Ning An's Wild Wish System

There’s a saying that goes well: The differences between people are greater than those between species.

Just like you lying in bed, if one day, when you read this, you’re suddenly told that cultivation methods are real in this world, what would you think?

The process is nearly the same: first, there’s a sneer, finding it abstract, always doubting, probing for truth and falsehood, and finally, confusion, shock.

After formal confirmation, people no longer behave the same way; some are steady, some develop secretly, some have their ”chuunibyou” explode, some furrow their brows, drawing everyone around them...

But Lin Baiwei was different; she directly skipped the abstract and half-believing stages, jumping straight to shock.

She had only one thought in her mind: Brother Ning is practicing an evil technique, I caught him, won’t he kill me to silence me!

”What’s this talk about evil cultivation? Brother practices proper Daoist methods.”

Lin Yanke laughed madly, while Ning An also had a dark face, feeling somewhat helpless.

He truly didn’t expect that the Five Ghosts, invisible to ordinary people, were seen through by Lin Baiwei at a glance, causing a huge misunderstanding.

Ning An said somewhat exasperatedly: ”I’m not an evil cultivator, remember that.”

”Don’t worry, Brother! You’re definitely not an evil cultivator, and even if you were, that’s just others looking down on us; we’d refine them for sure!” Lin Baiwei vowed confidently.

Done!

Ning An was completely embarrassed; his image was beyond saving!

”Hahaha, just joking, my sister is here too, if you were an evil cultivator, she’d be the first to not let you off, hehe.”

Then, Lin Baiwei returned to her lively self, excitedly saying: ”So, what are you guys planning to teach me! I’ve been waiting impatiently!”

”Hahaha.”

Ning An smiled and then said: ”My main cultivation technique isn’t something you can practice for now, but I have an auxiliary technique here, which, when practiced to the extreme, can master all great beasts and understand the universe.”

”I practice in the talismanic arts.” Lin Yanke said simply and clearly.

”What, is that it?”

Lin Baiwei pouted, feeling a bit annoyed, saying: ”Cousin, take it seriously, I’m still your sister.”

”Essential for tricking people, one strike kills!” Lin Yanke spat out eight words.

Oh dear!

Ning An rubbed his nose, feeling that the talismanic arts were indeed enviable.

There’s no choice; just the phrase ’essential for tricking people’ would make any Dragon Country person intrigued.

Plus, the power is great; he also thickened his skin to learn it, but unfortunately, his talent points might all be in cheating mode.

Then, the two explained these two paths to Lin Baiwei for her to decide.

”I...”

Lin Baiwei slightly reluctantly inspected both sides, learning she could only practice one technique, and decisively said: ”I want to practice talismanic arts!”

Oh dear!

Not unexpected by the two, because even though Spiritual Qi is reviving, with mutated creatures appearing, they’re no match in front of modern firearms.

It’s impossible to really control a bunch of mosquitoes to win by draining someone’s blood, right?

”Talismanic arts are incredibly complex, are you sure about this?” Lin Yanke asked.

”I’m sure, just the talismanic arts!” Lin Baiwei put away her mischievousness and answered earnestly.

”Alright, let’s eat first; after the meal, we’ll start.”

...

In talismanic arts, I practice the ”Supreme Secret Technique House-Suppressing Talisman,” recorded in the orthodox Daoist Canon of the True Grotto God Talisman Class, a traditional Taoist talisman!

Before grasping Daoist skills, you need to first enter through this gate...

...

Initially meditate, practice meditation, fully relax internally and externally;

Lower the eyelids to guard the ancestral aperture, tongue closed to let saliva form naturally;

Breathe deeply in a slow, consistent rhythm, with calm mind and halted thoughts, this is proper practice;

Forget both body and mind in the stillness of thousands, finding exquisite joy within;

Pinch morning and midnight, eliminate distractions, cultivating ancestral energy until the mysterious gate appears... smack!

In the room, Lin Yanke held a vine stick, without hesitation, hitting Lin Baiwei’s hand: ”Don’t get distracted!”

”I wasn’t, I wasn’t, I heard it, just thinking too deeply... ah!”

Lin Baiwei was making excuses when struck again, only to hear Lin Yanke scold: ”What are you even thinking! First, wipe the saliva from the corner of your mouth and continue!”

”Wuwuwu.”

Lin Baiwei frowned, repositioning herself, embracing her core.

Lin Yanke nodded, continuing: ”Building the foundation depends entirely on this, ultimate stillness leads to the emergence of one yang;

The initial movement of one yang is unintentional, gathering Qi requires first raising the root;

Inhale through the Governor Vessel ascending to the Niwan Palace, exhale down the Ren Vessel descending to the Huiyin;

Guide the Qi with the spirit through circulation around heaven and earth, rising from behind and falling to the front turning FL;

Seven breaths, yang doesn’t retreat... smack! smack! smack! You’re distracted again!”

”Ow! It hurts, Sis, be gentle.”

Lin Baiwei was almost crying from the pain; several whips made her arm turn red.

She didn’t mean to get distracted; it’s just that somehow, listening to this feels as painful as listening to college calculus, the more she listens, the sleepier she gets, the more she wants to sleep.

For someone like her with hyperactivity, making her calm down and cultivate a bunch of difficult things was less enjoyable than being cut.

But the path to cultivation is inherently tedious and unexciting; there’s no shortcut to success.

Meditation alone eliminates more than eighty percent of people—not easy at all?

Thus, Lin Yanke’s teaching method was straightforward: first don’t teach the technique, instead grind away the impatience, and when she could maintain her calm even in the busy city, then proceed to the next step.

Plus, since she was her own sister, Lin Yanke wouldn’t hold back, or else she wouldn’t be able to suppress her.

As long as Lin Baiwei got distracted, a few more vine lashes would follow, and after just a few attempts, the little girl’s arms were thoroughly swollen, unable to hold back wailing: ”Wuwu... Uncle lied to me, said cultivation was the life of an immortal, liar... wuwu...”
