A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 248: Chapter 248: Wait for Mrs. Jiang to come back and sleep together

In the blink of an eye, it was late October, and Mu Yan’s scenes were almost finished.

The last scene was where the Imperial Concubine was falsely accused of harming the protagonist’s unborn child, her family was confiscated, and additionally, she discovered that the Emperor had only been using her all along. Finally, she donned a red dress and hanged herself.

After the shooting was over, the entire crew stood up to applaud Mu Yan, congratulating her on the completion of her film.

Mu Yan went around thanking everyone, letting out a sigh of relief.

Zhao Xiyue looked at her and smiled, ”Even when my Imperial Concubine gets killed off, she’s so beautiful.”

Mu Yan laughed, ”If you praise me like this, I’ll blush.”

”Don’t blush just yet. Let’s discuss something—how about we find a place to celebrate tonight?” Zhao Xiyue nudged her arm.

Mu Yan earnestly said, ”I’ll treat everyone to dinner.”

”Alright, Mu Yan is treating us tonight, everyone, don’t hold back!” Zhao Xiyue announced loudly.

Others joined in the fun, saying, ”Then we really won’t hold back!”

Mu Yan looked gratefully at Zhao Xiyue, thankful that she was there, otherwise she wouldn’t know how to handle it.

In the evening, the whole crew hired a bus to go out for dinner.

Since they had to shoot the next day, everyone simply ate and chatted, and those who liked to drink just sipped a few glasses.

Zhao Xiyue walked from one end to the other with a wine glass, drinking on behalf of Mu Yan.

”My sister has a low alcohol tolerance, so as her senior sister, I’ll drink for her. You don’t mind, right?” Zhao Xiyue declared outright.

Considering her status and everyone knowing her close friendship with Mu Yan, naturally, there were no objections.

They drank beer that evening, so Zhao Xiyue drank two bottles but was perfectly fine.

After dinner, everyone returned to the hotel together.

Zhao Xiyue pulled Mu Yan along the street since it would be hard to meet again after they parted this time.

She asked, ”Why did you take up acting? Was it because of your brother?”

She had also followed the news about Mu Yan online.

”Not entirely, but I do really like acting now.” Mu Yan smiled, ”What about you?”

”As for me, I originally wanted to be a police officer, but my family didn’t agree. Later, I discovered that I could play a police officer in dramas, so I took this path instead,” Zhao Xiyue laughed.

Mu Yan gave her a surprised look, amazed by this reason.

Zhao Xiyue asked, ”If you weren’t acting, what would you do?”

Mu Yan shook her head, ”I don’t know either.”

”Don’t you have any dreams?” Zhao Xiyue was a bit surprised.

A girl so pure and quiet like her would be focused and goal-oriented.

Mu Yan was silent for a moment and said, ”I used to want to be an oil painter, traveling the world with a canvas, capturing every beautiful scene on the journey.”

”Wow, so you can paint. Why didn’t you continue with it?” Zhao Xiyue looked astonished.

Mu Yan smiled, ”That dream is too extravagant.”

Zhao Xiyue thought of her family situation and comforted, ”Once you’re more famous in a few years, you’ll be able to pursue your dream again.”

Mu Yan didn’t reply, with her mom gone, what dreams could she still have?

After dropping Zhao Xiyue back at the hotel, Mu Yan packed her things and then took Luo Yao with her to return to Upper City by car.

It was already one o’clock in the morning when she arrived in Upper City.

The lights in the villa were still on, and Mu Yan thought it was Yu Ma. Upon entering, she saw Jiang Jingheng walking towards her.

She looked at him in surprise, ”Why haven’t you gone to sleep yet?”

Jiang Jingheng’s lips curved up, ”Of course I’m waiting for Mrs. Jiang to return so we can sleep together.”

He took the suitcase from her hand and headed upstairs.

Mu Yan realized something, changed her shoes, and followed him. Sure enough, he took the suitcase to his room.
