Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

There was a strange and bitter look that appeared on Aisha’s face when I said this, but at least it didn’t seem like she was going to refute what I said.

Though it also didn’t seem like she was going to completely accept what I said either.

With the way that she looked at me, it was clear that she was conflicted about these words.

But I didn’t waste any time as I turned around to look at the elder before asking, ”I agree with you that she is a terrible mother, but that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t been putting in the effort to become a better person. If you ignore that effort, then you’re no different from her to your own child. All you’ll be left with is regret.”

There was a part of the elder’s smile that turned bitter after hearing this, but she didn’t let it affect her too much as she focused on Aisha.

The way that she looked at her was as if she was expectant of her reaction.

A complicated look appeared on Aisha’s face after hearing this before she slowly looked at the elder.

It was clear by the look in her eyes that she still had her doubts.

But at the very least, it seemed like she was giving the elder a chance to say what she wanted to say.

The elder just said with a sigh, ”I know what you think of me, but I am filled with regret over what happened back then. I know that I was wrong and I hurt both you and my granddaughter, which was why I came back here to take care of her after you left.”

Aisha’s expression didn’t change as there was the same complicated expression on it.

But it seemed that her eyes softened a bit…

Even if she thought of her mother as a terrible mother, she couldn’t deny the fact that this was the truth.

Even though Aisha had basically abandoned Moon in this village, it was because she knew that there were people here to take care of her. She knew that there were friends of her father that were here to watch over Moon if anything happened.

However, she also came back from time to time and learned about what her mother had done for Moon.

So it wasn’t as if she didn’t see the effort that the elder put in.

It was just that it was hard for her to accept this after what the elder had done when she was younger.

The trauma from the past wasn’t that easy to get over.

That was when Moon finally said, ”She’s been good to me over the years. She’s always been there when I…”

As her voice cut off, there was a change in Aisha’s expression.

It was clear that she knew what Moon was trying to say.

”When I was all alone. When you weren’t there.”

That was what Moon was about to say, but she stopped herself before saying it.

Though by stopping herself before saying it, it actually made it more effective than if she had said it. By trying to make it seem like she was strong enough that she didn’t need to say this, it made her seem more vulnerable.

When Aisha saw this, it was only natural that she faltered.

Even if she acted this way, she cared very much about her daughter since it was her daughter.

It was just that since there were many complicated things that happened in the past, it was hard for her to restrain her desire for freedom. That was why she wandered all over the world year round.

There was a long and awkward silence that hung in the air, but this time…Aisha didn’t seem as resistant as she was before. It seemed like she was slowly coming around on this matter with the way that the expression on her face changed.

In the end, she turned to look at the elder with a serious look in her eyes.

The elder had seemed like she had been ready for anything, but seeing Aisha look at her like this made her hesitate.

But in the end, she gave a nod and said, ”I know that I haven’t been the best mother to you. I know that I’m probably the worst mother in your opinion. However, I have seen the errors of my way and do have my regrets. I want to make up for what I’ve done in the past.”

Aisha narrowed her eyes to look at the elder, but she slowly gave a nod.

It was a step forward, but it was only a small step.

Still, even a small step was better than no steps at all.

At least she was willing to move forward instead of remaining in the past.

There wasn’t much that was said after that since it seemed like they were too embarrassed to say anything else.

But at the very least, it didn’t seem like there was the same hostility from before.

Even if she didn’t show it, it wasn’t as if there wasn’t a part of Aisha that had been thinking about this.

In the end, there was a small part of her that did want to get along with the elder.

They were mother and daughter after all.

It was just like how Moon yearned to get along with the mother that had abandoned her.

I just hoped that she would give up on the matter from before…

But that didn’t seem like it was going to happen as Aisha suddenly pulled me into a room alone.

This was done in front of Moon, so it didn’t seem like she was against it, but I still had to say something.

Only what she said made me completely stop.

It made me swallow the words that had been coming out of my mouth.

”I’ve been hearing things around the village. It seems like you’ve done more than just use my name. It seems like you know quite a bit about the elves that you shouldn’t have known as a human.”
