Ning An's Wild Wish System

”Brother Sect Leader, we can’t blame others for this. If there’s anyone to blame, it would be ourselves for being too excellent. What can you do if you’re too excellent?”

”Hahaha, to be honest, if I had the skills like my brother, I’d directly join a government organization. In the current job market, it’s just too tough.”

”Dude, wake up, your assessment and application reasoning must be muddled! If you have such skills, why not go directly to Hong Kong? Find a few rich businessmen, and you’d be set for life, no need to rely on a government job.”

”...”

The livestream was bustling, completely turning Ning An’s livestream into a group chat.

This was not only due to the very effective ancestor they worshiped, but also due to Ning An’s contributions.

Who wouldn’t like a handsome and skilled Little Daoist?

...

”Your résumé is quite impressive, fitting our company’s talent requirements.”

”However, looking at the job history on your resume, you’ve changed jobs three times in the short span of three months since graduation. Could you explain why?”

While Ning An’s livestream was bustling, in an office building in the center of Z City, Ink Game Company was conducting interviews.

Hua Jiaojiao, as a senior employee and HR manager, naturally took on the task of interviewing.

In the conference room, the candidate across the table spoke eloquently and at length.

”It’s not my problem; it’s purely that the bosses at those places were the stupidest of the stupid!”

The straightforward young candidate said: ”I’m here to work, not to be a slave for them. Why should I work overtime for free?”

”I don’t mind working overtime if you provide enough overtime pay. But these companies absurdly require us to send emails to our leaders to get overtime pay.”

”But when I sent those emails, they never responded. When I pressed them, they said the upper management needs to approve. Isn’t that just idiotic?”

”For such idiotic companies, I didn’t see any reason to stay, so I made a scene and quit.”

The candidate’s honest and clear manner made Hua Jiaojiao involuntarily twitch the corner of her mouth.

A really gutsy move!

Just as the internet says, the first thing the class of 2000 graduates do after graduating is to reform the workplace.

To the working class, such a candidate is a blessing.

But Hua Jiaojiao, as HR, for her own sake, could only discreetly put him on the blacklist.

After all, she was the one who hired him.

If one day this guy got upset and impulsively sued the company, she, the recruiting HR, wouldn’t be able to continue her job.

Thinking of this, her gaze returned to the resume.

The candidate had a bachelor’s degree, and compared to other applicants with graduate degrees of the same period, he had a very strong competitive edge: he graduated from a 985 university!

But as appealing as the resume is, the issue of job-hopping is just too critical!

Not to mention anything else, even if such a person is hired, trained, they won’t cause trouble, but what if they hop jobs?

You can’t exactly let a janitor fill in.

”Let me ask, if your project is on a tight schedule, you wouldn’t consider working overtime for a week, right?”

”Of course not! When I first graduated, I thought working overtime was fine if there was pay, but my mindset has changed now! I work diligently during work hours, whether the project is completed or not is not my concern.”

The candidate said indignantly: ”Surely it’s your company’s scheduling problem, it should be you reflecting on it. What’s it got to do with me, why should I work overtime?”

Hua Jiaojiao wanted to salvage the situation a bit:

”If the company is willing to pay the overtime fee on time, would you consider doing overtime?”

The candidate looked at her like she was an idiot: ”Isn’t that what normal companies should do? Why is it being talked about as a benefit here? My answer is definite, absolutely not! I haven’t even enjoyed the world enough, why should I spend all my time here?”

”Besides, if you want to buy my time, at least show some sincerity. In ancient times, even raising dead warriors required big money.”

...

After a chaotic mess, the interview ended.

Hua Jiaojiao slumped against the back of her chair, pressing her nose to relieve her fatigue.

But before she could rest for a few minutes, a sharp and urgent phone ringing ensued.

Knock knock knock!

The sound grew increasingly urgent, as if a death knell, getting louder and louder.

”Hello, President Pan.”

Forcing away her fatigue, Hua Jiaojiao squeezed out a smile and answered the phone.

”The company is going to have a team building soon, and I think the past plans have been too dull. Today, I would like your team to come up with a few new plans, they must be innovative and profound...”

On the other end, the words flowed freely.

Hua Jiaojiao held the phone, her face alternating between black and blue, pursed her lips and said nothing.

Damn it!

Creating one plan requires their team to work overtime for several hours.

And now create several plans?

It’s as if they’re made of iron and don’t need to sleep at all!

As if sensing something off, the person on the other end paused, chuckled, and asked:

”Is the workload too much? If you think it’s too much, just forget I said anything.”

”No, no, I think you’re absolutely right, rest assured, we’ll work hard and be sure to finish your instructions on time!”

”Good, then I await your plans.”

The other end was very satisfied with this attitude and after some small talk, hung up.

”Shit! Shit!”

Hua Jiaojiao dropped the act, and vented her emotions like crazy in the meeting room.

She is indeed an HR manager. To ordinary employees, she’s considered middle management of the company.

But Hua Jiaojiao knows well that even as an HR manager, or even the head of human resources, in the company she’s just a worker.

If she dared to reject the management’s opinions today, someone could replace her position tomorrow!

She also wants to learn from that college student and fiercely reform the workplace, and she’d do it in a much more sophisticated manner.

But she can’t!

Above her are two elderly people to care for, and below are two money-guzzling beasts to feed, even her husband recently had his salary technically adjusted due to the poor economic environment, forced to take a thirty percent pay cut.

In such a situation, how dare she learn from the Gen Zers to reshape the workplace.

If she did, the result would be she hasn’t reshaped the workplace, but instead got reshaped by it.

After venting, Hua Jiaojiao calmed down and called in her assistant:

”Xiaowang, please tell everyone, today we’ll have to work overtime again and come up with three company team building plans.”

Xiaowang looked troubled: ”Sis, this... people have been working overtime for half a month straight, some who live far away haven’t been home for half a month, this continuing... could cause issues.”

Hua Jiaojiao hesitated, then sighed: ”Let’s just ask everyone to bear with it a little longer, I’ll order some milk tea for everyone later.”

Hearing this, Xiaowang held back his words.

From a rookie to now becoming Hua Jiaojiao’s assistant, he’s learned the ways of the world, when to speak, when not to, all are crucial.

”Alright, sis, I understand.”

Once Xiaowang left, Hua Jiaojiao slumped back into the chair.

She didn’t want it to be like this, but what could she do?

The workplace environment in Dragon Country is just that harsh, if you don’t work there’s always someone who will!

Not just her, even Master Wang and another hundred like him can’t change anything!

Master Wang’s only effect is increasing their workload!

Her only hope now is for a set of team-building plans that satisfy the higher-ups to come out soon.

Then they won’t have to work all night, and can get a bit more sleep tonight.

The sooner the better!

”Hmm? The sooner the better?”

Suddenly, Hua Jiaojiao seemed to have thought of something and sat up abruptly:

”If I remember correctly, Changchun Temple’s wishes are not only effective but also the Immortals respond swiftly, right!”
