Ning An's Wild Wish System

The principal, too, was quick to read the room and took prompt remedial actions.

He stood up and cursed at Guo Yi: ”At least you’re somewhat human, knowing to pay a bit more attention to students who aren’t doing well academically.”

”But, given how unique Wang Zihao’s situation is, as the homeroom teacher, you completely disregard it; it’s just outrageous, so, you...”

Before he could finish, Wang Zihao raised his head and nervously waved his hands:

”Principal, it’s not like that, it’s not like that, Teacher Guo is really good.”

”My family is poor and couldn’t afford to give gifts to Teacher Guo, yet he was still willing to help me apply for national financial aid. Really, Teacher Guo is truly good to me.”

The viewers in the live stream room laughed uncontrollably.

”That’s just too darn real! It reminds me of a school reunion a couple of years back — a classmate toasting to a teacher, cheerfully said: Teacher, do you remember me, I was the first in that year’s long-distance run.”

The teacher looked puzzled: ”First?”

That classmate continued to laugh and say: ”That winter, my dad sent you a Sony radio.”

The teacher laughed and responded: ”Zhang Yang, how could the teacher forget?”

Then another classmate boldly toasted: ”Teacher Wang, my dad sent you a TV.”

The teacher replied without hesitation: ”Yuan Hua, still as strikingly charismatic as ever.”

Then the smart one in our class spoke: ”Teacher, I gave you a calendar.”

The teacher shook his head: ”That, the teacher doesn’t remember, no worries, the teacher doesn’t hold grudges.”

”Yes, back then, the custom of giving gifts to teachers was indeed rampant, and if you didn’t gift the teachers, you could easily be isolated, even now such things are hard to stamp out.”

”Indeed, gifting teachers is somewhat of an unspoken rule, but some things may weigh less than four liangs when not weighed, yet when weighed, a thousand liangs isn’t enough.”

”Especially now, with leaders watching and live streaming, it isn’t something that a thousand liangs can settle, like wet cotton soaking up water, almost impossible to extract.”

”...”

At this moment, the principal was furious enough to want to kill Guo Yi.

If given a chance, he really wanted to pry open this idiot’s head that belonged in a museum, to see if it’s filled with paste.

”Guo Yi, you’re really a dark horse, quite the hidden figure!”

As if to prove his innocence, the principal almost shouted: ”Starting today, you’re no longer a teacher at Brother Xing’s School, I’m telling you, you’re fired!”

”At Star River School, we uphold strict school discipline, we can’t accommodate a great figure like you, you’d better seek better opportunities elsewhere.”

Yet Yang Shu wasn’t about to give this principal any dignity, after all, there wasn’t much dignity left to give.

He immediately sneered: ”Principal Wang, what a grand authority you have; without needing a meeting discussion, just one word from you to dismiss a tenured teacher, remarkable.”

”No, I didn’t, please let me explain...”

”No need to explain to me, I don’t wish to hear your explanation, someone will come to your school in a few days, speak to them then.”

In an instant, Principal Wang felt an utter chill, appearing calm in demeanor, but in reality, he was long gone.

Seeing this scene, the viewers in the live stream room felt more delighted than eating ice cream during the dog days of summer.

”Good! This really made my day, I’m stuffed on this drama.”

”Normally where do we get to see such a scene, it’s mostly a game of interests, where everyone knows the unspoken rules, no one would be rash enough to tear faces directly.”

”Indeed, today just happened to all align perfectly, just a slight difference in variables and this matter would’ve been settled internally.”

”Alright, brothers, let’s not talk about it anymore, if we delve too deep into this topic, Brother Sect Leader’s live stream is going to blow up, and then we won’t have a place to indulge in drama.”

”Hahahaha.”

”...”

Instantly, the netizens burst into collective laughter.

But soon, someone raised their doubts.

”Wait a minute! How come the unlucky ones are only this homeroom teacher and the principal, why is that canteen manager getting off scot-free?”

”Hmm? That couldn’t be, when we first saw that canteen manager, didn’t the students already crowd around and give him a good beating?”

”Compared to this principal and homeroom teacher, that’s a pathetic form of revenge, just suffered some surface injuries, as against him being a profiteer, this punishment seems too lenient, right?”

”Could it be when that kid made a wish earlier, saw the canteen manager being beaten badly, and didn’t include him in the wish?”

”...”

The live stream viewers discussed in confusion, their eyes glued dryly to the screen, afraid to miss any details.

It didn’t keep everyone waiting too long, as Yang Shu’s sigh drew all eyes immediately.

He glared coldly at the principal: ”You as a principal are doing a much commendable job, and this is how your school treats you after meritorious service.”

The principal immediately freaked out: ”I am not aware of this matter, it must be this Guo Yi, habitually deceiving superiors and deluding subordinates, it must be this student offended him, thus incurring his revenge.”

This expert-level skill in passing the buck couldn’t be honed in less than a decade.

Even Ning An, having lived two lifetimes, seemed like a rookie at passing the buck compared to Principal Wang.

The principal, seeing the dissatisfied Yang Shu, had his eyes fluttered before another idea surged into his mind.

He turned to look at the canteen staff, then shouted:

”Quickly notify the back kitchen to prepare offerings for the hero, to the highest standards!”

Yang Shu didn’t speak but the frost in his eyes didn’t thaw much.
