Ning An's Wild Wish System

”What? This kid is supported by the state? Is his family a board member of a state-owned enterprise, lacking no money, or is he a wealthy young man born with a delicate appetite?”

”I think you’ve read too many romance novels. Even if he is a rich kid with a delicate stomach, what’s placed in front of him would never be just a bowl of rice and a bowl of miserly clear broth!”

”Could it be that he offended the school? No, even if he did offend the school, his family wouldn’t just ignore it. If my mom knew I was being mistreated at school, she’d definitely bring my uncles and raise havoc at the school so that no one would dare bully me!”

No need to say more.

Someone had indeed hit the truth.

Meanwhile, the viewers in the livestream also realized what was going on.

”Dang it! What you’re saying makes sense. If a child of yours was eating like that at school, no matter how timid the parents are, they’d definitely go all out against the school.”

”Oh my god, is this kid really so pitiful? He’s just in middle school. All alone like that, he must be getting bullied.”

”Leader, leader, please open your eyes, I beg you, please look at this child. This child is really too pitiful!”

”...”

As if responding to the pleas of the viewer or perhaps unmoved by the principal’s high emotional intelligence, Yang Shu went straight to the child.

The principal instantly broke out in a cold sweat.

He nervously followed Yang Shu, his eyes glued to those two small bowls.

No one knew how many thoughts flashed through his mind at that moment.

”Student, student...”

The sorrowful Wang Zihao, who was eating quietly, was lost in his melancholy thoughts.

Only when Yang Shu lightly tapped his shoulder did his thoughts return.

”Lea... Leader, are you calling me?”

Seeing Wang Zihao’s nervousness, Yang Shu tried to speak more gently:

”Yes, I’ve called you several times. When you didn’t respond, I had to tap you.”

Wang Zihao awkwardly explained: ”I... I was just thinking about something, so...”

”I understand, I understand,” Yang Shu slowed his speech, trying not to startle Wang Zihao, then pointed at the two bowls with curiosity:

”Student, why are you just eating this? Can you really get full on this?”

Hearing this, Wang Zihao, already nervous, became even more tense.

He glanced around slowly and spotted the principal not far away.

And not far from the principal was a familiar yet unfamiliar camera.

At that moment, his emotions suddenly flared up.

He hung his head low and slammed the two bowls in front of him.

Walt?

Everyone was bewildered.

Yang Shu, also confused, asked, ”Student, what’s this?”

Wang Zihao frantically shoved rice into his mouth, choking out:

”I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I... I know this is bad, but I can’t afford... Those meals are too expensive, and only this soup is free...”

The livestream exploded instantly!

”No, dude, is this really what I’m seeing and hearing? You don’t know how easily I cry; isn’t this deliberately trying to make me sob hard?”

”Oh my god, this kid can’t even get enough to eat. Brother Sect Leader, what’s going on? Saying the country will take care of him, huh!”

”This school’s ridiculous! It’s bad enough they feed students pig food; now they’re trying to starve one to death?”

”No, I went to middle school too, the country provides scholarships for impoverished families, where’s the money? Did the principal take it for lavish meals?”

”Report! We must report this immediately!”

”...”

Watching the comments in the livestream, Ning An was silent for a moment.

However, Ning An still said: ”Don’t worry, I’m not wrong.”

”As for giving harsh punishment to those involved, and all the juicy details you want, none will be missed.”

The Dharma Eye can’t see a person’s past, but it can see blessings and fortune.

Combined with the system’s consistent style, Ning An actually understood what’s happening.

However.

What Ning An said at this moment, the viewers didn’t believe.

They only knew that the child before them was so thin he was disfigured and couldn’t even afford to eat.

In view of this.

Ning An did not offer any further explanation.

Just blew into the camera, and said:

”Dear viewers, keep watching. Perhaps the story’s ending isn’t predetermined at the beginning.”

...

Yang Shu was silent for a moment.

”Student, you’re just eating rice...”

”I’m sorry, principal, I know I’ve embarrassed our school.”

Wang Zihao hung his head, gobbling the rice in front of him, his expression unreadable:

”But... but I really have no money, so I went to other students’ leftover bowls for some. I’ll finish quickly, I promise.”

Perhaps he was too agitated, or maybe his movements were frantic.

The money in his pocket all fell to the ground.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

But unlike normal people, who would have banknotes in their pockets, all he had were coins.

The coins clattered on the smooth marble of the cafeteria floor with a crisp, clear sound.

Yang Shu said nothing, quietly bending down to pick up each coin.

There were dimes, nickels, and one yuan coins.

Altogether there were about a dozen coins on the ground, totaling less than five yuan.

With every coin Yang Shu picked up, his heart ached a bit more, and with every piece he collected, he felt worse.

By the time he finished picking up all the coins, his heart was a mix of complex emotions.

Putting the coins back into Wang Zihao’s pocket, Yang Shu turned a cold gaze towards the principal, examining him from top to bottom, then gave him a fierce look.

Now the principal was genuinely panicked, with tiny beads of sweat on his forehead.

With what Wang Zihao just said, he realized his career as a principal might be over.

He hurriedly stepped forward, explaining to Yang Shu: ”Our school’s rice and soup are usually free and unlimited.”

Then quickly turned to Wang Zihao, asking half in inquiry, half in threat: ”Student, which class are you in? What’s your name? Why didn’t you report your situation to the school? Rest assured, the school won’t let you down...”

”How kind.”

Wang Zihao suddenly spoke, interrupting the principal.

He slowly lifted his head, his eyes misty: ”Thank you, principal. Today’s my birthday, thank you for letting me have free rice from the cafeteria. I haven’t really eaten properly for several days.”

No way!

Oh, dear ancestor!

”Lea... Leader, the cafeteria’s rice has always been free, really,” the principal panicked.

At this point, he no longer cared about his dignity; nothing mattered more than self-preservation.

Yang Shu didn’t bother to guess what the principal was thinking, his gaze forcing him back.

Yang Shu sighed silently, patting Wang Zihao’s back with his hand:

”Student, in your situation, you can apply for government scholarships from the school.”

This was intended as a gesture of goodwill, but Wang Zihao seemed frightened, leaping from his seat and exclaiming:

”I don’t want, I don’t want, I don’t want the scholarship, please, I really don’t want it.”

”The class monitor diligently serves us; I have nothing to repay the monitor; I willingly give up the scholarship, I genuinely give it up...”

The principal’s view darkened.

It’s over!

The sky has fallen!

At this moment, the viewers in the livestream were no longer anxious.

If it were ordinary human suffering, they would be angry and sympathetic.

But Wang Zihao before them wasn’t just human suffering; it was practically a human tragedy!

As long as the leader before them wasn’t blind, and as long as the principal wanted to continue his career, Wang Zihao would surely be provided for.

Moreover, this scenario was being broadcast not only on television but also in Ning An’s livestream.

If Wang Zihao didn’t receive justice, the viewers in the livestream would certainly demand justice for him.

”Laugh out loud! Now the principal, this old fox, must be shouting ’it’s over!’ louder than anyone.”

”Principal: Feels a chill on the neck, is it still possible to restart now?”

”Leader: ??? I think you already found your way to destruction!”

”The principal isn’t really a villain, we shouldn’t be too critical of him. How about this, punish him by making him leave the highest floor of the library, but he can’t use the elevator or stairs.”
