Ning An's Wild Wish System

”Are you not looking, or do you not know how to look?” Yang Anbang’s tone was subtle, like a half-smile.

”Alright then.”

Lu Taiyi shook his head with a smile, seriously examining his face and said, ”The Buddhist Family says: with a heart but no form, the form follows the heart. I can see your sky is high and earth thick, soil is sound and collapsing, the house palace has moles, hidden rhinoceros eye kindness, naturally wealthy, your family must be either rich or noble.”

”Oh.”

Yang Anbang was full of suspicion. After all, he had come with Wang Tao, and even if his identity was not introduced, it was evident that he was no ordinary person, which didn’t prove much.

”Could young friend write down the eight characters?”

”The master can even read eight characters?” Yang Anbang was somewhat curious.

”I’m somewhat versed in the study of life charts.”

Lu Taiyi picked up the eight characters, repeatedly marveling, ”The daytime element is Jia, Yi Wood, the earthly branches gather Yin Wu Xu, already Wu Wei, the heavenly stems don’t see Wang Gui Water breaking the bureau, wood and fire are flourishing, the life chart’s momentum is clear and transparent, this is a top-tier life chart of wood and fire clarity.”

Then, Lu Taiyi continued, ”The fire is strong, can lead to being overly dry, lacking the moisture of water and wet soil, may I boldly ask, is there an ancient pair of stone lions at your front door?”

”Hiss!”

Yang Anbang was stunned now, there were indeed two stone lions at his front door, but could this really be determined through a life chart?

Yang Anbang didn’t speak, rather Lu Taiyi kept on talking: ”If I observed correctly, the stone lions guarding the premises ward off evil, but at the same time press down your soul, if I am not mistaken, you have been impotent in affairs since childhood.”

”You’re talking nonsense!”

Yang Anbang instantly flew into a rage, stood up and cursed: ”You this...”

”I can treat it.”

”How can a living immortal like you drink this kind of tea?”

”Come, change the tea, bring good tea!”

When the real Dahongpao tea came, he personally poured Lu Taiyi a cup, explaining, ”Master, don’t be offended, there are too many charlatans these days, earlier was my fault.”

Lu Taiyi tapped the table with two fingers, smiled faintly and said, ”Don’t worry, it’s understandable, being cautious is better than being conned and still counting money.”

”May I ask, master, how do you make a living normally?”

After drinking the tea, Lu Taiyi said, ”I’m a barefoot doctor, just roaming around the village.”

Yang Anbang felt admiration: ”An expert like you treating the poor is totally overqualified, not to join the government is truly a waste of talent for you.”

”You are mistaken, saving one life is better than building a seven-story pagoda, it’s all fate, there’s no difference between high and low.”

Lu Taiyi put down the teacup, naturally, ”Additionally, cultivation achieves freedom, speaks of fate, entering the system, where is the ultimate freedom then.”

One person talking, two people listening, the speaker doesn’t find it boring, the listeners don’t find it dull, quickly it went from noon to sunset.

Lu Taiyi looked at the time, smiled and stood up: ”Time is not early, I have to return first, during the day when I’m not around, villagers can catch a ride with fellow villagers who have cars to come to the city for treatment, at night it’s not possible.”

”Master, your righteousness, if that is the case, I won’t keep you today, tomorrow, I will certainly pay a visit.” Yang Anbang also stood up, respectfully sending him out.

”Alright, if you wish to come, Xiao Tao knows where my home is.”

After Lu Taiyi got into the designated car arranged by Wang Tao and left, the excitement on Yang Anbang’s face instantly dissipated, turning into calmness.

He turned to Wang Tao and said: ”Taozi, give me his profile, I’ll take another look.”

”Ah? What, Iron, you...” Wang Tao snapped back to reality, somewhat shocked.

Earlier in the conference room, Yang Anbang’s excitement was no less than his; he had always thought Yang Anbang already deemed him an expert.

Unexpectedly, the excitement and enthusiasm Yang Anbang showed just now were all an act.

”Taozi, harmful intentions are not acceptable, defensive intentions are necessary.”

Yang Anbang had meant to say something profound, but seeing the bewildered Wang Tao, he only managed to constrict it to this sentence.

”Of course, not saying I don’t believe, but cannot fully believe, truly want me to believe, then let’s see what he’ll do tomorrow.”

He patted his shoulder with a hint of sympathy, then turned to go upstairs.

Wang Family moving in grandfather’s generation, now in Yang Anbang’s view, was really the right choice.

Someone like Wang Tao, lacking wits, in the Capital City’s cutthroat environment, wouldn’t survive for long.

...

About an hour later, Lu Taiyi was finally sent back home.

The so-called home was actually three abandoned cave dwellings in the village, he fixed them up and just used them.

Unlocking the door, he went straight to the room on the west side.

Pushing aside a pile of old items, revealing a wooden board noticeably different from its surroundings.

Opening the wooden board, through a wooden ladder, aided by the flashlight, twisting and turning, he reached the innermost part of the cellar.

”Zzz!”

Flint rolled, and the surrounding red candles were lit one by one, revealing the surrounding environment.

All around was wrapped in gold tin, looking splendid and magnificent, in front of the secret room, was a shrine covered by a layer of red cloth.

Lu Taiyi first kowtowed respectfully several times, then uncovered the red cloth, looking at the shrine, his eyes were full of limitless desire and greed.

The shrine was carved from pear wood, brushed with a layer of tung oil, to ensure maximum preservation from corrosion, golden yellow timber, the deity grinned wearing a broad smile, reclining chest exposed, lying in the center.

On each side of the shrine, inscribed were five small words:

Sakyamuni Buddha declines, Maitreya Buddha holds the world.

...

”Speaking of which, all my skills were taught by an ascetic monk before, as to where he came from, where he went, which temple he stayed, he didn’t say, and I didn’t ask, as the Buddhist Family says, a chance meeting, is thus fate.”

”Last century, in fact, there were quite a few such extraordinary people, but the current dynasty is extremely dismissive of these professions, often branding them with feudal superstition, numerous minor sects were eradicated and temples demolished, even those orthodox Buddhists and Taoists had to surrender, not daring to violate the laws, despite the fact that now the world is opening up, still bowing heads and being humble, which is why I dislike official involvement.”

The next day, Yang Anbang and Wang Tao arrived as promised, Lu Taiyi sat on the worn-out sofa and narrated this story smoothly.

”The ascetic monk did have genuine abilities; I practiced with him for just two months, and I could already see the threshold, the monk saw my affinity with Buddha, and before leaving, left me a book of Buddhist Teachings, instructing me to recite day and night, greatly beneficial.”

”Speaking of which, it’s shameful, crossing the threshold for less than a month, took a step forward, but wasted more than twenty years, thinking about it is somewhat embarrassing.”

Wang Tao quickly chimed in: ”Master, you are too modest, if you feel ashamed, should we ordinary folks just find a block of tofu, and bash our heads?”

Yang Anbang looked around curiously: ”Have you ever thought about passing your skills to your descendants?”

Lu Taiyi chuckled: ”Not to mention having descendants, considering my conditions, probably no one would want to be with me, it’s fine being alone.”

Yang Anbang and Wang Tao exchanged a glance, then Yang Anbang casually said:

”You could accept a disciple after all, as they say, a disciple is like half a son, who could care for you in old age and at the end.”

”Well, my skills, although not very impressive, have at least stepped in the door, with some abilities, choosing a good disciple, naturally is fine, but if I choose mistakenly and pick a disciple steeped in sin, wouldn’t I then be a sinner?”

Lu Taiyi sipped the tea calmly and said: ”This can’t be rushed either, fate will naturally occur, when destined, it will naturally be seen.”

”Master, your righteousness, we are in awe.”

Yang Anbang complimented, then took out a bank card from his pocket, placed it on the tea table, pushed it towards Lu Taiyi: ”Master, this is a token of our appreciation, consider it incense money for when you open your school.”

Then, he pointed to the slightly cracked wall, and said: ”Master Bodhisattva’s heart, we cannot be humbled, just in time I have an apartment in Z City that’s been vacant, tomorrow you can move in.”

Lu Taiyi pushed the card back: ”How can one accept incense money before even establishing a school, it’d be shameful to accept, couldn’t take it.”

”Master, with your skills, that day is surely not far, please accept it.”

”No...”

After three refusals, Lu Taiyi reluctantly accepted the card.

Then, after briefly chatting, the two left.

Once they left, Lu Taiyi picked up the bank card, checking the account balance, the password was attached to the card, quite thoughtful.

This was surprising upon checking, the figure startled Lu Taiyi.

No less than three million!

This sum for the two young masters was naturally nothing, but for common folk, it’s indeed a considerable fortune.

”Rich people are great, with them, my Buddha can truly descend!”
