Ning An's Wild Wish System

Amidst the blood-red thunder, the Thunder Dragon roamed, spraying black light. Various massive Thunder Dragons descended, forming a realm of thunder punishment, destroying everything in its path!

As the blood-red color slowly faded, the Thunder Ancestor Hall gradually became clear.

The Bodhisattva clay statue, along with all offerings, had turned completely to ashes, but that was not the main point.

Inside the hall, the previously clean pillars were suddenly carved with a Thunder Ancestor’s Dharma appearance by the Thunder Dragon!

Wow!

After seeing this scene clearly, everyone in the live stream was in an uproar.

”Huh? No, this... how is this possible! This isn’t right, am I seeing things?”

”Someone summoning lightning? I already found it astonishingly extraordinary. Lightning entering the hall and only destroying Buddhist items—I thought I was reading a novel. But this, carving a Thunder Ancestor’s Dharma appearance out of nowhere, is just too ridiculous!”

”No, no, guys, look, this is the Thunder Ancestor Hall. Thunder Ancestor controls thunder and lightning, right? If you think about it this way, it makes sense.”

”Makes sense, my ass! How can this be the same? If it was a craftsman carving, there wouldn’t be a problem. Even if some animal made the pillar like this and fooled me, I might believe it, as long as it’s a living creature, there’s a possibility, even if it’s small.

But dammit, this lightning is dead, yet it can carve a Thunder Ancestor’s Dharma appearance after destroying Buddhist clay statues? It’s too sentient!”

”Bro, Daoist Masters can already summon lightning, they’re no longer ordinary people. Why are you still looking at this with mortal eyes, just like how the Great Qing citizens once called trains monsters.”

”Looks like the secrecy ordinance from ’99 can’t be kept any longer!”

”...”

Li Daocheng looked at the Thunder Ancestor’s Dharma appearance that had materialized on the pillar inside the hall, feeling deeply saddened for a moment.

”Disciple is unfilial, caused the Thunder Ancestor to be stained with shame!”

”Thunder Ancestor, disciple is a descendant of the Zhengyi Shenxiao Sect, the current Temple Master of Qing Daoist Temple, dao name Cangnan!”

”Disciple sensed destiny and descended the mountain for a sojourn half a year ago, but unexpectedly, the place of cultivation was seized by villains, incense offerings ceased, and the Thunder Ancestor Statue was lost. Disciple is guilty!”

Li Daocheng’s voice was like a deep bell, carrying a touch of sorrow, as he bowed thrice toward the inside of the hall.

”Disciple is unfilial, and has yet to find the mastermind, only capturing a few lackeys. Disciple will first have them apologize to the Thunder Ancestor!”

With that, Li Daocheng stood up and, like lifting a chicken, brought over two black-robed Martial Monks, placing them at the door of the hall.

”What are you doing, what do you plan to do!”

”We’re all cultivators, violence will sever our path!”

The black-robed Martial Monks dared not struggle, only continuously begging for mercy, hoping the other side would let them go.

Li Daocheng wouldn’t care what they thought, or rather, when they brazenly occupied this place, had they not thought of this day?

Ridiculous!

”Thunder Ancestor, disciple is having the villains apologize!”

Suddenly, the two black-robed Martial Monks felt a mountain-like pressure on their necks, an unparalleled force pressing down on them.

Their sixth sense was on overdrive, urging them to bow or they’d die!

Unmatched power forced them to bow sharply, bodies leaning, followed by their foreheads hitting the floor heavily.

”Boom!”

Their foreheads smashed heavily on the stone tiles at the door.

Instantly, the stone tiles cracked, and a bloody gash appeared on their foreheads, with crimson liquid continually flowing out.

Though they were Martial Monks, already Entered the Dao, they were too severely injured to have spare strength to protect their heads.

Moreover, the head is inherently a weak spot for humans; even in peak condition, this head banging could lead to severe bleeding.

At this moment, both men felt dizzy, as if they saw the majestic figure of the Buddha in the heavens.

Yet before they could recover, that overwhelming force came from their necks again.

”Thunder Ancestor above, the villains have apologized!”

”Sinners kowtow!”

After repeatedly bowing their heads, their foreheads were completely blood-soaked.

If someone placed a finger before their eyes, they could see two fingers, perhaps even more.

You must know, their exceptional talents from a young age were why they were chosen as Martial Monks.

While cultivating Buddhist Martial Arts, their progress surpassed their fellow brothers, as if the skills were custom made for them.

Where others might need three to five days to grasp a move, a year or two to have minor achievements, and three to five years for mastery,

For them, the same move could be mastered in at most three practices, with minor achievements in a day, and mastery in a week.

The more they practiced Buddhist Cultivation Techniques, the more exhilarating it became, even speeding up their learning pace.

Their master found this abnormal cultivation speed peculiar and brought them to see the temple’s head monk.

After carefully examining them, the head monk said nothing more than:

”They have a connection with Buddhism.”

Though he said little, the two could still see the sorrow in the head monk’s eyes.

By the next day, their yellow robes were replaced with black ones, and they were transformed from Martial Monks to temple guards.

And in today’s law-abiding society, even when their temple hadn’t moved, there was seldom any trouble, naturally rendering their intervention unnecessary.

Even if troublemakers came, the temple’s Martial Monks could easily subdue them.

Without a Balancer of All Things, however many troublemakers came, they could handle them.

But now, the temple’s Martial Monks have been completely incapacitated. This was their first intervention, yet ended up like other monks, being incapacitated too.

What was most terrifying wasn’t Li Daocheng’s formidable martial arts, but his divine skill of summoning lightning.

No matter how strong in martial arts, there’s always a limit; arm strength of a thousand catties and lifting a tripod are the peak of martial prowess!

But cultivators learn Daoist Skills, the great Dao of heaven and earth, how can you compete with them!

Such a grand commotion had long alerted the heavens and earth here, naturally including the head monk.

Though internally trembling, his face remained calm as he rushed over.

”Sin, sin.”

The head monk, with kind eyes and amiable expressions, long beard and white hair, had a compassionate demeanor.

Seeing the scenes before him, he sighed, joined hands in prayer, and bowed repeatedly to each empty hall.

”Daoist friend, I know you hold grievances, whatever grievances you have, you can take it out on us monks.”

”Indeed, we were at fault first, thinking you, Daoist, had transcended, hence applied to move here.”

”I’ll acknowledge all losses to this Daoist Temple, compensate as per value, and ensure a prompt move to return the temple to you, Daoist friend.”

”But why vent your anger on innocent Bodhisattva statues, shattering the accumulated merit of countless Incense Burners.”

”With the golden body shattered and merits scattered.”

”We monks, suffering a little doesn’t matter, but what have innocent Incense Burners done? They’re just ordinary people.”

Li Daocheng almost burst into laughter upon hearing this.

For fuck’s sake!

You haven’t learned a bit of Mahayana Buddhism, don’t even glance at Theravada Buddhism, but your conspiracy rhetoric is like a pig with a bra, one trick after another!

Isn’t it disgusting?

The viewers in the live stream couldn’t stand it anymore, all riled up.

”For fuck’s sake, this kind of false argument is the real standard response of a Shenlun exam!”

”Fuck you! I already had little goodwill towards Buddhism, but now it’s all negative reviews, inverting black and white, shifting the blame, truly fucking disgusting!”

”Isn’t the filth of the Buddhist family rare? Did you not see that many of the Bodhisattvas they worship are for blessings of many children and prosperity? Don’t you know why in ancient times, such Bodhisattvas were so effective, that once a woman prayed to them, she had a high chance of getting pregnant?”

”Ah, why?”

”Because beneath such Bodhisattva statues, there were often secret chambers in most temples, and when women came to pray, monks would take them inside.”
