A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 901: Chapter 901: Stop Scheming Against Her!

Jiang Jingheng left with Mu Yan, while Jordon stayed behind, his face now devoid of its lighthearted composure, his smile replaced with restrained frustration.

His expression was cold, full of displeasure, as if his cherished treasure had been snatched away.

Especially since that person had spoken to him in Italian just now, saying, ”Don’t court her.”

He suddenly laughed; it was the first time he had seen Owen care so much about someone.

However, since he had encountered this situation, he certainly wouldn’t comply with Owen’s wishes.

After leaving the cafe, Jiang Jingheng and Mu Yan returned to the hotel room.

Seeing Jiang Jingheng deep in thought with a somber expression, Mu Yan’s mood also grew heavy.

Although Jordon had said yesterday’s incident wasn’t aimed at her, neither Jiang Jingheng nor he believed it, and of course, she didn’t either.

Because at that time, the car had clearly been heading towards her.

Moreover, she had previously felt someone was following her.

She didn’t know what she suddenly thought of, but a chill ran through her body.

Jiang Jingheng snapped out of his thoughts and noticed Mu Yan sitting on the sofa, twisting her fingers, looking dazed.

He walked over and asked, ”What’s wrong?”

”Nothing, just thought of something I’d forgotten,” Mu Yan shook her head.

”Hmm?”

Seeing him look at her inquisitively, Mu Yan replied, ”I felt like I was being followed when the incident happened, and then I recalled past incidents of being stalked.”

A hint of unease appeared on Jiang Jingheng’s handsome face, ”Don’t worry, it’s all over.”

”Okay.” Mu Yan nodded at him.

Jiang Jingheng checked his phone and said, ”You rest at the hotel first, I’ll go handle something.”

Mu Yan guessed where he was going and nodded, saying, ”Okay, stay safe.”

”Hmm.” Jiang Jingheng took his phone and went out.

Previously, Jiang Jingheng had asked a business partner in Italy to communicate with the police station.

Thus, his trip went smoothly, but he didn’t obtain any useful information.

Various evidence showed that Mu Yan indeed suffered from unforeseen trouble yesterday.

Although Jiang Jingheng didn’t believe it, being in Italy, he could only suppress his anger and investigate himself.

In the afternoon, Mu Yan, feeling bored in the hotel, dragged Jiang Jingheng outside to play.

This time, the bodyguards surrounded them in a high state of alert.

Previously, Mu Yan disliked this, and the bodyguards would follow from afar, but after the incident, she dared not be careless.

Hand in hand, the couple strolled down the streets, took a small boat ride around the Water City, and went on a spree buying local specialties.

Although Mu Yan had already done this yesterday, being with Jiang Jingheng felt different from being with others; it wasn’t just shopping and tourism, but enjoying life.

In the evening, Lin Jiamu called to ask where she was.

Only then did Mu Yan realize he had also come to Venice; he had been gradually transitioning into the film industry over the past two years, taking on many supporting roles. Given his current popularity, it was normal for directors to invite him along.

She looked at the man beside her, ”Lin Jiamu invited us to have dinner together tonight; shall we go?”

Jiang Jingheng didn’t even lift his eyelids, saying, ”If you want to go, go.”

”You’re not going?” Mu Yan looked at him in surprise.

”Hmm, I’m a bit tired, I’ll go back and rest first.”

Mu Yan remembered he hadn’t rested well yesterday, and immediately said, ”Then I won’t go either; after all, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to dine with him once we’re back home.”

”Hmm.” Jiang Jingheng squeezed her hand, looked away out the window, his light brown eyes filled with gloom.
