A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 935: Chapter 935: You Actually Dare to Hurt My Daughter!

Assault and injury? The Zhuang Family was a bit confused, Guan Chao?

Everyone gave him a strange look, making Guan Chao feel quite uncomfortable.

But this was the Zhuang Family, and he certainly had no place to speak, so he just kept his head down and endured it.

”What’s going on, is it serious?” Mrs. Zhuang asked.

After all, she watched him grow up. No matter how much trouble he caused, she didn’t want anything bad to happen to him.

”It’s not serious, someone intervened in time, so it can only be considered an attempted assault,” Old Sir Guan explained, ”But even so, he was seriously in the wrong.”

”Yes, Chao Chao, we can’t commit crimes,” Mrs. Zhuang said earnestly to Guan Chao.

Guan Chao kept silent, his head down, it was unclear if he was listening or not.

Mrs. Guan nudged her son, hinting that he should not overstep the line.

Guan Chao gave her an irritated glance.

He didn’t really harm anyone. Did they really need to ask the Zhuang Family for help? The Guan Family is quite reputable in Beijing too.

Besides, asking him to kneel to the Zhuang Family, for what reason?

Just for a minor celebrity. Even if he did hurt her, so what!

”So what’s the situation now, did they press charges against Chao Chao?” Ruan Xinyu asked Mrs. Guan.

”No.” Mrs. Guan shook her head, noticing Ruan Xinyu’s genuine concern, she felt a sudden pang of unease; could it be that the Zhuang Family didn’t know about this incident?

She turned to look at Mr. Zhuang and Mrs. Zhuang, further confirming her suspicion.

”Then why did you come over today?” Ruan Xinyu asked again.

Mrs. Guan didn’t speak, looking at her husband for help, but he was also at a loss, and looked toward Old Sir Guan.

Old Sir Guan understood the temperament of Mr. and Mrs. Zhuang, and immediately realized they were kept in the dark.

”This rascal Chao Chao almost harmed Nuannuan. I’m bringing him here to apologize. No need to go easy on him, do as you see fit,” he said.

The Guan Family looked at Mr. Zhuang with sincere expressions, showing their earnest apology.

But the Zhuang Family was still stunned. What? They came to apologize? And it’s related to Nuannuan.

”Old Guan, explain yourself clearly,” Mrs. Zhuang frowned and said.

Old Sir Guan looked at the serious expression of his sister-in-law, knowing today’s issue wouldn’t be easily resolved.

He apologized and said, ”Chao Chao is immature. One of his friends disliked Nuannuan, so, caught up in loyalty, he foolishly sought trouble with her.”

Guan Chao had been wandering about outside, only being called back by his family yesterday, so no one told him Mu Yan was the daughter of the Zhuang Family.

Until now, he thought Mu Yan was just a minor celebrity, feeling resistant and puzzled about today’s visit to the Zhuang Family.

But hearing Old Sir Guan’s explanation now, he understood everything.

Previously, he had indeed heard from his family that the Zhuang Family had found their long-lost youngest daughter, but he never expected that the minor celebrity was actually the daughter of the Zhuang Family.

No wonder Zhuang Chujiao complained to him before.

The return of the legitimate daughter must have made this illegitimate daughter feel her status threatened.

Now he felt somewhat relieved he hadn’t harmed anyone, otherwise, given the Zhuang Family’s fondness for Zhuang Xiangnuan, they surely wouldn’t have let him off easily.

Of course, maybe considering his attempted assault and the relationship between the two families, they might downplay the seriousness?

”You say the target of his attempted assault was Nuannuan?” Mrs. Zhuang’s voice suddenly rose, and the look in her eyes towards Guan Chao changed, devoid of any affection.

Ruan Xinyu, Zhuang Zeyang, Zhuang Shaoyang, and others all had changes in their expressions, especially Zhuang Shaoyang. He rushed forward to hit Guan Chao, ”Brat, how dare you harm my daughter, do you want me to kill you!”

Thankfully, Zhuang Zeyang stopped him, but even so, Guan Chao was startled.

He felt a little guilty, knowing the Zhuang Family was famous for being protective, so today’s matter probably wouldn’t be easily settled.
