Ning An's Wild Wish System

These old guys won’t retire, and they keep holding onto resources. Anyone wanting a promotion is just dreaming.

What’s scarier is, even if these old guys retire, why would they give the resources to these young people they barely know?

They have kids, and instead of giving to outsiders, why not keep it in the family?

Even if they don’t have kids, maybe they’re into not getting married, but they have relatives and friends. Favoring logic over relationships doesn’t have a chance in reality.

The current job environment is getting tougher. On one hand, it’s the worsening economic situation, and on the other, it’s the upper-level cake that can’t be divided.

Whether it’s creating new positions and industries to increase resources, or dividing the upper-level cake to reallocate, neither is possible at this stage.

As a result, the path for ordinary people to advance is narrowing, and the pressure is increasing.

About a decade ago, if you asked a kid about their dream, they’d proudly say they want to be an astronaut, a scientist, or a teacher.

But now, if you ask a kid their dream, they’d seriously say they want to be a web celebrity, the kind that becomes hugely famous!

No other reason than the social changes that far exceed everyone’s expectations.

Listening to Hua Jiaojiao’s complaints, the chat room was filled with indignant viewers.

But aside from staying silent, Ning An could only keep refilling Hua Jiaojiao’s tea.

He’s just a little Daoist, willing but unable.

Even if he becomes immortal one day, this isn’t something he could solve.

His ability to change people’s hearts is practically zero.

”Sorry, Little Daoist.”

Realizing she might have over-talked, Hua Jiaojiao blushed and apologized awkwardly, waving her hand: ”I just couldn’t hold it in for a moment, disturbed your peace, sorry, sorry.”

”It’s fine.”

Ning An again handed the tea in front of her, smiling: ”They say Daoists are more like Dragon Country People’s therapists. Miss Hua is willing to confide and rant to Little Daoist, that’s a sign of trust, an honor for Little Daoist.”

”Little Daoist...”

Hua Jiaojiao was so moved she was almost in tears, about to say something when her phone rang.

”Sorry, let me take this call.”

Looking at her phone, seeing Xiaowang calling, Hua Jiaojiao thought maybe something’s wrong, she hurriedly answered:

”Xiaowang, what’s up? Did something happen?”

There was a pause on the other end, then a voice said: ”Sis, all’s good, I finished the company team-building plan.”

”You finished it?”

Hua Jiaojiao was a bit puzzled.

Xiaowang came to the company a year ago, has been following her since, she knows his skill level well.

In other areas, Xiaowang is fine, learns fast, but when it comes to writing plans, it’s just not great.

But Hua Jiaojiao didn’t express any disdain, instead smiling and saying: ”Nice, taking some pressure off your boss, okay, tell me, let me hear what you’ve written.”

The voice on the phone said quietly: ”Since it’s company team building, we definitely need to see some flowers and nature, so the first morning our activity is hiking!”

Hua Jiaojiao initially had some expectations, but after hearing this, internally she cursed.

Seriously, dude, what were you thinking?

Work is exhausting enough, and now hiking.

She was about to kindly reject the proposal when Xiaowang chuckled and said:

”Sis, you know that client who used to curse our company out completely bankrupt, is now raising chickens on that mountain.”

Hua Jiaojiao paused: ”Really?!”

”So, Sis, don’t you think everyone would want to go see?”
