the snowwoman challenged the fire of love. Using the hearts of conquest and unwillingness, she ignited the flame and burned herself, ultimately giving birth to Ren Zu’s fifth child Blazing Glory Lightning Brilliance.

Most intriguing was what came afterward. Blazing Glory Lightning Brilliance had been born from the fire of love, yet Hatred Gu resided within his heart. Ice and fire could transform into one another, so perhaps love and hatred also shared some mysterious relationship.

Lin Yan sank into thought. After obtaining the Blazing Glory Lightning Brilliance Physique, he had inherited a killer move from Thieving Heaven that used Thunder Vein Immortal Gu and Hatred Gu as its main Gu. Since then, several passages within The Legends of Ren Zu had begun to appear increasingly unusual in his eyes.

There were undoubtedly profound Human Path mysteries hidden within these stories. Lin Yan could vaguely sense some connection between the Three Flames, the fire of love, Hatred Gu, and Blazing Glory Lightning Brilliance, but his current Human Path attainment was too low to understand exactly what connected them.

”Forget it. I’ll study this again after my Human Path attainment improves.”

_______

Lin Yan turned his attention to Fire Thunder Divine Lord’s inheritance. Fire Thunder Divine Lord had clearly devoted considerable effort to researching the Three Flames. Not only had he gathered all three Rank Nine immortal materials, he had even deduced incomplete Rank Six Immortal Gu recipes corresponding to each of them.

After examining the three recipes, Lin Yan was pleasantly surprised.

”He’s already deduced them this far. That saves me a great deal of trouble.”

For Lin Yan, these incomplete recipes were almost as valuable as the Three Flames themselves. Creating an entirely new Immortal Gu recipe required first determining the direction of the refinement and what the Gu itself should represent, then selecting suitable materials and repeatedly modifying the recipe through countless deductions and failures. Fire Thunder Divine Lord had already completed much of this work.

With Lin Yan’s Refinement Path attainment, he could continue from where Fire Thunder Divine Lord had stopped rather than beginning from nothing. Once the three recipes were completed and the Immortal Gu successfully refined, they could become important additions to his Flame Path combat style.

Their connection to Endless Fire Domain was even more important. If the secluded domain continued developing according to Lin Yan’s plans, the Three Flames could eventually become part of its highest layers. With enough accumulation and a suitable environment, Endless Fire Domain might one day become capable of nurturing Rank Nine Flame Path immortal materials.

Lin Yan carefully stored the Three Flames immortal material together with their incomplete recipes. Fire Thunder Divine Lord’s true inheritance had now been completely collected, leaving only one matter to settle before he departed the Southern Border.

Some time later, he arrived above Rotten Mud Mountain. The Ni Clan village lay below, where tens of thousands of mortals went about their daily lives, completely unaware of the Gu Immortal high above them. Lin Yan remained hidden in the sky, with no intention of descending or revealing his presence.

Immortal killer move—Heart-Stopping!

An invisible force spread across the village. The Ni clansmen had no ability to resist a Wisdom Path killer move. Their thoughts were suppressed almost simultaneously, and one person after another collapsed unconscious.

Lin Yan immediately activated Formation Flag Immortal Gu. Formation light covered the village, and the unconscious Ni clansmen disappeared in large numbers, transferred directly into Flame Sovereign Blessed Land.

The earth suddenly split apart as an Immemorial Desolate Mud Monster emerged from beneath the village. It was the Ni Clan’s greatest protection, but by the time it appeared, the clansmen were already gone. Lin Yan turned his killer moves upon it without hesitation. After a brief but fierce battle, he killed the monster and collected its enormous corpse as immortal material.

He then searched Rotten Mud Mountain, taking away every resource worth collecting. After finishing here, he traveled to the remaining Ni Clan branch villages and used the same method to transfer their clansmen into Flame Sovereign Blessed Land.

From the beginning, Rotten Mud Mountain itself had never been Lin Yan’s true objective. What he wanted was the entire Ni Clan.
